Okay, so...slightly tipsy at the moment as I get ready for bed here in Pittsburgh, but I just need to say that I can't even begin to comprehend the idiocy of so many Monkees fans on Facebook. I give so many incredibly huge amounts of kudos to inshecried/aspaceoddityapproaches for attempting to take these people on, because god knows I would have gone insane by now if I tried. It's obvious that not one of them has the remotest shred of who Michael Nesmith really is, because if they did, they wouldn't be saying all this ludicrous shit and parroting the same tired rumors that we've all heard a billion times. UGH.

Anyway...yes. I need to go to bed, but I had to get that out. And bless all of you whom I follow for being among the sane and wonderful fans out there in Monkee world. You guys rock and continually prevent me from committing justifiable homicide on a weekly basis. Woo! Haha.

RIGHT? Jesus. I will never understand people being surprised at the Monkees not always wanting to do meet n' greets or extensive tours. Want to know why that is? Here's your answer. I can't imagine having to deal with this for as many years as they have now. And Peter I could tell was trying hard to be civil with these women...even when they demanded multiple pictures and were getting in his face, or were taking pictures of him talking to other fans (which, btw, in my opinion turns the moment into a spectacle and rather ruins it for that fan who is trying to talk to him). But when the one woman asked that question about videotaping the Monkees show, he finally snapped. And of course she was all, "Okay, okay! Geez!" like offended at him losing his cool. I really should have told her off...I don't know why I didn't...

I knowwwww, man. That was really a moment. However it was balanced out by the random hilariousness of an audience member requesting "Peter Percival Patterson's Pet Pig Porky" and them impromptu PERFORMING "Peter Percival Patterson's Pet Pig Porky" for Peter. Haha.
