a/n: inside is finally out holy shit, here is a stand alone, mind you this is being written with only ep 1 out so there will be inaccuracies in lore and canon content x
The door to the 'inside' house slammed shut behind you, the sound echoing in the unnervingly quiet, grey hallway. You dropped your suitcase by the entrance, with the guard who gave you a firm greeting.
"Hello? Is anyone here?" you called out, your voice sounding small in the empty space, hoping to not be the only one.
A moment of silence, then a voice drifted from the main living area. It was deep, with a thick northen hint. "Yeah, in 'ere!"
You followed the sound, your heels clicking softly as you walked into the massive, open living room. And there he was. AB. The greyish black young la jumper and sweats he had on had you checking him out. Your new house mate, god. His curly brunette hair was short on the sides and styled with volume on top, and you could just make out the line of a sharp jaw.
He turned as you approached, and you had to physically stop yourself from gasping. His eyes, a clear green, met yours, and a small, hesitant smile played on his lips, framed by a neat moustache and the shadow of a beard. He was even better looking in person.
You'd seen his videos, infact you'd seen the thirst edits of him. You knew what was hiding underneath that jumper.
"Alright?" he said, his voice a little softer now.
"Hi, I'm Reader," you managed, extending a hand.
He took it, his grip firm and warm. "Alfie. AB. Whatever, really." He let go, shoving his hands in his pockets, a sudden wave of awkwardness washing over him. "So, you're the first one then?"
"Seems like it. You beat me to it," you replied, your lips curling into a slow smile. You let your gaze linger on him, taking in every detail. The way you knew his biceps were hiding underneath. You were giving him the full, undiluted version of the fuck me eyes, and you could see the exact moment it registered. A faint blush crept up his neck, and he suddenly found the floor fascinating.
For the next thirty minutes, as you waited for the other contestants to arrive, you made small talk. You talked about YouTube, about the insanity of being locked in a house for a week, about the food you hoped they'd have (about the food he hoped they didn't have).
But the entire conversation was charged with an unspoken tension. You leaned in closer than necessary when he spoke, you laughed a little too loudly at his jokes, and your eyes never left his for more than a few seconds. Alfie, for his part, was a mess of nervous energy. He was clearly used to being the funny, confident one, but faced with an attractive woman giving him blatant signals in a unusual, high pressure environment, he was fumbling. He kept running a hand through his hair, stammering over his words, and avoiding your direct gaze, which only made him more endearing.
The house quickly filled up, and soon you were all gathered in the main area for the first challenge. Simon and KSI, stood before you, grinning, their mouths wide.
"Right then, you lot," KSI boomed. "Time to see what you're made of. We're going to test your nerve."
Two large, opaque boxes were brought out. "Come on forward, you'll be asked a question, leaving the box is 10 thousand pounds and not answering the question will cost you. The quicker you answer the quicker you get out," Simon announced. You and a girl named Chian Reynolds were pushed forward.
The rules were simple: stick your head in the box for sixty seconds while something unpleasant was inside with you. The moment you both had your heads in, you felt it. The skittering of tiny legs on your neck, in your hair. Cockroaches.
A scream ripped from your throat, pure terror. You couldn't see them, but you could feel them everywhere. Beside you, Chian was whimpering, her body trembling. In a moment of pure panic, you shot your hand out and grabbed hers, squeezing tight. She squeezed back, a silent pact of shared horror.
Chian went first, "In the house, who would be the worst person to interview?" she read, still catching her breath. Without missing a beat, she glanced over at Alfie, who was trying to look supportive. "Alfie," she said with a small shriek. "You jus- you do vlogging right! not that interesting!" The room erupted in laughter, Alfie included, though he looked a little bashful.
Now it was your turn. You waited with eyes and mouth closed, your hands still trembling, KSI opened his mouth and the second he did you knew it was going to be shit.
Shag, Marry, Kill any of the male housemates.
A fresh wave of panic, different from the cockroaches, hit you. You could feel everyone's eyes on you. Marlon, the ridiculously charming and handsome man you knew all too well from edits and clips, was watching with a confident smirk, clearly expecting to be the 'shag'. You opened your mouth to speak, but just then, you felt a tickle on your neck, the cockroaches.
"Can I say shag and marry for the same person?" you blurted out, your voice high and tight, trying not to scream.
A collective "Ooooooh" went through the room. Simon's eyes lit up. JJ practically bounced on his feet. "YES! DO IT!" JJ yelled.
You took a deep breath, your eyes darting around the room. You looked at Marlon, then deliberately looked away. Your gaze landed on Alfie, who was sitting to the side of Marlon, Alfie looked at Marlon and started hyping him up, going off about some 'obvious choice'.
"Marry AB," you said clearly. "Shag AB. Kill Expressions."
The room exploded in cheers and whistles. Marlon, looking shocked, turned and nudged Alfie hard in the ribs, a look of impress on his face. Alfie just stood there, his face showing pure shock. He didn't know how to register this and started making cringey mutters to himself that no one heard to fill in the blanks of not saying anything. He was so awkward, so completely overwhelmed, that you had to suppress a giggle.
Later that evening, a message over the TV read out, "Reader and AB, please make your way to Room 19."
Your heart hammered in your chest. Room 19 was the interview room. Of course. You walked in silence down the hallway, Alfie a few steps behind you. The room was small, soundproofed, with one plush, ridiculously fluffy pink armchair facing a single camera. You sat down, sinking into the soft fabric, and Alfie took the seat next to you.
The camera light blinked on. A stack of cards lay on the small table between you. Alfie, trying to take control of the situation, leaned forward and picked one up. He cleared his throat, his accent sounding thicker than ever.
"AB," he read, his eyes scanning the card before flicking to you. "What are your thoughts on Reader saying she would shag and marry you?"
You both let out a nervous, awkward laugh. His eyes were wide with panic. He was trying to be smooth, to play along for the cameras, but it was coming out all wrong.
He leaned closer, a clumsy attempt at being flirtatious. "Oh, great," he stammered, a nervous grin on his face. "Should we just shag then? Oi can I say that on camera or is that a red card or wha- have I fucked this?"
The words hung in the air, clumsy and ridiculous. But you didn't laugh. You turned your head slowly, looking him dead in the eye. The nervous energy was still there, but beneath it, you saw something else.
"Yeah," you said, your voice low and steady. "Let's."
For a second, he just stared, completely frozen. The camera light blinked off, and a voice said "Cut! That's a wrap, you two can head back up."
The spell was broken. But as you made to move, you turned to him one last time. "I'm down if you're down," you whispered, your breath warm against his ear.
That was all it took. His hand shot out, not with hesitation, but with a purpose that made you gasp, grabbing your waist and hauling you from your side of the chair onto his lap. You straddled him, the fluffy pink chair enveloping you both as his legs tensed beneath you. His other hand slid up your thigh, making its way with confidence to the waistband of your sweats. "Been thinkin' about this since you walked in"
He didn't ask, he didn't falter, his fingers dipped beneath the elastic and the cotton of your panties, finding you slick, swollen and needy. His eyes never left yours.
He wasted no time. There was no exploration, no gentle teasing. He worked you with a skill that made your head spin and your cunt clench. His thumb found your clit, circling the tight bundle of nerves with a pressure that was borderline too much, exactly what you needed. Two thick fingers drove into you, curving upwards to stroke that sensitive spot deep inside, his knuckles dragging against your entrance with every thrust. "You're alright angel, breathe"
Your breath was coming in ragged pants, and then he slowed his thumb, changed the angle of his fingers, pulling you back from the moment just to watch you squirm.
His awkwardness had completely melted away, replaced by a raw, intoxicating dominance. He watched you, his eyes dark and predatory. A smirk played on his lips, a cruel, beautiful thing, as he felt you tremble uncontrollably against him. He could feel your walls tightening around his fingers.
Just as you were about to cum, as your whole body locked up and your vision started to blur, he stopped.
He pulled his hand away, leaving you empty, around nothing, aching with a loss so large. He brought his glistening fingers to his lips, his eyes locked on yours as he slowly, deliberately cleaned your juices from them.
"Done"
He looked at your flushed, desperate face, at the tears of frustration pricking the corners of your eyes, and his smirk widened. He leaned in, his lips brushing against your ear, his accent a growl that vibrated through your entire being.
"See you back up there then, girl."
"You're fucking evil you can't do that" Your lips parted with a soft gasp of disbelief. "AB what the fuck"
With that, he gently lifted you off his lap and stood up, smoothing down his tracksuit bottoms as if nothing had happened. He walked to the door without a backward glance, leaving you panting and dazed in the fluffy chair. The door clicked shut behind him, and you were left alone in the sudden deafening silence, a mess of a blubbery frustration.
You took a moment to compose yourself, pulling your pants up and running a hand through your hair. Your legs felt weak as you walked back to the main living area. The second you stepped in, you felt the shift in the atmosphere. Everyone was lounging around, but a wave of knowing looks and sly smiles washed over you. Marlon wolf whistled, and Chloe winked at you.
They didn't know what had happened but after the challenge you knew this would be an on going bit.
Alfie was already back, sitting on a large sofa, one arm draped along the back. He was laughing at something alhan had said, looking completely at ease. He caught your eye as you entered, and for a split second, his confident mask slipped. You saw a flicker of the nervous boy from before, but it was gone as quickly as it appeared, replaced by that same infuriating, irresistible smirk. He patted the empty space on the (hard) sofa right next to him.
You walked over, swaying your hips just a little more than necessary, and sat down beside him, leaving a sliver of space between you.
"Having fun?" you asked, your voice light and airy, as if you'd just been having a pleasant chat about the weather.
He leaned in, his lips brushing against your ear, his voice low and deep, only you could hear. "Loads. You?"
You turned your head, your faces inches apart. "Getting there," you murmured, your eyes challenging his. "The view's quite good."
His grin widened. He loved this. He loved the back and forth, the public game of cat and mouse. For the rest of the evening, it was your personal play ground. Every time you stood up to get a drink, his hand would "accidentally" brush against your ass. When you were all crowded around the kitchen island, he'd press his body against yours from behind to "reach for a glass," his hard cock a deliberate promise against your lower back. He was marking his territory, and you were letting him, loving every second of the torture.
You wanted to scream. You wanted to straddle him right there on the sofa and ride him until you couldn't remember your own name. But you knew that's exactly what he wanted. So you waited. You knew exactly what, or more like who, you were doing as soon as you got out of here.
Alongside with that wish, there was only one other, the prayer that netflix would cancel your parents subscription.

“I’m smiling, but out of nervousness.” PK rocked back and forth on his feet as he and Patrice stood in front of you all; the ‘Happy Birthday, Whitney!’ sign in the background mocking all your worried faces and fear settling in your stomachs.
