It had been an extremely hot day in town, the best thing he could have thought of doing was perhaps grabbing himself an ice cream cone in an effort to combat the heat, however, on his way to say shop his eyes caught the sight of a woman, a rather beautiful woman. Sanji’s suave and cool demeanour had instantly died the moment he saw her. He found himself skipping over to her. Within no time at all Sanji was in front of the woman holding her hand. It was such a simple little trick, but the child before him was so excited, that she'd leapt up in joy without making sure that there wasn't anyone nearby, knocking into the young woman that had been passing by, Lyney quickly moving to her side and catching her before she could fall. "Wow there, are you alright?", he asked in a gentle tone, the small girl gazing on with wide eyes, looking as though she was about to burst into tears at any moment.

the days had been far too long — far too daunting. the circumstances of the current situation were indeed less that favorable, to say the least. having been on the run for what felt like eons, the bearer of crown clown wandered about without any true aim in mind ; there was only but one goal, and that was to survive. 

❝ damn it, cross... ❞ came a mumble, huffed from between palerose lips as a sharp pain scorched his left arm once more. apocryphos had been on the hunt, scouring the lands for a certain allen walker to no avail. alas, what could he do? the black order were his enemies, the church was his enemy, the noah were his enemies — allen walker — ... no, nea d. campbell, had no friends nor foes. the only one he had any confidence and faith in were rendered 'dead', for better or for worst, he was essentially alone right now. the 'old friend' had now since forgotten him. all he truly had left was his golden golem, timcanpy. 

gingerlycradling his left arm which ached due to a most unpleasant almost encounter with apocryphos, the noah could only walk aimlessly, trusty companion floating by his side. before he knew it, the young man would come across what seemed to be a place of respite — a cafe. it surely couldn't hurt. 

opening the door, he stepped inside, immediately the beautiful aroma of baked goods and freshly brewed coffee filled his senses ; alongside, a tender droplet of nostalgia for a time long consumed by the claws of time. a place in time, wherein mana and he were bickering over who got to eat the butterscotch biscuits, as katerina laughed joyously as the two young boys fought over something so trivial... he hadn't realized how silly he must look, standing there with his eyes closed as he soaked in the cozy atmosphere. then, his mind shifted attention to the melodious tune of the piano being played. white lashes fluttered as his eyes opened once more, a curious gaze falling upon the piano, and the one who was playing it.

"Well, that makes two of us." A low laugh escaped as he tipped his head back to down the shot he held in his hand. He then called for a second, which he got within a few moments. It was a dingy, old bar. Complete with dim lighting, yet wasn't too crowded, likely due to the late hour of night. Seemingly the only time when someone like Boothill could acquire a drink, less chances of being recognized or chased out.

"Now, not tryna pry or anythin', but what's someone like you doin' in a run down place like this?" he ultimately asked, gaze turning towards her, a glint of curiosity lighting in his eyes. "This ain't exactly a... upstandin' corner of the galaxy. Doesn't attract the best people. Not that I'm one of 'em. If anythin', I'm tryna hunt those unsavory characters down."

it is always in his best interest to consume the desires of anyone that he can ignite the fire of ambition within, to nurture gently before consuming. it is only in his nature to do so although he prefers a much passive approach. fear spoils the taste of a meal he dedicates much of his time and effort to. although some humans are wary of him at times.
