isekai reader but them actually being transported into the fiction causes real damage and impact on the plot and the one character who moves the plot originally fucking DIES and its all the reader's fault and it slowly turns into Horror as they realize they are a real anamoly and parasite to everyone around them but then they go 'who cares these are fictional characters, im the only real one' and only looks out for themselves and either becomes the actual villain with their knowledge of the world or go insane over the horror

The other day I heard the most soulless cover of Dreams by the Cranberries while waiting in line at the TJ Maxx. It was bad enough that this one woman cut in line to complain to the cashier and then pull a "while I'm here ring me up" situation, but that meant I was forced to sit through this entirely dreadful dance dream pop rendition of Dreams that was making me beyond irritated. Like it's already the definitive dream pop song. You didn't have to try to make it more dream pop and then suck any emotion right out of the song. Just because you can hit the notes doesn't mean you can feel them.

Why doesn't Zuko have any Fire Nation childhood friends?

Something I have been thinking about lately is, how come that Zuko doesn’t seem to have any childhood friends in the Fire Nation?

I mean, Azula has Ty Lee and Mai. I assume that they have been chosen and approved by the Palace because you can’t let just anyone play with the Princess of the Fire Nation. But shouldn’t Zuko have some friends picked for him too? When he was a child he was not considered the heir as Lu Ten was still alive, so that couldn’t be a reason (that the heir needs extra protection and thus no outside contacts). And Zuko was quite a lovely child as far as we see him in the few flashbacks, that the show gives us. A momma’s boy, sure, but I don’t think that’s a reason for not having any friends at all.

And if he had any friends, why did he stop to see them? Did Ozai forbid it as a punishment for Zuko’s lousy firebending? Was there another reason? Did they have to move and if so, why didn’t they stay in contact over letters? I just think it’s unlikely that Zuko never had any friends of his own before he joined the Gaang.

Just wondering.