Your hand remained intertwined with George’s, his steady breathing brushing the side of your face keeping your wits calm (as much as they could be). “I can’t lie to you, cause it’s actually a tough, tough decision, but…” PK continued.
“So, we can confirm that…” Your heart was pounding out of your chest and your hands were definitely clammy right now; making a mental note to apologise to George later as his hand enveloped your profusely sweating ones.
“We had to go with Mandi.” PK announced.
The room was uncomfortably quiet, a few light gasps ringing around the room but on some level, everyone expected it. You let out a deep breath, body relaxing onto George’s as his hand that was stroking your hair, brought your head close to him and pressed a kiss on your hairline. You could hear him mumble a soft, “Thank fuck.” but you chose to ignore it and let your eyes drift to Mandi who pointed at the two men in front of you.
“Snakes! Snakes! That’s wild, you know.” Mandi shook her head. You understood of her friendship between Whitney, PK and herself; so, seeing her eliminated took you by surprise.
Despite the occasional tiffs with Mandi, you stood up and out of George’s embrace to wrap Mandi into a comforting hug. “I’m so sorry.” You said to her, leaning back and seeing her shake her head. “Don’t worry, it wasn’t your fault.” She peered over your shoulder to glare at PK.
She held your shoulders and grinned at you, “If anything, I’m sorry for how mean I’ve been to you during my time here,” You opened your mouth to protest, “No, seriously. You have to win, babes.” You smiled at her gesture and wrapped her in another farewell hug.
Mandi walked towards the bedrooms and turned to everyone as they apologised to her, “I am shocked, but don’t worry. I’m all good. I’m a big girl. I’m good.” You winced at her attempt to act cool, trailing behind the group and staying with Patrice, Cinna and George at the back as Mandi packed her stuff.
George had a blue party hat in his hand and stood behind you as his hands sneaked around your face to snap the party hat on your head. You blinked in surprise at the sudden action, hands reaching up to feel the hat as George adjusted it to sit pretty on top of your head.
You turned around to see him staring at you with a cheeky smile. Sucking your teeth to supress a smile, you shook your head and flicked the elastic of his own matching hat which made him flinch as he laughed. “Not the time for a party, George.” You said through a light laugh.
George grinned, “It suits you.” You pulled a quizical face and shoved his shoulder slightly. He wrapped his hands around your waist and lifted you up to settle you next to him so he could reach Patrice; the pair of you laughing as he did so.
George’s hand rested on Patrice’s shoulder and politely asked him, “You alright?”
Patrice sighed heavily, “It’s tough. You know, I like to play tough and everything. But when you send someone home, you know…” You and Cinna made eye contact and nodded sympathetically as she finished the sentence for him, “It’s sad.”
“I’m trying to be fair.” George nodded at Patrice, “Yeah, that makes sense.”
Patrice continued, “We had Milli. We had Farah. PK brought up Y/N quite a bit.”
Your eyebrows shot up and your eyes widened at the mention of your name. George wrapped an arm around your waist and used the free one to snatch the hat he previously put on his head, “Yeah, this feels wrong now.” He laughed and yanked off his own.
George tightened his grip on your waist and brought up the thing that was nagging at him, “Wait, you said PK mentioned Y/N, was she a serious option to be eliminated for you?”
Patrice nodded at you. Furrowing your brows, you spoke up “Like, tell us on a percentage, what were the chances of me going home tonight?” You bit on your lip in curiosity.
Patrice screwed up his face and calculated in his head, waving his arms around he said, “Maybe, 70% or 80%.” His face seemed apologetic and it was obvious that he wasn’t the one opting for your departure.
Your mouth dropped open at the numbers he provided, “Fuck off… you’re kidding, right?” An awkward smile etched onto your face. George’s face was one of shock, a sick feeling brewing in his stomach at the image of you leaving this house right now instead of Mandi.
“PK wanted her gone?” He pulled your body closer to his as Patrice nodded. George licked his lips and patted your waist with his finger, “I’ll be right back.” He walked off with certainty.
Cinna watched George stride off, glancing at you with a smug smirk on her face. “Little boyfriend defending you, Y/N?” She winked at you. You laughed and shook your head, kicking her shin as you left the room, “Shut up, Cinna!” Her laugh could be heard from the hallway, calling back to her “Come on, let’s say goodbye to Mandi!”
Her skips echoed behind you and her arm linked with yours as the group guided Mandi towards the exit. Mandi was loudly expressing her distaste towards PK, “I’m gonna fucking do him like that.”
You walked over to where Whitney was trying to consolidate the girl, “Come on, Mandi.” You joined in and brushed your hand against her shoulder to urge her out the door, “Mandi, leave it. It’s fine.”
Mandi shook her head, “Think I’m scared of PK?” You opened your mouth to spew out pointless facts to protect PK and Mandi’s dignity, despite PK advocates to vote you out. Mandi interrupted you.
“Y/N, don’t fucking trust anyone. I’m being serious.” You shook your head, “Mandi, I’m fine. Please, just can we leave you on a good note--" "Don’t even trust George.”
You froze, “What?” Mandi placed her hands on your shoulders, “It’s all a game to them, they’ll do anything to win.” You protested, “Mandi, I’m sure me and George are fine, he wouldn’t do that.”
“I didn’t think PK would but here we are.” She caught you offguard because… she was right. PK said he wouldn’t vote her out but here you were seeing her out the door with her suitcases; and a banana covered Milli lurking in the background. “I’m just looking out for you, Y/N. Please. Just think about it.”
You swallowed and nodded slowly, peering over your shoulder to see George hovering near PK, waiting to pull him for a much needed chat revolving around yourself.
Mandi took a deep breath, “Anyway, guys. I love you.” She waved and disappeared through the door you entered a couple days ago. As the door closed, you made eye contact with her and she nodded at you, reminding you of her comments and what the game was really about.
You stood there for a moment and let everyone else leave before yourself, staring at the door still. A hand on your shoulder took you out of your thoughts, “What did she say to you?” Milli said softly, just the two of you in the room now.
You shook your head, “Nothing. It was just… nothing.” You sighed and sent her a weak smile. She understood you didn’t want to talk about it right now and let herself be patient, making sure to ask you the same question again later when the chaos had died down. Milli grabbed your wrist lightly, “Come on, let’s go back.” You let her pull you out the room.

“They’re not strong enough to take them down now. I reckon if one of them goes, the other will too. So, my logic was that we wait it out a bit and then vote her out in the later stages, then two strong competitors are gone in one hit.” PK whispered to Jason and DDG in the bathroom.
DDG nodded along, “Yeah, let’s be honest; he isn’t staying if she goes.” The small group all murmured in agreement. Quickly dispersing as they heard footsteps approach the room. Jason poked his head out, “It’s George. It’s George. It’s good.”
George loitered around the bathrooms, Whitney cutting in front of him before he could defend your honour. “I’m not mad at you.” She started, “The gag is that I heard Patrice say that you wanted Y/N out too, but opted for Mandi. What’s that about?”
PK put on a smile and shook his head, “I didn’t say that.” Whitney squinted her eyes at him, “Since we’re all talking shit, what’s big? That’s all I know.” Was the final thing she said before she strutted out the bathroom, leaving space for George to slip in.
George propped his arm up against the door of the bathroom and leaned against it, eyes fixed on PK. “So, why did you want Y/N out?” He demanded and shrugged his shoulders.
PK’s eyes widened at the new presence in the room and Jason flicked his head between the two in a stare off. “I didn’t do that, brother.” PK started. “No, you know you did.” George cut him off.
PK showed nonchalance, “I think you’ve got this all wrong.” He laughed it off and looked towards Jason for him to join in, Jason held an awkward face and rather sided with George for the moment.
George licked his lips and shook his head, “No, I know what happened. You wanted Y/N out because she’s a threat to you and you’re only in here for one reason.” He told PK straight, leaving no room for interruption.
PK opened his mouth to respond immediately before he shut it, deliberating his response. He cleared his throat and stared at a stern face George, “Aren’t you in here for the same reason as all of us?”
George remained silent and let PK continue, “I mean we all want that money right?” Jason beside them nodded while George stayed unmoved, “How would me voting out Y/N affect this in any way? It just makes our route to the final that much easier.” He gestured with his hands.
George sighed, “Come on, man. It’s Y/N. On any level do you really think I’m gonna be alright with people wanting her out--”
“But she gets in the way of your chances of winning. Am I right?”
The man stayed silent because he was partially right. George had a little chance of winning now you were in the house, due to him being willing to risk everything for you. Taking the hits for you in challenges or defending you in house chats, throwing himself under the bus in the process as he sided with you. He didn’t form alliances because he only wanted to stay with you in the house and protect you, and vice versa.
PK patted George on the shoulder, “It’s a game we all have to play. There are tactics to this, George.” He furrowed his brows, “Don’t let people get in your way of winning this, much like me.”
It was awkwardly quiet in the bathroom as George let PK’s words settle in his mind, unsure whether to take his advice at the time or to completely ignore it to benefit not only himself, but you. Everything he’s done in this house so far has been for you, so what harm would there be if he stopped this?
To break the tension; Jason exclaimed, “Whitney is a fucking rat.”
time skip!
“We didn’t do the minute of silence for Mandi?” PK questioned as he entered the room.
You were led on the sofa between George’s legs as your back rested against his chest, his chin comfy on your shoulder and his hands fiddled with the hem of your t-shirt, your hands were settled on top of his large ones.
Whitney stood up with a cup of beverage in her hand, “I’m not doing a minute of silence, man. That’s a piss take.” She defended her friend who was no longer in the house. PK gestured for her to leave the room, tension brewing in the room. “Get out then. We wanna do it.”
“I’m literally not. That’s a piss take.” She squirmed in PK’s embrace. “Cause Mandi was a good vibe.” She responded to Patrices question.
George handed you his harmonica for you to play with, noticing your bored face and eyes glassy from staring into space.
“We’re not gonna act like Mandi was Dylan.” Whitney said, leaning on her chair.
You felt George behind you tense up, hands tightening on your shirt that you were sure would leave creases you would need to iron out. “What the fuck does that mean? That’s mean.” His brows were furrowed and he adjusted you slightly as he sat up to become involved with the conversation.
Whitney looked at George, “It’s not a mean thing to say.” George gestured with his arms, “It is. What do you mean ‘we’re not gonna act like Mandi was a Dylan?’”
You nodded along with George’s defence. Whitney waved her hands around, “Let me clear this mean girl narrative up.”
You squinted your eyes and tilted your head, “Whitney, the way you said it was bad.” You tried to reason with her and let her get an understanding of how rude she came across in the moment.
Whitney pointed and shook her head rapidly at you, “Oh, Y/N, fuck off! Just suck George’s cock right here, it would make it less obvious, babes.”
