the Integrity crew should be getting hazardous duty pay for having to keep their media faces on while the orange dickbag bloviated at them. $1000 per minute per astronaut sounds about right
I've been on this planet a while, so I've seen a bunch of messed up shit happen.
But this time, for fucking once, I got to witness something historical that's good and positive and wholesome. Something hopeful.
We sent the right people on this mission. And they did a phenomenal job.
They didn't just go to the Moon and back, they brought back some of that light with them. And that has little to do with science and everything to do with humanity.
Thank you Reid, Christina, Victor and Jeremy.
Moon joy, indeed 🤍 amaze, amaze, amaze 🤍
i dont think words can explain how beautiful this moment is to me. there’s something so gentle and quiet about the many divers and the medical team swarming around the astronauts, who are sat on the floor leaned up against each other. maybe for support, maybe comfort, probably both.
there are so many divers, all in dark clothes, almost clogging the scene with how many of them there are. but, despite the activity, the four stationary astronauts in their bright orange suits still draw your attention. even though they’re quite literally overshadowed by the recovery team, and even though they’re low to the ground while everyone else is either standing or crouching to meet them, they’re still the focal point. genuinely, it’s such a beautiful image. if i didn’t know any better, i’d think it was on purpose
(more screenshots of the livestream i found from other posts)
Artemis II touch down let's GOOO! We're one step closer to a moon base, haha! I loved watching this crew so much, what an outstanding group of individuals and a phenomenal ground control and all the hands that went into it. And what a gorgeous world we live in! All those photos of our beautiful Earth, moon, and stars (even planets!) wow. God's creativity is gorgeous and it's great to witness.
PS I do not hate the moon in the slightest it's beautiful and fascinating; Time just has Majora's Mask PTSD 😆
I am so happy I didn't end it all when I was 13 because now I'm 18 crying tears of joy to a livestream of four absolute strangers who singlehandedly reignited my love for all things space
After beating the record for the furthest humans have ever gone into space, Reid Wiseman, commander of the Artemis 2 mission, just named a new bright spot on the moon after his late wife, Carroll.
He, quite literally, loves her to the moon and back.
As I watched the Artemis II (Integrity) crew fly around the moon, surpassing the furthest humanity has ever been from Earth (since the Apollo crew decades ago), I suddenly saw a Nutella jar fly through the capsule. That was a hilarious moment and it will surely lead to more conspiracy theories, haha. 😂
