Down with Bruce Wayne not being able to cook. That headcanon doesn’t make sense. He’s Batman. He trained with anyone and everyone and is a brilliant chemist. People who can’t cook don’t know how to follow instructions properly or haven’t watched an easy YouTube video to figure out what to do. Simple as that. If you think this man, who is a borderline superhuman at chemistry, doesn’t know cook????

Bruce Wayne is a great cook. He can create incredible dishes and has easily enough knowledge to know proper substitutions for ingredients to make what he’s cooking still turn out great. He knows flavor profiles and how to mix them to create complex flavors and unique yet delicious flavor combos.

#madness combat #fd_art #madness combat oc #oc: zero #madness combat sanford #so the fish is a lahontan cutthroat trout - the state fish of nevada. there's a few reasons why I chose this fish in particular beyond that #because subspecies were not an agreed upon term for these fish they instead created 'UIEU' - so in a way this particular fish does not #conform to the expected or known norms and an entirely new form of identification came about to distinguish it #they also have an incredibly long history in the lahontan basin - up to 10 million years ago. on top of having the potential to be extremel #large. all of those factors contributed to this being a very fitting fish to be chosen by zero even if none of these ideas would actually #you know. translate into madness combat itself. these are all tidbits from the real world that we could infer/observe ourselves #ANYWAY. originally i wanted to show her carrying two fish - an example of her hunting prowess. but it also felt kind of showboaty #zero doesn't intimidate or show off or even do anything intentionally frightening - its all a consequence of just how she is #zero is deliberate effective and efficient. she would go for the singularly biggest fish and grapple with it until it was subdued #with her bare hands and nothing else. because she's rather stubborn and particular about her tools having spent so long in the #loop she only exclusively used the tools that she brought. and then that merged into her revolvers and blade to a point where she wouldn't #pick up and use anything on the floor. that's why she's not using a fishing rod or spear #plus idk i think its cute and weirdly humanising imagining her diving in the water and swimming after a large fish to catch it #some sort of vicious grace to it but also silly clumsiness floundering around in the water splashing wildly #and i wanted to specifically encapsulate that feeling with how zero slinks back all soggy and soaked to a very amused sanford #that zero would come out to do something like this with him. to do something so mundane with their time and actually partake in it #when normally zero would just relegate herself to watching and has definitely done that before - tagged along but just watched eerily #also there's that tiiiny little competitive twinge between them. the who's stronger kinda thing. so the fact zero went and caught a fish #bigger than the bucket that sanford is carrying before he even landed a single fish was also an intentional detail #a memory formed from that day. a memory of zero that has permanence in someone else's mind - and in that she tangibly exists

The power of fandom unintentionally manifesting episodes strikes again. Minimum wage worker Puzzles was too good of an idea to pass up on >:)

#there’s no real similarity aside from the fact Puzzles is broke off his ass and in dire need of currency lol #he living in his washed-up middle age life crisis struggle era #I think the narrative infantalizes him a couple times but that’s mostly for comedic goofs #plus this episode was a good reminder to the audience just how damaged he’s become from solitary confinement #not only psychically with the rust but also with his unhinged behaviors #his thought patterns are borderline illogical and he still hasn’t learned to not act on impulse alone #like that lack of rehab did him NO favors #he has a very wistful way of viewing the world that’s so detached from reality and reason due to the fictional archetypes and all #it was cute that he got a star sticker though good for him lol #that moment also demonstrated how he receives validation and praise based on titles #such as being labeled the ‘greatest producer’ or ‘best cinematographer’#there’s a level of authority and role seeking that he subconsciously does in order to feel like a good person #idk if we should be concerned about that or not :(#because as someone who sets fairly high standards for myself…chasing that external title can make you feel miserable #but that is not new information. We’ve known for a long while that Puzzles seems external validation (such as his show ratings)#there’s a key difference between intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation #as long as he’s doing things for the sake of what his loves instead of the sake of reward chasing he will be on a healthier path of recover #anyways given the fact Puzzles motives are so hard to pin-point at times (because he is a man of SEVERAL wants)#I appreciate that this episode is rather self-contained with clearly establishing his goals/wants as something achievable in the moment #he still has that broader goal of repairing the damage he did to WPNZ & Toomp but it’s not dominating the storylines as much #probably saving the main ordeal for WOTFI #it’s all the tiny things that are gradually building up to his goal—meeting WPNZ kids and Karen #I wonder if they would vouch for his redeeming qualities or if they’d be disturbed by how he treated WPNZ #but yeah uh I like how Puzzles tried to use his method of positive affirmations on Karen #even if promoting her to ‘Junior Junior Manager’ seems ridiculous and delusional #ultimately it’s HIS way of communicating and trying to express his appreciation for her work #so even if she didn’t fully comprehend the sentiment it’s still an attempted act of praise on his end #so that’s all for nonsensical writing I will explode now *explodes*#rambling in tags #smg4 mr puzzles