Your mouth dropped open and you heard Milli gasp from across the room, “What the fuck?” You cursed, face screwed up in offence. Whitney just rolled her eyes, “No, Whitney. Tell me. What the fuck is that meant to mean?”
She groaned and walked closer to the pair of you sitting on the sofa together, “Come on, Y/N. You back everything George does, with no personality might I add, and get away with it because everyone thinks you’re shagging outside of this house!”
George sat up and pulled your body closer to his, “Whitney, why have you dragged her into this?” He started, “This was literally between you and me.”
Whitney ignored him and you defended yourself, “I back George because he’s one of the only people in here who hasn’t done anything wrong!” You shrug as if it’s common sense.
Whitney opened her mouth to speak again but George cut in, referring to their previous dispute. “What do you mean ‘run that mean girl thing’? What do you mean by that?” He gestured with a hand that wasn’t gripping tight onto you.
“Everyone said they wanted to vote Dylan out because Dylan didn’t add to the vibe.” She stated her case.
“You can word it better than, ‘Don’t say Mandi’s a Dylan.’” George rolled his eyes, “And you didn’t need to rip into Y/N when she did fuck all wrong.” You shuffled into George’s embrace more as he defended you after Whitney’s outburst.
Whitney pointed at you, “I do apologise to you, Y/N. It was in the moment and I didn’t mean to say stuff like that.” You hummed in response, still offended by her words but wishing to keep your facade to yourself, she didn’t need to know it still hurt you and rather pretended it didn’t happen.
You sighed and stood up from the sofa, “Fucking hell, I’m getting ready for bed.” Some of the group bid you good nights and Milli hopped up to join you. She linked arms with you and whispered into your ear, “That was such a weird thing to say about you.” She gossiped.
As you walked away, you heard George call your name. Stopping in your tracks, you turned around to see him still laying down on the sofa, “I’ll get your drink sorted for the night and get the bed set up, that sound good?”
Your heart fluttered as you remembered you would now be sharing a bed with him for the foreseeable future. Smiling, you said, “Sounds perfect, Georgie.” He smiled back and swiftly stood up with the water bottle you had left behind.
Turning back to Milli, she saw your blushing cheeks and laughed at you. “I better not find a used condom in the morning.” You shoved her with a shocked noise, “Milli!”
time skip!
You had dried off your hair after the evening shower, wrapped up in comfy branded clothes to act as your nightwear. Passing the hairdryer to Cinna, and offering her some of the products you brought in with you to her, you left the room and into the bedrooms.
Walking around the corner, you saw George laid in your shared bed with the duvet pulled up to his chest and the harmonica resting in his hands, playing sweet (you wouldn’t necessarily call it that) melodies.
“What the fuck?” You laughed at the sight of him curled up but refusing to give up the harmonica. Walking towards the bed, you shook your head. “Are you serenading me into bed?”
George nodded quickly and played more sounds on the harmonica as you lifted the duvet and slotted yourself in the bed next to him. You fluff your pillow and lay down, shoulder to shoulder to him due to the minimal space despite the double bed. George titled his head to look at you, “It worked, no?”
Rolling your eyes, you snatched the harmonica out of his hands and placed it in your bedside table, hearing the complaints of George next to you as his hands reached out to reclaim his prized possession. Swatting his hands away, you said “No harmonica’s at bedtime.”
George smirked at you and shuffled himself closer to you, his arms sneaking around your waist. “Little Y/N is jealous of my harmonica,” You laughed and half-heartedly pushed at his arms as he teased you, “Don’t worry, love. You’re the only thing I plan on putting my lips on tonight.”
“Excuse me?” You heard PK shout as he entered the room, catching you and George in an uncomfortable situation as his arms were slung around you, leaning his body weight on you that he was practically on top of you; and the inclusion of his innuendo he had just said out loud to the entire room with entering people.
You gasped and slapped George on the chest, “Oh my God!” You laughed at PK and Milli’s wild facial expressions as they stood frozen at the doorway. Milli pointed at you, “I was only joking about the condom thing!”
Your eyes widened, “Milli!” you said through gritted teeth and gestured subtly with your head at George, who laid there with a smug smile. “What condom thing?” He nudged you with his shoulder. “Nothing!” You quickly shut the conversation down.
Everyone began to settle down and doze off in their beds as the lights dimmed. You laid on your back and stared at the ceiling as George was laid on his side facing you, one of his hands brushing against the side of your waist.
George’s whispered voice broke you out of your daze, “Do you feel like something’s changed between us since being here?”
You turned your head to face him, “What do you mean?”
George took a deep breath and shuffled himself closer to you, “Like… without our friends or anyone interrupting us, do you feel like something’s changed in our friendship or…?” He trailed off.
You turned to lean on your side and came face to face with George, feeling like the only two people in the room despite it being filled with people you didn’t even know a couple days ago. Nodding, you admitted. “Yes.”
Silence engulfed the room for a moment as the pair of you stared at each other, trying to find the line you were teetering on which could determine your friendship; or lack thereof.
“I like this. Just us.” George whispered, flickering his eyes between your gaze and your lips.
You nodded, “I don’t wanna leave this place.” George swallowed and let you finish, “Because I’m scared of what will happen to us outside of here.”
Your admission stayed in the air for a moment, George’s eyes softening at you. He bit his lip in nervousness and tucked a stray hair behind your ear. “When we leave this place… I don’t wanna be your friend.” He started.
“I think being your friend would kill me because I want to be so much more than that.” His hand cupped your cheek.
Your heart was beating out of your chest as you smiled softly at him. You lifted your hand to rest it on top of the one that was holding your face, twisting your head to press a kiss onto his palm.
He smiled at you with pink dusted cheeks, rubbing your cheek with his thumb. You stared at each other for a while before slowly nodding at each other; a mental communication that the feeling was mutual and that you’d see what endevours this house would take you to.
George turned to lean on his back, pulling you with him as he positioned your head against his chest, a strong arm wrapped around your back. You cuddled into his figure, entangling your legs with his as your smile grew wider at the new feeling; one you wished you had been doing this entire time.
George leaned down and pressed a kiss to your forehead, “Goodnight, beautiful.” He whispered. Your heart fluttered at the action and you fell asleep to the sound of his heart beating against your ear, and the soft brush of his thumb on the skin of your back.
time skip!
After waking up in George’s arms, he had refused to let you go or out of his sight, mind foggy with a lavender haze. Neither of you had forgotten your chat last night, and to everyone’s displeasure, had become all the more attached to each other as you basked in your mutual feelings.
George had you sit upright on the couch with him sitting on the floor and between your legs, your hands running through his hair every now and then as he requested a massage from you.
Your hands knead into his shoulders, with the occasional leaning down to whisper some joke into his ear, causing him to laugh and tilt his head back into you. His hands were settled on your thighs and drew patterns into the material that covered you.
“Can the girls please go to Room 19.”
You groaned and looked over at Milli who had stood up and had her hand outstretched to help you up. “Come on, Y/N. You can leave your boyfriend for one minute.”
You mocked a laugh and stood up off the couch. As you rose, George held your hand and pressed a soft kiss against the back of it, wishing you good luck as you departed the room. Cinna nudged you as the group of girls left, “What are the odds that George is already complaining to the boys about how much he misses you?” Milli, who was standing on the other side of you, laughed and high-fived the American.
Entering Room 19, you sat shoulder to shoulder with Milli and Farah was perched on the arm of the chair, leaning on you slightly in case of falling off the sofa.
“Girls… It's challenge time. Please go to the Challenge Arena.” You all froze and waited for further instructions but received none. “What, just the girls?” Whitney asked on behalf of all of you. “Yes.” The voice confirmed.
“Fuck off.” Milli said, looking around at all the girls. “Yeah, I heard you loud and clear.” Whitney finished as you all headed towards the Challenge Arena.
You walked in to be greeted with six chairs in a circle, Josh and Harry standing behind them with wicked smiles etched across their faces. “What is this?” Mya asked, all of you standing in a line with arms linked.
Sitting in your seat, Josh demanded, “Everyone put their blindfolds on.” You did as requested and slowly placed the headphones on, not before you caught a glare from Whitney.
You let the music fill the silence as you sit with your leg bouncing up and down from nerves. You just had to hope that no one would pick you because you were far from ready to leave just yet.
Feeling a tap on your shoulder, you took the blindfold and headphones off and immediately looked at your glow stick as it remained a neutral white colour. You let out a sigh of relief and peered over to see that Mya had been the one selected for elimination. “Who the fuck? No, don’t piss me off.” Farah exclaimed.
“Knew it was gonna be me first.” She sighed, you felt for her as whoever had picked her, had put her in a really uncomfortable situation. “It’s now your time to try and work out who voted for you.” Josh said.
Mya went through everyone and asked why they would vote for her. Reaching you, the statement held its own, “I wouldn’t pick you, Mya. I feel like recently we’ve bonded and I don’t wanna see you go.” Mya nodded at you with a smile, making you feel somewhat calmer in this awkward circumstance.
Mya pointed at Milli, “Milli. But now I’m second guessing.” You winced for Milli, feeling awful as you saw her betrayed face and her shaking head. You wanted to reach out and offer a hand for her, but you realised this would be breaking the rules and put you in an easy position to be voted out.
“Mya, you have guessed… incorrectly.” Josh confirmed. You all sighed as she was guided to the elimination bench per Josh’s request.
Putting your blindfold and headphones back on, you awaited the next round. Understanding that you clearly hadn’t been picked to eliminate someone, you bit your lip and awaited your fate.
A tap on your shoulder caused you to take your blindfold off, instinctively looking over to your glow stick. This time it was beaming a deep red colour.
Your heart dropped as you muttered curses under your breath. You heard Milli and Cinna gasp in the circle, and Farah’s hands covered her mouth in shock. Rolling your head back, you rubbed your eyes and groaned.
Josh and Harry watched on awkwardly, a sick feeling in their stomach as they watched your fate in the hands of others, wishing they could pretend that round never happened.
Harry cleared his throat, “Y/N, as you can see, your light is red.” You nodded and hummed. “Who do you think has betrayed you?”
You pointed at Milli, “I know it wouldn’t be you.” She smiled gratefully at you, especially after the last round. You squint your eyes at Cinna, “I’m like 90% sure you wouldn’t pick me.”
Peering over at Farah, you were about to make a point before she interrupted you. “Y/N, I would never pick you. You know how I’m like your biggest fan and I don’t wanna ruin your George love story; so please trust me, I didn’t pick you.”
You chuckled as Harry and Josh laughed with each other. Trusting Farah’s words, you moved on to the next. “That only leaves one person, Y/N.” Josh said as you stared at Whitney.
