i dont read a lot of modern books or at least books set in a modern day (not for any particular reason) so it always really REALLY throws me off when i do and they start mentioning brand names every other sentence.

#well into triple digits of successful commissions atp #only ever had to file 2 disputes #one of which was this gem #who blocked me about 5 mins after I messaged them #about the comm I never even had a chance to review #and without ever sending me a full resolution file #then went on tumblr blast rants at least three times #raving about how I accused them of ai #when I never said a word about ai at all #instead of just #idk #handling it amicably like a professional #just sayin

It is 2025 and I am already seeing fucking Blue MAGA liberals pile on posts about how much Gavin Newsom sucks (including but certainly not limited to his appalling attitude towards unhoused people, including doing a photo op of him tearing down an encampment with his own two hands) with comments like

"stop with the purity tests"

"people like you are why we lost"

"what's the alternative"

"shut up at least he's doing something"

and my favorite

"we need him now. we can deal with the rest later."

They said the same fucking thing about Biden and Harris and will say the same fucking thing about any Democrat that people dare to point out has shitty policies.

First of all, Gavin Newsom's policies and attitudes affect plenty of people in the state of California RIGHT FUCKING NOW, including people I know and care about, and I think those people have a right to call him out. Secondly, Gavin is clearly gearing himself up to be a 2028 presidential nominee, and he's playing into the same shitty centrist playbook that lost Harris the election.

Every time anyone tries to criticize Democrats and point out the ways in which they are not actually progressive, even the ways in which their policies actually align rather closely with Trump's, there is an immediate chorus of liberals shouting down that criticism, saying "now is not the time", "at least he's not Trump", "why can't you just get in line and support them sit down shut up vote blue no matter who". It's exhausting and I do truly believe it's part of the reason we are where we are. Because anytime anyone is loud enough to ask "hey could you put your money where your mouth is on these progressive policies you supposedly support" we are told "not right now." No matter how fucking far away the next election is, it's never the "right time".

And not right now becomes never, and the Overton window keeps shifting right, and the government is full of fascists, only some of whom wear red hats.

I'm just so goddamn tired and if I have to spend the next three years listening to liberals tell me that I need to shut up and support Gavin Fucking Newsom to save democracy I am going to hurl.

i personally have grown to be very attached to some of the human characters in 17776 & its sequel and i just don't think we invest in personal designs for them as much as we do with the probes...i'm not too good with art as of late, but i'll throw my shot in the dark with these :]

i myself have been obsessively drawing my design for nancy mcgunnell! despite ed kreiger being my true favorite human & another one i do have a design for i find nancy to be the one i draw more often cause she's really simple to doodle offhandedly

i also did mimi mackenzie from 20020 since she's my favorite human from the sequel :D

and here's some extras i've been meaning to dump here
