An online buddy of mine who I have been venting about my declining mental health due to the quarantine and play AC with sent me this. I started sobbing on my porch. This girl has never actually met me and cared so much that I was struggling she did something so kind. I hate being mentally ill but the fact that I’m not scaring people away due to it makes me really relieved.

If we say we have “a lot to do”, and keep we repeating it, chances are we’ll be overwhelmed by that thought and / or experience stress. 

However if we break it down to what tasks we have to do, what steps we have to take instead of saying to ourselves we have to do “a lot”, we’ll find comfort and see it as doable. 

Definiteness gives us clarity. 

Instead of saying “oh my god I have so much to do”, make a list of “to dos”, write them down, get them out of your head. Allow yourself to tackle them one by one. 

This definiteness also works with planning for money. 

Instead of saying I need to earn a lot, really calculate how much it is that you require and make definite plans to achieve them. 

“So much”, “A lot”, etc cannot be measured and that’s why you’ll never be able to achieve them. 

Get definite. 

Demand for definite results and achieve them.