Whitney sat there with her head shaking. “Fuck.” You mumbled. “I’m gonna go with Whitney just because I feel like I’m the least close with you here.” “You’re wrong.” She stated.
You winced as she kept the mantra that you were wrong. Josh interrupted her spat and asked you, “Y/N, is that your final answer?” You nodded, “Yes. I’ll lock in Whitney.”
You sighed as you realised you couldn’t take back your answer, peering over at the elimination bench and willing that you wouldn’t have to sit there.
Harry spoke up, “We can confirm that you were… correct.”
Your eyes widened as everyone snapped their heads over to Whitney’s direction. Mya, who was sitting on the bench, smiled over at you and sent you a wink of encouragement.
“This means, Y/N. That you are safe and may continue through to the next round.” Josh said with a smile. “Fucking hell.” You mumbled, hands rubbing on your face as you tried to wear away the stress.
During the final round, you again, were not selected to vote anyone out. You sat patiently and begged that you wouldn’t be chosen again just for the sake of your sanity. Stripping your blindfold off, you saw Farah had been selected.
After picking Milli again, and shaking your head at her hurt facial expressions with the way they were painting her in the house, Farah discovered she was incorrect and the panel of eliminated contestants had been filled.
“Congratulations Cinna, Whitney, Milli and Y/N. You have survived Lights Out and you are the final four remaining. You must now choose one player that you want to eliminate.”
Everyone gasped and rolled their eyes in horror, the power being in your hands.
Cinna started, “I’m trying to think of who I think needs it more and who wants it more and who, if I was at the end and they were there, I would be like “They need the money, and they deserve it.” You all nodded along as she continued her argument.
You tilted your head to see Farah holding back tears and clinging onto Mya who bounced her leg up and down. You felt awful for the girls, especially since you could have easily been in that situation but luckily guessed right.
Milli spoke up, “And I feel like this would change Farah’s life massively.” Cinna nodded, “I mean, one of them was wearing Van Cleef.” You snorted a laugh, realising this was not the time for jokes or chuckles, catching a shake of Mya’s head in the distance.
“We need an answer from all of you, please.” Josh said with certainty, looking over all of you.
Cinna started, “I’m picking Mya because I really wanna see Farah win.” You could see her try and play it off in the background, but the hurt was evident. Whitney was next, “I’ve just bonded with Mya. I couldn’t do that. I’m gonna pick Farah.” You nodded at her explanation, avoiding eye contact as your mind continuously reminded you of her voting you out; and the digs she made at you the day before.
After an explanation, Milli said, “So that’s why I’m picking Mya.” You winced, assuming it was over. There was a silence as you all looked at each other, most of the eyes falling onto you.
Cinna pointed at you, “Wait, what’s gonna happen because we already have a deciding vote?” You furrowed your brows and agreed. Harry looked down at you, “Y/N…” He started.
“Oh God.” You whispered, hands shaking as you dreaded what he was about to say.
“Because you guessed correctly, you are the deciding vote. Whoever you choose, they will be eliminated from Inside.” Your eyes widened. “If you choose to vote Mya, she will leave the house due to majority votes, but if you pick Farah, she will leave the house due to your superior vote as you won this challenge.”
Your mouth dropped open as you hid your face from everyone, them all looking at you with immense sympathy as this was single handedly the worst position you’ve ever been in.
“Fuck me.” You groaned. Harry looked around the room and leaned in close to your ear, “You realise George isn’t here, right?”
You threw your arms up in shock as everyone let out shocked laughter, turning to him, you exclaimed, “Not the time!” He laughed and moved back to his original position, Josh fist bumping him in approval of the joke.
You sighed, “This is fucking awful. But, I think I’ve made my decision.” Everyone leaned forward in their chairs to listen intently to you.
“I’m going off who contributes more, who is less likely to cost us money in challenges and who I believe is in a better position to win this entire thing.” Everyone nodded along, “You both know that I love you, and this is such a weird and horrendous situation, and please know that I wish I had a choice to keep you both here.” They smiled at you, making a mental promise that they wouldn’t curse you out for making this decision.
“So with that, I’ve decided to pick… Mya.” You cringed, looking over at her sad face.
“Okay, Mya. Unfortunately, you have been eliminated.” Harry said, “However, unlike before, you’ll not be going home immediately. So, you’re all free to go back inside.”
You stood up feeling guilty as Mya hung her head low. Milli wrapped you in a hug, pulling you out the room before you got overwhelmed and began crying. You knew it was coming, but you didn’t want the crew or Josh and Harry to see you cry.
Milli hid your face from the crew, whispering, “It’s alright, it’s alright.” You entered the bedrooms and sat on your double bed, knees clutched into your chest and your head resting on your knees.
Milli sat next to you and brushed your knee, “Do you want me to get George?” She whispered. The nod of your head a good enough answer for her as she jogged out the room, still holding a close eye on you.
You sat there still, rethinking and reimagining everything that had just happened. Not only had at least two people been willing to vote you out, someone had actively gone for you and ripped into your personality, but you had also been one guess away from packing your bags and departing from this house; leaving everyone behind, all your new friends, your new place, your new normal. Your George.
Milli walked slowly back into the room, “He’s not here.” Your head shot up and your mind instantly skipped to the worse scenario; one in which he had been voted out. Seeing your horror stricken face, Milli reassured you, “All the boys are gone, I think they’re doing the challenge we just did.”
Your body visibly relaxed causing you to fall back onto the bed and stare aimlessly at the ceiling. Your mind raced with endless dreads and doubts, “What if George is voted out?” You whispered.
Hearing this, Milli copied your position on the bed and laid next to you, “What did you say?” She asked.
“What if George leaves today, like that’s the last time I’ve seen him in the house?” Your voice broke as your cheeks were stained with previously shed tears. “Y/N, he wouldn’t have been voted out, I’m sure of it.” Milli tried to reassure you.
You bit your lip, “But it’s not definite.” Milli watched you holding back more tears, unsure of how to comfort you fully as the power was far from in her hands. All you had to do was trust the other guys in this house, but they had no obligation to keep him in.
A long silence filled the room for a moment, the other girls debriefing elsewhere and leaving you and Milli with some privacy, well the most they could provide in this new house.
“He was never just a friend to you, was he?” Milli looked over at you with a sympathetic smile etched across her face. You swallowed and held eye contact with her before nodding slowly and looking back at the ceiling.
You sighed and covered your face with your hands, “It’s literally stupid--” “Y/N, your feelings are never stupid.” Milli cuts you off, not allowing you to tear yourself and your love life down.
Milli continued, “Y/N, George is so down bad for you.” She laughed lightly, “Hell, you two were each other's first kiss, you haven’t been able to keep your hands off each other the whole time we’ve been in here, and everyone with eyes can see that.” She nudged you which caused a smile to slowly creep on your face.
“Friends don’t look at each other the way you and George do.” She said, grinning at you as heat spread across your cheeks and you fiddled with your hands.
“He said something to me last night.” You mumbled, seeing her lean forward to catch the gossip. She scrunched up her face slightly, “Oh, God. Don’t talk to me about George and your’s sex life!”
“Milli! No!” You gasped, sitting up and swatting her in the shoulder as she laughed loudly. “It’s not that! It was something about what we’d be like outside of this place.” You smiled seeing her eyes widen and she immediately shot up, “Tell me now.”
You licked your lips, “He was like ‘When we leave, I don’t wanna be your friend.’” “What the fuck--” She gasped. “Milli, let me finish!”
“He then said, ‘I think being your friend would kill me because I want to be so much more than that.’” You said with a smile and suppressed a laugh as Milli’s mouth dropped open and her hands gripped yours.
You both sat in silence for a couple seconds before the two of you broke out into screams and squeals, your cheeks red and her laughter echoing the room. “Fuck off! No fucking way he said that!” You nodded wildy, “Y/N, that’s fucking insane!” You laughed at Milli’s excited response.
She grabbed both your shoulders and shook you, “I give you and George full permission to shag tonight because--” “Milli!” You shouted, pushing her away with furious pink cheeks. She giggled and sprinted towards the bedside table, pulling out the packet of condoms, “The Sidemen have literally planned ahead so they know it’s coming too!”
You groaned and threw the duvet over your head in embarrassment, “Oh, my God. I can’t believe my friends and family are gonna see this.” Milli yanked the duvet off your head and yanked you up the talk to the other girls, not without constantly reminding you of George’s late night whispering as she tried to replicate his voice.
time skip!
Hearing the boys walk back in, you leaped to your feet in an instant and called out, “Who?” The other girls followed suit, and Farah gripped your hand in comfort as both of you dreaded George’s fate.
“It was me.” Patrice said, raising both of his hands. You felt sorry for him obviously, but your priorities were elsewhere.
“Oh, fucking hell.” You muttered as you sprinted over to George, his eyes finding you immediately and taking long strides towards you.
You saw him sigh in relief, “Thank fuck.” He mumered and crashed into your body with intensity, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you into a desperate hug. Your arms tightened around his shoulders and tangled into his mullet, head nuzzled into his neck and pressing feather light kisses onto the exposed skin. George lifted you up in the hug which caused you to wrap your legs around his waist, his strong grip never faltering as the pair of you muttered reassuring words to each other.
Cinna started to walk over to you to comfort you as she missed out on doing earlier. Just as she was about to tap your shoulder, Milli stopped her and whispered, “Just leave them.” Cinna nodded in understanding and smiled as George relaxed in your hold and the tears that stained your cheeks had dried off onto his hoodie.
“I thought it was gonna be you.” You heard George whisper, pulling back but still held up by him, you muttered, “It nearly was.”
His face dropped, “What?” You unwrapped your legs from his waist, still clinging to his hoodie, “Let’s go talk.” He obeyed without a second thought, leaving everyone in the main area to have some privacy.
Pulling him into the gym, you shut the door behind you to keep the moment between yourselves. George’s hand slipped into yours and he pulled you close, “What happened?”
You swallowed and held eye contact, “I was picked to be eliminated.” George’s eyes widened and his grip tightened. “But I guessed right.”
“Who the fuck was it?” He said, eyes darting across your face and out the window where he could still see everyone.
You shook your head and looked down, “No, no, no.” His hands cupped the sides of your faces and tilted your head up so you remained looking at him, his thumb brushing across your pink tinted cheeks. “Just tell me.” He whispered.
You sighed, “It was Whitney.” George’s jaw clenched and he made a move to leave the room and confront her, but you yanked him back with a tight grip on his wrist. “No, please. I don’t wanna cause more drama than there already is.”
George turned to see your eyes filling with unshed tears, his heart dropping as a frown slowly crept onto your face. “Please don’t cry, beautiful.” He whispered, pulling you back into a hug and a hand rubbing up and down your back.
