So some of you are probably familiar with Innerworks, one of, if not the, most read and loved Sanders Sides stories online. I too love this story, and have become close friends with its author, @prplzorua. But now I've learned that someone on Wattpad has been doing a rip off of her story that not only claims the idea as their own, but also includes particularly dark material that toes the line with unacceptable.
I will not stand idly by while my friend's reputation is sullied and her story suffers for someone else's wrongdoings. So I'm asking all of you out there for your help.
Please spread the word about this situation. Help everyone understand what is going on. Do your best to make sure that this misunderstanding ends here. And please do your best to show our dear author that she is loved, and that her story and her work are loved, and we won't allow someone to destroy what she has worked so hard to build.
Prplzorua, I'd like to start this by telling you how much your story, and your friendship have meant to me. It was our correspondence that convinced me to become a more active member of this community. You inspired me to start being more open with my fellow fanders, and even start posting my own writing. I will be forever grateful for what you've done for me over these past few months.
I hope that we can get this taken care of quickly and easily, and that we all remember what @thatsthat24 tried to teach us almost a year ago:
