LET THE WORLD CATCH UP TO YOUR INNER REALITY!
(via How to Feel Better and Create A More Beautiful World)
We make Reality Bubbles from our individual consciousness. And our individual consciousness is constantly changing for it needs to be dynamically balanced moment by moment with what remains unconscious inside of us.
This blog explores individual and collective consciousness and how they shape and form inner and outer reality.

“In the previous pieces of the Storytelling Species Series, we have explored how individual attitudes, beliefs, and thinking styles can influences our individual perceptions of reality. We also looked at how stories can influence our understanding of reality (inner and outer). We even explored how stories can become shared narratives that serve as foundational building blocks of our great civilizations and complicated societies. We also looked at how other kind of stories (e.g., conspiracy myths) can pull us together and shred our shared reality. These types of stories are carefully crafted narratives created by people craving attention and power and such people make up stories designed to tear us apart and make us distrust each other. They do this because in a civilization that is in a state of chaos and distrust, it is much easier to carve out a group of people who they can manipulate and control.
Each and every person alive today contributes to the quality of our shared reality–at local levels, at national levels, and at global levels. It all begins with our individual understanding of reality (our inner world), which is contributed to our shared reality (our outer world) through our thoughts, words, and deeds (conscious and unconscious), through our feelings (conscious and unconscious), and through our sensations, specifically, what we pay attention to and what we ignore. We also contribute to our individual and shared reality through our instinctual and intuitive responses to what happens to us as we journey through space and time.”

Along the same vine as the previous post, I’m not a female who never blames my environment, my family or my sweet husband. In fact, I’m quite well-practiced at reality-denial and placing blames.
The body issue blame, however, has never been my game. Even thought, I think it is amazing that plus-sized models are a thing these days and there is a movement towards healthier-weighed models.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not a skinny, “perfect” bodied lady. I was told by my GP when I was 17 that I needed to lose weight. I think I was around 66kg at 165cm at the time. The GP’s explained to me that women get fatter as they get older due to metabolism slowing down, and if I didn’t start losing weight then, I would grow into an obese Asian woman by the time I was my 40. I did not like my size, I felt heavy, but at the same time, I didn’t pay too much attention to what the GP said. I had poor discipline and I was not a fan of exercising or dieting - due to the poor discipline and self-control.
Fast-track 15 years, I have been between 57-60kg for the past 2 years without having committed myself to any diet programme or exercise programme. I’m at a healthy weight, and I don’t have a magazine bikini body, and to be honest, it really doesn’t bother me. I have my own bikini body.
(I’m not only lighter but taller as well - I grew 2cm since graduating from university. Girls stop growing at 15/16 years of age is a bit of a myth in my opinion)
And how did I lose the weight? I would put it down to being happier, living more mindfully, having made friends with a few of my demons, and now I focus on eating foods that actually make me feel good after eating them. I stopped eating most cakes because they give me a sugar headache and yucky feelings in my throat after eating; most of the time I steer way away from crisps as well for the same reason - I feel yuck after eating these things. Oh, and I stopped overeating and mindlessly eating.
I believe a lot of women would actually get a body they are much happier with, if some introspection and mindfulness were employed in their daily lives.
Stop reading the tabloids, stop reading the women’s magazines or looking at billboards with a skinny ladies and feel the unjust of this “patriarchal” society we live in.
Start reading our inner reality. This is where the gold is.
Female physical insecurities

Throughout my life, the people who seem to pay the most attention to other female’s bodies seem to be women. The men I have chatted to, basically love the female body because it’s a woman’s body.
Growing up in Asia, having full breasts attracted attention from both genders. The girls teased out of jealousy - hoping they would have the same full breasts, and the teasing was not always friendly.
Body confidence comes from the inside, not by the external environment being completely devoid of pictures of skinny women.
Sometimes it seems the people who wrote these messages on the billboards (vandalism) are complaining for the sake of complaining. Instead of using the energy for introspection, the energy is being directed at creating issues in the external environment.