“Why do people want me out?” Your voice broke. You shook your head in George’s chest, feeling horrible as this was not the first time people had been willing to see your departure. “I don’t know, baby. I don’t know.” George sighed and twirled your hair in his hands.
Pulling back from his chest, your lip trembled. “Why the fuck is it always me?” He brushed stray hairs behind your ear and crouched down slightly to be at the same level as you.
“Y/N, I’m not gonna let this happen to you. They just see you as a threat and not a real person, they don’t understand that what they’re doing to you is hurting you right now.” You nodded at his words, “If I’m honest… I don’t know what I’ll do if you leave this house.”
His face inched closer to yours, feeling his breath against your face. His words resonated with you and caused you to lean in closer to him. Your nose brushed his, George’s head tilted to the side and his hands tangled in your hair, pulling you closer to him.
Just as your lips were about to brush, the gym door swung open. “Hey, we’re saying our goodbyes to Mya and Patrice now. You coming?”
You snapped your faces away from each other, hands falling off each other’s figure and standing awkwardly at the other side of the room. DDG put his hands in the air, “Look if you wanna do all that; I wouldn’t do it where a camera can see the whole room.” He shrugged and left with a laugh as you and George were both blushing furiously.
Biting your lip, you looked over at him as he stared at the floor. “Let’s go?” You said quietly. He nodded and opened the door for you, following behind you a comfortable few steps away.
time skip!
Just after you had bidded farewell to Mya and Patrice, you laid on the couch with your legs propped up on George’s lap. His hand rested on your shin and he nudged you, “Hey, are we gonna talk about… you know, later?” You licked your lips and fiddled with your fingers. “Yeah, we’ll talk about it.” George smiled at you, one in which you reciprocated.
“George, please come to Room 19.” The loud speaker requested. George’s eyes flickered between the group, “A large phallus.” You laughed at him and shook your head at his antics, watching as he left the room.
Soon after George was called, you were too and entered the familiar room. The chair had two pictures on them, both facing downwards so the contains were hidden.
Flicking the pictures up, it showed one of Patrice and one of Mya. “You have the opportunity to save one of them from elimination. Please hold up the photo of the Insider you would like to save.”
You rolled your eyes, “Fucking hell, give me a break.” Your eyes flicked between the two pictures, shaking your head as you found someone’s fate lying in your hands once again.
“I can’t screw Mya over twice…” You muttered. “I’m the one who got her eliminated and I’m not doing that shit again.” You decided your answer pretty quickly, choosing not to dwell on the options for too long and feel the immense guilt you felt earlier; it felt like ripping a bandaid off, quick and painless.
Holding up a picture of Mya, you turned it to face the camera. “I’m saving Mya because I feel like I’ll throw up if she actually left because of my lucky guess.”
Just as you left Room 19, you realised that you were the last one in there. Turning the corner, you crashed straight into Mya.
You gasped and flung your arms around her, “Oh, my God! I’m so sorry I voted you out, I didn’t mean it--” “Stop, babe! I’m back, it’s all good!” She smiled and the pair of you jumped around in circles in excitement, the squeals clearly catching the attention of the other Insiders.
As they reunited, you drifted towards George and pulled him into a side hug. He pressed a kiss onto the side of your head and the pair of you fell into usual sync.
time skip!
“I’m sorry.” Jason apologised profusely for giving into the temptation; this being an opportunity to play in the Sidemen Charity Match. You sat on the stool and watched George throw darts at the dart board.
“George, you’re playing in that, right?” You asked. He turned around and nodded, “You bet your sweet ass I am.” You laughed and shook your head.
“You would look sexy in a football kit.” You muttered, hoping he wouldn’t hear as you verbalised your internal thoughts.
His head whipped around, “What did you say, Y/N?”
Your eyes widened, “Nothing! Nothing!” He squinted his eyes suspiciously, wondering whether or not to pester you but decided to let you off for once.
The price noise saved you from exposing your words, but watching the prize fund dropping significantly didn’t help your case. “That’s not bad.” Milli said, trying to reassure and gaslight you all into thinking you weren’t reckless spenders.
Later, you fell onto the double bed and hugged the pillow tight to your chest, “What a day.” You grumbled. George fell next to you and toyed with the ends of the pillow case, “Yeah… What a day.”
You stared at each other for a moment. George broke the silence, “So… Did you wanna talk about earlier?” He sounded nervous and his lip was trapped between his teeth.
You nodded slowly, “Yeah…” You wound your hand into his, making the first move. Building up the courage, you said. “I wouldn’t have regretted it if we hadn’t gotten interrupted.”
George’s eyes widened and a smile stretched across his face, “Me neither.” He shuffled his body closer to yours in the bed, “I kind of regret that we didn’t do it.”
Your heart fluttered in your chest, feeling this close to him and his admission that he wishes he kissed you. Your body tilted to fit into his, leaning into his lips just before the world (or the Sidemen) decided to ruin the moment, again.
“Please head to the Challenge Arena!” You heard Farah shout from the living room, reading out the message presented on the television.
“Oh, you’re fucking kidding me--” George groaned loudly, throwing his head back onto the pillow and slapping his hands to his forehead. You laughed at him and reciprocated the same frustration, “Come on, Georgie.”
Your hand hoisted him up and he wrapped his arms around you from behind, waddling behind you as you strode towards the Challenge Arena. His tired face was nuzzled in your neck, “I swear if we get interrupted one more time.” His breath tickled your neck, chuckling at him and putting your hand back to tangle in his hair. “Patient, George. Patient.”

“PK, we’ll start with you. Please make your way down to Room 19.” Vik ordered as you all sat in your previous seats.
You turned to Milli, “This can’t be happening right now…” You whispered, watching her face blank and attention directed to the floor as she chewed on her lip. She feared the worst after being awarded the winner of the talent show, a target placed on her back at the worst time possible.
You reached your hand out to hold hers in comfort as George had his arm slung over your shoulder, leaning into his chest as your knee bounced up and down in nervousness. George pressed a soft kiss against your head, “You’re alright.” He murmured against your temple.
Once you were called over to vote someone to be eliminated, you sighed and stood up from your seat, glancing over at George and Milli one more time, shooting them a sweet smile.
Entering Room 19, you settled yourself down on the comfy sofa and crossed your legs, fiddling with your fingers as you debated your answer. “You guys are such dicks, you know that.” You pointed at the camera for starters.
“I’m going with this person because I feel like their alliance is strong and if you really want to win this game, you have to break them up… as mean as that sounds.” You cringed at your words.
“Also, I’m convinced this person will most likely vote for me so I’ve gotta back my chances of not getting voted out. So with that, I’m voting for Whitney.” You nodded awkwardly at the camera.
The crew inside Room 19 told you it was a good enough answer and requested you return to the living room. In doing so, you trudged back with a sigh and a sick feeling swirling in your stomach.
It was pretty obvious from previous encounters that people in the house were out to get you, so your chances of being voted out in this scenario were quite high, as much as you didn’t want to admit it. You knew you had people who wouldn’t vote for you, but the alliances were stacked against you.
You entered the room and fell back into your previous position, George greeted you with a soft smile that didn’t reach his eyes, but his arms were out for you to settle in.
“All right, guys. I don’t wanna be doing this.” Vik started, his hands clasped in front of him as he rocked on his feet next to Specs. “We had a lot of fun. I genuinely actually really enjoyed hosting that talent show, but the person eliminated from Inside today is…”
Your legs shook in nervousness and Milli’s head leant itself in your shoulder, neither of you feeling safe in this case. George’s hand intertwined with yours and stared at your side profile, you looking forward with your eyes trained on Vik, mentally begging him not to call your name out.
“Y/N.” Vik announced.
A couple people gasped and Milli’s jaw dropped next to you, her face painted with guilt and sorrow. George’s hand squeezed yours and you felt his tense up next to you, his eyes closed shut and lip caught between his teeth. You could hear him muttering beside you, “No, no, no.” His cheeks were flushed and he ran his hands through his hair as the consequence of his actions crept up on him.
“And Milli.” Vik announced.
Everyone’s head snapped towards the two who stood up, jaws dropping as Milli’s face paled. “What?” Her voice shook.
“Only one of you will be eliminated.” You threw your head in your hands as you felt the overwhelming pressure and sickening feeling settle in your stomach. Milli shook her head, “No. I’m not…” She peered over at you. “I’ll go.” She gripped your hand.
“Unfortunately, Milli. You can’t decide that… a game of rock-paper-scissors will decide your fate.” Vik reluctantly said, looking at the pair of you distraught on the sofa.
“Fuck.” You heard George curse next to you, his grip not loosening as you sat up and faced your new best friend in here, realising that in this moment, you could lose one of the people you were closest to in here.
You swallowed and looked at Milli who shook her head with a frown etched across her face. You both shared a look of agreement, that neither of you would be mad at the other if you were to go, and that the first thing you would do as soon as you leave this place is contact each other (and tell the other all the gossip they missed, but that was irrelevant right now).
Both of you held your fists out and counted to three, before you held out a scissor motion with your hand. Your heart dropped as you looked down at Milli’s which was held out in a paper motion.
“Oh my God.” You mumbled and left George’s grip, lunging yourself into a tight hug with Milli, her arms wrapping around you. Milli smiled and shook her head, “Y/N, it’s fine. I’m glad I got out because of you.”
You couldn’t help but feel immense guilt, not that it was your fault in any way, it was pure luck. Milli pulled away from the hug and placed her hands on your shoulders,
“You’re gonna win it, girlie.” She whispered and winked at you, voice low enough so no one else could hear as they all stood up to bid their farewells to Milli.
“Milli, you have ten minutes to collect your things and leave the house. You are eliminated from Inside.” Vik looked down at the floor.
Milli looked behind you and nodded for you to turn around, and in doing so, you made eye contact with George who was now stood up. You looked back at Milli who smiled at you, mentally telling you to seek him out.
You walked over to George with your head hung low, feeling his fingers brush your forearms. “You okay?” He whispered and ducked his head down to try and read your face. He understood from the shake of your head that you weren’t doing alright, and quickly pulled you into a tight hug, his hand placed on the back of your head and hid your face from the rest of the group.
His other hand rubbed up and down your back, guiding the pair of you to follow the group as Milli packed up her things. George brushed a stray hair away from your face and tucked it behind your ear, “Come on, let’s go say goodbye to Milli.” He said as his thumb lingered on your cheek.
Your heart sunk further into your stomach as Milli edged closer to the door, the constant reminder that it was partially your fault, or it could have been you with your suitcases in this moment was in the back of your mind.
“Hey, George, close the door.” Jason laughed as Milli waved from the otherside of the doorway. Milli jokingly shouted, “No!”
George leaned for the handle, “Stay out!” He laughed as he shut the door. As everyone made their way back into the living room, you peered into the glass window of the door and gave Milli one final wave goodbye, her reciprocating it and blowing you a kiss as the elevator doors closed on her.
As you walked back to the group, Cinna slung an arm around your shoulder, “You alright?” You looked at her and nodded slowly, “I will be.” She smiled at you.
“We’re so doing streams together once we’re out of here.” She nudged you with a wide grin on her face. You matched her expression, “Fuck yeah we are.” Cinna clapped and skipped back to the living room, pulling you behind her as your laughter could be heard around the house.
time skip!
You and George sat on the sofa with your feast settled on the cushions next to the pair of you, your back against his chest and his fingers rubbing circles into your skin that was snuck underneath the hem of your shirt.
You felt and heard him laugh behind you, his chest vibrating against you. Tilting your head back, you smiled at him, “What are you laughing at?” You poked at him.
George shook his head, “Nothing.” He shrugged. Not accepting that as a good enough answer, you sat up and turned to face him. “Well, obviously it’s something.” You shuffled towards him.
You watched him sigh and he intertwined his hand with yours. “It’s just funny…” He started but his voice trailed off. “What is?” You asked.
“Us.” He licked his lips. He took your furrowed brows as a sign to carry on, “It’s just ridiculous how we’ve been friends for ages and all it took was us being forced to live together for 5 days that I grew the balls to actually kiss you.”
Your cheeks grew red as you laughed at him, “If that’s how you wanna put it.” You shoved him in the shoulder lightly with your free hand. “It’s true though!” He defended his statement.
Your laughter quietened down and you stared at each other for a moment, “I can’t wait til we get out of here.” He whispered and edged closer to you. You leaned into him slightly, “Why’s that?” A smile crept up on your face.
“Because then we can act like a couple without cameras watching everything we do.” George said as his fingers toyed with yours. You raised a brow, “A couple?” He nodded with a soft smile etched on his face, “I’ll make it offical once we get outta here, don’t you worry about that, darling.” He ran a hand through his hand and grinned as your cheeks grew a shade of red.
“And I can do this without anyone interrupting us.” He leaned in and pressed his lips against yours, a hand finding its way to hold the back of your head and bring your face closer to his.
You smiled into the kiss and rested your hands on his chest, the fabric of his shirt bunched in your fist slightly as George deepened the kiss.
His other hand left yours and settled on your hip, squeezing it lightly as the sweet kiss continued.
George leaned into you which made you push him back with a laugh, “Not in the feast!” He looked around and saw the pizza resting on the cushion and nodded in acceptance.
You were lucky that George had pulled away from the kiss as Cinna walked into the room, the remaining Insiders trailing behind her as she waved everyone in, “Attention! Everyone!” She shouted, holding an envelope.
You and George got up and stood around the table with everyone else, “It says, ‘Congratulations Cinna. You’ve successfully completed your mission. You may reveal your mission to the group.’” Cinna read out loud.
“Guys, holy fuck! Today has been shitty.” Cinna flung her head back. You looked to your side to see George munching away on the pizza, barely recognising that Cinna was announcing something. You slapped his bicep with the back of your hand and nodded for him to listen in on Cinna; him responding with a grumbled confusion with his mouth full of food. You shook your head and balanced on your tip-toes to mutter to him, “Just listen and stop making out with the food.”
George coughed a laugh and covered his mouth as it was still stuffed. He swallowed and nudged his foot with yours, “Jealous, babe?”
You furrowed your brows, “Babe?” Your eyes crinkled as you chuckled, “That’s a new one.” You teased the nickname.
George just shrugged his shoulders, “Just trying something out.” Cinna sighed with exaggeration, “Lovebirds! Listen in!”
“Anyways, we have a challenge, and the challenge was on me the entire day.” Cinna started. “The challenge was for me to lie and say that I was a traitor for the Sidemen in order to convince all of you that you had to do something, or that you had to keep that secret. You could not tell the other person. Y/N, I’m surprised you didn’t tell George if I’m honest!” She pointed at you from across the table.
You smile sheepishly, “I nearly did,” You gestured with your fingers, “If you hadn’t said today, George would have known by the time we were in bed.” George raised his brows and slung an arm around your shoulder.
Cinna faked a gasp, “You were gonna rat me out to your boyfriend?” George only clicked his fingers, “Fuck yeah she was.” He stuck his tongue out at the American across the table as you waved your hands for Cinna to continue.
“And all day, I’ve been working on this shit so we can save money, and you guys spent £50K on this fucking feast so…” She trailed off. You looked up at George who slowly put the piece of pizza down, “Your greed sickens me.” You whispered to him.
George ignored you and clapped his hands together for Cinna and cheered, everyone else following suit.

You and George were led in bed, his arm draped around you as you were fast asleep on your back. George was sitting upright slightly talking to Cinna, you being completely unaware of the conversation going on.
“I’m fully fucking regretting my decision.” George admitted and ran a hand through his hair. “As soon as I… I mean, I regretted it as soon as I came around the corner.” George made an effort not to move so much, not willing to risk you waking up and listening in.
Cinna nodded, “Yeah, I got scared that they were gonna go over who voted for who. And if it was you and you didn’t get voted out, it means that’s why Milli went home.”
George inhaled sharply, “Yeah…” Cinna continued, “Which is what it could have been. I was like, ‘Holy fuck.’”
“That’s why I kept second guessing everything.” George mumbled, his eyes drifting to you asleep in his arms.
Cinna nodded towards your frame, “Are you gonna tell her that you’re feeling like this?” George shook his head, “No, Cinna. I fucked up today.”
The American tilted her head, “What do you mean?” George stared at you, your relaxed features and hair sprawled out on the pillow, looking beautiful in the shirt that belonged to him.
He sighed and closed his eyes, “No… it’s nothing. Tomorrow is gonna be a whole different day.”

“Rise and shine!” JJ’s voice echoed around the bedroom, causing you to groan and bury your head into George’s bare shoulder.
Your hands drifted to his back and lightly scratched the skin, “God, I’m never going to get used to that.” You complained about the shrill voice of your dear friend, feeling the urge to shout at him once you leave this house for waking you up in the most painful ways possible.
George sighed as you scratched his skin, “Don’t think the late night helped us, Y/N.” You felt him smirk against your temple.
You flicked his arm and sat up with the duvet pulled against your chest, “We are not talking about that on television, George.” You mocked him saying your name just as he had done before.
George looked at you as he rolled to lay on his back, “Didn’t object when the shower was cold though--” “George!” You gasped, ushering him to quieten his voice down in the room full of people; not wishing for them to hear the
late night rendezvous you got up to with George.
He laughed at you and reached for his cap that sat on the floor, placing the item backwards on your head. George patted the hat that sat on top of your bed hair, “Getting all shy the morning after?” He teased you.
You rolled your eyes and flicked the cap off your head, placing it on George, “You should wear this more often,” You stared at his rugged handsomeness as his mullet poked out the back of the cap, “It suits you.”
George smirked and ran a hand through the hair that was poking out, “Got a crush on me, Y/N?” He laughed. You only sighed and tried to suppress a smile, muttering that you needed to get ready for the day as you left the bed and strolled to the girls sitting at the table.

You were led on the sofa, legs propped up on Cinna’s lap as you were curled into the corner of the sofa. You were in a deep chat with Cinna, discussing the night before and what’s left to come, muttering how you missed Milli. “She’s so gonna make fun of me once she sees what I’ve been doing without her.” You laughed.
Cinna smiled at you, “I can’t wait for the edits to appear on my for you page, especially the ship ones!” She winked at George who was sitting next to you but engaged in a different conversation. You grinned, “There better be ones of me to Taylor Swift songs.”
“Don’t worry, Chris will be on that.” George poked in the conversation, mentioning how his blonde friend back at home was a fan of the artist, hence why you and him went to the Eras Tour together.
Everyone in the room groaned as Tobi rounded the corner, “Hi, Insiders. How are we feeling?” He waved at all of you. You all murmured in response.
“Nervous?” Tobi tilted his head, “Do you guys know how to feel when you see me?” Shaking your head, Tobi smiled at you and continued.
“Insiders, one by one… you’ll be sent down to Room 19, where you will receive further instructions. While you are in this room, there must be zero communication amongst yourselves. If I see anyone break that, £20,000 will instantly be deducted from the prize fund. The first Insider to go down to Room 19 will be Mr. PK Humble.” Tobi said.
The room was suffocated with silence, dread swarming in the pit of your stomach, mentally praying it wouldn’t be the same situation as yesterday; you couldn’t go through all that again.
Once your name was called, you trugged over to Room 19 and sat in the familiar seat, stomach twisting with nerves. You were told the rules, vote for someone you want to eliminate and vote for someone you wish to gain immunity, but they were at risk of elimination.
You groaned, “Oh God, this is tough…” You bit your lip and shook your head, “I would vote George for immunity but I can’t take that risk, I can’t have him up for elimination.” You confessed to the cameras.
Your fingers wound together, “This is gonna sound so horrible.” You tilted your head back to hide the expression your face read, “But I’m going to vote for Whitney again. I’m convinced she doesn’t like me so I’ve gotta protect myself… I don’t know!” You gestured and laughed with nerves.
“And the other person I want to vote for is Mya.” You nodded, “Because I like to think she doesn’t hate me and we’ve bonded since the start, so I would like her to get immunity… and no one else will vote for her so I know she’ll be safe!” You smiled at the camera, pleased with your answer.
As you entered the living room once more, George winked at you as you walked back to your seat. Tobi pointed a finger at you, “Hey! No communicating!” Your eyes widened and looked between him and George, “We didn’t say anything!” You protested.
Tobi squinted his eyes and flickered his gaze between you two, “Fine… consider this a formal warning.” You sighed gratefully and fell back into your seat, legs placed back on Cinna’s lap.
“Insiders, you were each asked to vote for two people. I can now confirm that the most votes were received by… George.”
Your heart dropped into your stomach and your head snapped to face him, seeing him nod slowly in acceptance. You shook your head and your brows furrowed to try and hold back tears, the realisation that it was all over for you and George hitting you so suddenly, “I’m not--”
“And Farah.” Tobi finished.
You swallowed and your heart sank further as you remembered what you had to do yesterday against your best friend. “Meaning you’ve put us in that position again.” Tobi looked down.
George sighed and slowly inched his hand into yours underneath the cushion, fingers intertwining and squeezing your hand, worried he’ll have to let go soon. “Fuck.” He muttered.
“As we learnt yesterday, the person going home will be decided by a game of rock-paper-scissors.” Tobi repeated.
George glanced over at you, seeing you were already looking at him with a solem facial expression. He tilted his head and bit his lip to stop a frown sneaking its way on his face, “Y/N, please don’t.” He mumbled seeing your eyes flood with tears threatening to spill, hand cupping your face, “Don’t worry about me.” You shook your head, not trusting your words.
George leaned in and pressed a kiss to the side of your head as he was asked to stand up at the front, looking over at you one more time, “I’m fine.” He mouthed, but you could read his disappointed face he was trying to hide from everyone else, but you knew him too well.
You breathed out heavily, head resting on Cinna’s shoulder and she slung a comforting arm around your shoulder. Everyone stared as George and Farah nodded at each other, hands held out ready to play.
As soon as Tobi said, “Shoot.” Your eyes were trained on George’s hand, watching it form a fist; quickly switching over to see Farah’s in the form of scissors. You sighed and tilted your head back, listening to everyone else gasp in the room.
“Farah, you have been eliminated.” George immediately pulled her into a hug, obviously feeling at fault for her elimination, similar to how you felt the night before.
You walked over to Farah first, embracing her and flattening out the hair that had tangled on the back of her head, “I’m gonna miss you.” You reassured her, Farah’s smile filled with tears the only response she gave you, too overwhelmed to formulate a proper response, one in which you respected.
Watching Farah leave the room with everyone else, you looked behind you and saw George standing awkwardly to the side with his hands bunched in his jogger pockets.
You swallowed, “Don’t scare me like that.” You told him, breathing out as you felt tears well in your eyes as everything became all too overstimulating at the moment. Within less than 12 hours, you and George were one vote away from your bags void of this room and bed’s empty as if you were never even there.
George wrapped his arms around your waist, swaying the pair of you back and forth. You were still shaken about how you and George had nearly been sent home, and the fact that you had lost some of the people you were closest with in this house.
George’s hand stroked the back of your head, “That was fucking awful.” You mumbled tearfully into his chest, listening to the sound of his heartbeat to calm yourself down. “It’s alright, it’s alright.” He whispered into your hair, repeatedly pressing kisses on your forehead to sooth you.
You pulled yourself back from his chest, still leaning against him as you tilted your head up to look at him. “Who did you vote for? Both times.” You whispered, hand fiddling with his top as he stroked loose hairs back from your face, wanting to capture your beauty more.
George held your face in his hand, pausing before saying, “Whitney.” You nodded and tried to hold back your tears for the second wave. Your lips trembled as your voice broke, “Me too.”
George pressed his forehead against yours, “If you leave, I’ll leave too.”
Tears started running down your face again, George tugged you into his arms more securely. “I’m so sorry.” He mumbled into your hair.
You chose to ignore his apology, seeing as it wasn’t relevant, it was never his fault you two were both forced into these situations. You only pulled him into the hug tighter, his reassuring words going deaf to your ears; just one more day and you’ll be leaving this house, with or without the money, but definitely with George.

“Foam dart blaster! We could all get Nerf guns and have a Nerf gunfight!” George exclaimed, joy written all over his face as he shook your shoulders from behind, reading out the items from the shop.
You gasped as you read the list, matching George’s excitement. “We could team up!” You twisted to face him, raising both your hands to high five him. He grabbed your hands and jumped up and down with you, both of you squealing like kids.
DDG confirmed one dart blaster to double check what they were like and when the item emerged from the shop, everyone gasped and tried to reach for it. “Oh my God!” George’s grin grew wider. DDG pointed at George, “Get five more.”
Cinna counted out the rest of the people as George stood up to the camera, “I’d like to confirm seven dart blasters.” He smiled at the camera.
The door opened to reveal all the dart blasters, everyone reaching for one. “Look at the state of these things!” George gasped and dragged you over, holding your hand. “Damn! Fuck dinner. Let’s go eat this.” He admired the blasters, passing one to you.
You turned to Cinna, “He’s actually gonna pick a dart blaster over me.” Shaking your head and pointing at George as he cradled the weapons. He nodded at you with raised brows, “You’ve been replaced, I’m sharing the bed with these tonight.”
Cinna laughed at your blank facial expression, you looking at the camera to check if you had heard George correctly.
After some time, you sat at the table with Mya, chatting about life and what you’re going to do with the money if you win it. Your conversation was interrupted as George tapped you on the shoulder, “Come with me.” He winked, your eyes glancing down at the gun slung over his shoulder.
You grabbed yours off the table and rounded the corner to see Cinna and PK led on the floor as if they had been shot, “Say hello to my little friend!” George reenacted and started shooting at the pair, you laughed and joined in, aiming for Cinna who didn’t realise there were two of you.
“What the fuck!” Cinna gasped and sat up, picking up her gun and aiming for you, getting a good few shots in. PK rolled around on the floor, you unable to hold your laughter in when George started yelling.
Cinna managed to aim perfectly and hit you straight in the head, “Oh! Headshot!” She yelled out in excitement and cheered. You pretended to fall back and slide down the wall, playing the part as if you died, yet George hadn’t noticed and continued shooting.
You kicked George’s shin, “George! I’m literally dead!” Cinna burst out laughing. “What?” George yelled back but didn’t spare you a glance, still shooting PK.
“George, I shot your girlfriend!” Cinna pointed at your body on the floor. George furrowed his brows and looked down at you. He dropped his gun and dramatically yelled, “No!” He knelt down to reach your level.
He was about to perform a full monologue mourning your death, but you couldn’t hold in your laughter and you leaned forward to rest your head on George’s shoulder.
You nodded towards his gun behind him, “You went fully sexy Nathan Drake then.” You winked at him and he laughed as your niche reference. “Only you would say that.” He shook his head and offered his hands out to help you up off the floor, which you accepted.

“Let’s recreate scenes!” PK had suggested, prompting all of you to reenact the moment Mandi was eliminated. “Where were we all?” You asked, looking around the room.
PK pointed at Cinna, “You and me, we’ll pretend to be Y/N and George!” The American hopped off her spot on the beanbag and layed out on the sofa. PK sat next to her and held her hands, shifting shoulder to shoulder with her. “We’re not gonna recreate it all because that wouldn’t be Netflix appropriate.” PK smirked, staring straight at the camera in the corner of the room with a suggestive eyebrow raise.
Your mouth dropped open, “We are not like that!” You said as you watched PK and Cinna pretend to lean in for a kiss before staring straight at each other. Cinna whipped her head around to you, “Yeah! You’re worse!” PK threw his head back laughing.
Jason began the scene until he was interrupted with the TV behind him going off; ‘Please head to the Challenge Arena.’ It read.
Everyone exclaimed while some (Jason and PK) cheered. The group walked down to the Arena, the door opening to reveal a screen and a seat next to it, the screen reading ‘Spill The Tea.’
“I’m cooked.” PK laughed. George wrapped an arm around your waist and tugged you close, pressing a soft kiss against the side of your head and dragging you down onto the seat next to him, squished between him and Mya, his hand settling on your thigh as Ethan and Tobi stood proud before you.
“It’s time to spill the tea.” Ethan smiled, barely able to contain his excitement for the drama about to ensue. “Let’s see what you guys really think about each other. Each one of you will be called to the hot seat, and you’ll be questioned on something someone said or done, and it’s your job to get the correct answer.”
After a couple rounds, it was PK’s turn to be in the spotlight. Tobi read off the cue cards, “Which Insider was told, ‘After our kiss last night, I haven’t stopped thinking about you.’”
You closed your eyes in silent horror, hearing the group of people around you all gasp and look between each other. PK’s mouth dropped open, “What have I missed?” He laughed and rocked on his chair.
You and George subtly looked over at each other, trying to hide the grin and pink cheeks that were growing on both of your faces. “Who’s kissing who?” Pk mumbled to himself; George’s hand on your thigh tensed and squeezed it slightly as his attention remained on the man in front of you all.
PK squinted his eyes and pointed at you and George, “Somethings telling me it’s you two…” You held a straight face as Tobi’s stare watched to see if you communicated the answer in any way to PK.
PK smirked as he saw George’s hand comfortably on your thigh, “Yeah, I’m going with the two lovebirds over there.”
Ethan nodded and urged everyone to look at the screen, “Let’s find out.”
The screen turned on to show you and George sat at the vanity in the bedrooms, staring into each other's eyes. The room gasped and bellowed in laughter and screams as the intimate moment between you and George was exposed, causing you to hide your face in his neck, hearing his airy chuckles as he watched on.
“And after our kiss last night,” Your cheek burned under his touch. “I haven’t stopped thinking about you. Everything about you, Y/N.” He whispered, heart sinking at your silence, “Please say something.” He pleaded.
Instead of saying anything, you leaned forward and pressed your lips against his harshly. He grunted in shock and quickly settled into the kiss, hand rounding to the back of your head and tangling in your hair, pushing your face closer to his. George tilted his head to deepen the kiss, his tongue slipping past your lips. You sighed at the contact and wound your hand through his mullet, finding yourself leaning forward to practically sit on his lap.
George noticed this and placed his hands on the backs of your thighs, hoisting you onto his lap, catching you by surprise. You yelped into the kiss which caused him to part from you for a moment, “You drive me insane, Y/N.” Your hands cupped his cheeks and you could feel his jaw moving from the intensity he was kissing you with, heat flowing through your body.
“Well, PK. You got both answers spot on!” Tobi clapped.
PK tore his eyes away from the screen with his jaw slack, “George, you horny bastard!” He yelled, pointed at the man who blinked in shock. You covered your mouth to suppress your laughter as everyone, including Tobi and Ethan, slammed the table near them in screeches of laughter.
It was then your turn to be in the hot seat, “Y/N, please join us at the front.” Ethan called your name, he avoided eye contact with you, a sinking feeling settling in his stomach as he held the cue card to reveal your question.
“Oh no…” You pulled an awkward smile, standing up from your seat and letting George’s hand that was resting on your thigh fall off. As you walked away, you heard him mutter a soft, “Good luck.” You winked back at him.
You sat down onto the stool, adjusting your hoodie as you felt your nerves perk up. Looking over at Ethan, he cleared his throat and looked at you with a guilty facial expression. “Y/N. An Insider has lied to you.”
Your eyebrows raised as the people sat down opposite you dropped their mouths open, Cinna looking between them all and mumbling a “What?”
You were shocked to say the least, “Oh…” You laughed awkwardly and fiddled with the hem of your hoodie as Ethan continued. “An Insider has previously lied to you about who they voted for. Please may you name who you think this Insider is.” He declared.
You licked your lips, peering over at the group and seeing their stoic facial expressions. You were confused, you assumed everyone had been truthful to you about their voting habits in the past, now second guessing everything anyones said to you beforehand.
Scratching your jawline, you wince and let your eyes trail everyones body language to see if anyone was subtly giving you a hint, despite it not being a part of the game. “Oh, God…” You bit your lip.
Cinna held a calm facial expression, you had already crossed her off your list as she confirmed to you a couple days ago that she wouldn’t and has never lied to you within this house. Mya looked downwards, actively avoiding eye-contact with you as she picked at her nails. George’s leg was bouncing up and down, his elbows leaning on his knees as his hand rubbed against his chin; he stared directly at you with pleading eyes, taking keen notice of how his face looked paler than usual.
When you weren’t looking, George shook his head and made eye-contact with Ethan and Tobi on the side, both of them looking back at him with a subtle frown and a dreadful feeling looming over them.
You took a deep breath, “I’m gonna go with PK,” You pointed at him, “Only because I’m going off the assumption that they’re tricking me and the lying took place in one of the early days.” PK nodded at you with an understanding smile. “And me and PK weren’t close by then, so he might have lied to keep himself safe and in the game.” You reasoned.
Tobi nodded, “So your final answer is PK?” You deliberated for a moment, cringing and finalising, “Yes. I’m locking in PK.”
Tobi breathed out heavily and screwed his eyes shut, then pointed at the screen behind you. “Let’s see if you were right.”
You swiveled yourself around on the stood, “Fuck.” You bit your lip and tried to play off this whole event with a forced smile, your heart pounding out of your chest.
The TV flicked on and showed the image of you and George stood in an embrace after Farah’s elimination.
Your eyes widened and you snapped your head around to face George, confused by this entire thing and allowing yourself to give him the benefit of the doubt at the moment when the video wasn’t finished.
The TV paused for a moment, allowing you to turn back to George who stared at the floor. Your brows were furrowed alongside everyone else's. You shook your head, “Wait, so who the fuck did you vote for?”
Ethan sighed, “Y/N, please may you turn your attention back to the screen.”
You obliged, swallowing a sick feeling bubbling in your throat as you heard George behind you protesting, “No, no. Let’s not--” “Y/N, watch the video.” Tobi stated.
Your palms were sweating and your head hurt as you watched the TV flick back on. A picture of George sat in Room 19.
George sighed, crossing his legs on the sofa as he held the cards in his hands, looking through the familiar faces before picking one out. He held the back of the card to the camera as he began to explain his voting.
“This is an extremely tough decision to make,” He said, fumbling with the corners of the card. “I like everyone in the house now, we’ve all warmed up to each other and I’ve already made memories to last a lifetime.”
George licked his lips and shook his head, “But I feel like I’ve been playing it safe this entire time and it’s clear that in doing so, people have seen me as a target to vote out.”
“I can’t have people in here thinking I’m playing a game, we’re all here for the same reason and would go to certain lengths to get it.” He rubbed his face with his hands, groaning into them. Then leaning back and resting both of his arms on the back of the sofa.
“I’ve decided to vote for this person because I’m completely convinced that they’ll be safe, so technically my vote doesn’t count for anything.” He started his reasoning.
“But in doing so, I’m also proving a point with my vote. It’ll probably shake up the house for all the wrong reasons but… I guess that’s part of the reason why I’m doing it.” He laughed and threw his head back, running his fingers through his hair before picking up the card again.
“So, with that. I’ve decided to vote for…” He flipped the card around to show the camera.
“Y/N.”
The video ended as everyone around you gasped.
You fell still, heart pounding as you felt it sink deeper in your stomach. You shook your head with your tongue wedged between your teeth, biting down hard as you tried to stop the tears from falling from your water coated eyes. Your hands were shaking as you itched your neck, feeling a flush of embarrassment running through your body.
You refused to turn around, you couldn’t bear to see anyone, especially George, with you crying over the person you were the closest with to betray you.
Fuck, you had literally kissed yesterday. You literally fucking slept with him. And he wants you out; what happened to ‘if you leave, I leave’ bullshit? Was he always lying? Did this entire ‘relationship’ mean anything to him? Or did he just want to win and saw you as an easy route to the final?
“Y/N, I am so sorr--” George started. “Don’t.” Your voice trembled, holding back tears. You wanted to get out of this room right now, the feeling was suffocating you.
You looked over at the void where you previously sat, feeling sick that you had to sit next to him again. Shaking your head, you walked to the opposite end of the bench, nodding for Jason to move down and for you to sit on the end.
In silence, Jason obliged with a guilty face, feeling awful for you right now. You felt George’s eyes burn into the side of you face, lip tucked between his teeth with words and apologies threatening to spill; but since he’s fucked up so bad already, he owed you the right for space right now.
Sitting down, you rubbed your face with your hands, sighing heavily and clearing your throat to cover any emotion that was spilling over. PK’s hands brushed your shoulders and squeezed them in support, you placed your hand on top of his as a silent appreciation.
“Y/N, are you okay?” Ethan said softly, eyes casting over you sat with your head low. You shrugged your shoulders, “I don’t know.” You said, voice coming out a lot quieter than you intended, words trembling as your hands shook in the sleeves of your hoodie.
Tobi nodded at you, “Alright. We’ll move on.” He shared a glance with Ethan, “I’m gonna call PK back to the hot seat.”
“Which Insider has lied about their temptation?” He was asked. You knew it was George, he had told you. The reminder of his immunity felt like they were rubbing salt into the wound, the image of you refusing a moment of clarity for George and his safely in this show, and his willingness to vote you out; when was this fucking challenge going to end?
After locking in the answer of Jason, the clip of George rolled through. You didn’t look up at the screen, eyes glued to the floor as your lips trembled, eyes rolling back to stop tears blurring your vision.
Cinna watched you as the clip played, reaching her hand behind Jason and tapping your side. You looked up at the contact and felt Cinna’s hand nudge yours, you let her hand intertwine with yours, knowing you needed the comfort right now. A frown deepened on your face, the impending sickening feeling of George snaking you out replayed over and over in your head; kicking and torturing you for being so naive.
George raised his hand to defend his case, “I would like to say I did feel absolutely awful as soon as I went round the corner. I told Y/N. I told Cinna. I told Milli.” He glanced over at you, yet you didn’t look anywhere near his direction.
Jason turned to you, “You knew?” You swallowed and looked at him, “Yeah, but if I knew we were snaking each other out, I would have told you all.” You spat to try and deflect your sadness.
George let out a sigh, stomach swarming with guilt; he needed to talk to you immediately. “Y/N…”
“No, it’s fine. Gotta do what you gotta do to win.” You shrugged your shoulders and stared ahead, the screen in front of you a mockery to what you wish you hadn’t seen.
Tobi sighed, “Wow. That was some spillage.” Ethan looked over at everyone, “I think the dynamic’s shifted a bit.”
Once you were given the signal to leave, you instantly hopped out your seat and strode towards the exit doors, waiting for no one. George watched you leave, lingering in his seat for a moment and sighing, looking over at where you once sat next to him with his hand on your thigh, smiling and tucking your head into his neck.
Jason tapped George on the shoulder, “You gonna talk to her?” George nodded, “Eventually. Well, when she wants to see me.”
Jason cringed, “You fucked up, brother.” George nodded and rubbed his face with his hands, “I know.” He mumbled. “I know.” He repeated in a whisper.
time skip!
“Hey, can we talk?” You heard George mumble from around the corner. You were sitting where you had kissed, once a happy memory, but now tainted with a feeling that none of it was real.
You didn’t respond, so George took the liberty to sit down next to you with enough comfortable space between you two.
“I’m sorry.” He started.
“No, you’re not.” You whispered, voice thick with sadness.
George tilted his head with furrowed brows, “Y/N, I really am…” He sighed watching you shake your head with a humorous laugh, lip tucked between your teeth and tears brimming on your waterline.
“Why would you do that?” You mumbled. George looked down to the floor, “I don’t know. I wasn’t thinking.”
“What night was it?” You faced him, staring daggers into his solemn face. His head whipped up and his face was etched with confusion. “What?”
“Which night did you vote for me?” You spoke with certainty.
George’s face paled, “Y/N, that’s not what I want--” “Tell me.” You left no room for digression.
You watched him swallow and eyes trail over you, as if this confession could lose you. As if he was never going to see you again, at least in this light. His chest rose up and down a lot quicker, his heart pounding against his chest.
“The first one.” He said with regret.
Your face fell as you reflected on that night. The one in which you were almost eliminated. If it wasn’t for your insane luck and Milli’s generosity, you would have not been in this house right now, and believing George missed you; but he was the biggest game player here.
“Oh, my fucking God…” You muttered, eyes trailing away from him. You heard him sigh, “Let me explain.”
“Explain what?” You interrupted him, “George, I was basically eliminated! And you didn’t fucking care, you were part of the reason!”
You remembered his face of regret when Vik said you received the lowest voices, thinking at the time, that he was upset at your departure; but no, he realised he was at fault and had to face the consequences of his impulse actions that had led you two to this exact moment.
You covered your face with your hands as it became too overwhelming, “What happened to the ‘You leave, I leave’ bullshit, George?”
He didn’t meet your eyes. All the excuses and apologies that he had planned and were on the tip of his tongue before entering this room had fallen off his lips, reduced to immense guilt as he felt you slipping away from his grasp.
“Did I mean anything to you, George? Or were you just playing the game?” George’s eyes snapped up to see tears streaming down your face.
“No! It was never that!” He started, hands waving around as his brows upturned. “Was I an easy route to the final?” You ignored him.
“No!” George shook his head, desperation seeping in his voice. “Someone to make you feel less lonely being here?” You laughed painfully, thinking back to all your shared moments and considering if any of it was real, let alone last.
George reached for your hand, “Y/N, please…” You flinched away from his touch, “Clearly not because you were happy to get me the fuck out of here!” You thought back to your last question, disregarding any point George tried to make, he understood he messed up, but he needed to feel what you felt.
George sighed and let your statement linger in the air, silence suffocating the room for a moment. “Y/N, you are so much more than this stupid game.” He said. You looked over at him and saw the rims of his eyes were red, cheeks pale and hair messy. Any other time, you would have wrapped him up in your arms and held him close, stroking his hair and kissing his face, whispering sweet nothings; because you knew that man, but you didn’t know the one sat in front of you right now.
You tilted your head and looked at him, “Then why did you pick it over me.” You whispered.
George couldn’t respond. He couldn’t deny you because he knew you were right. His heart plummeted into his stomach as you looked tired from crying, tears staining your cheeks and hands shaking as you brushed hair away from your face, an action he once had the privilege to do, but screwed it all up. He regretted it the moment he said your name in Room 19, the words fell off his tongue as if he was speaking a different language, it didn’t feel right. But he still did it, and he couldn’t take it back.
You couldn’t bear the silence or him anymore and made a move to leave the room. Standing up slowly, you heard George one more time, “I’m so sorry.”
You glanced at him, “I don’t care.” And you left the room, leaving your heart behind you and your rational head questioning if there was any point being in here now; the game had played you, and you didn’t know if you wanted to play it anymore.
