#interesting ship

While I'm trying to think of what art I wanna draw, I thought "how about I share one of my ship thoughts" so here's that thought.

MetAmy is really intriguing.

Now, I know I'm moreso a Shadamy shipper, but hear me out.

See, in my opinion, Metal Sonic was created by Robotnik/Eggman to be a superior version of Sonic. However, that doesn't appear to have worked out. Sonic constantly defeats Metal Sonic in combat and speed.

That being said, there is one thing Sonic sucks at that, if programmed, Metal Sonic could surpass him in: his love life. It's clear that Amy has a crush on Sonic and Sonic just brushes it off, perhaps not knowing how to get that fire started. Or, in all honesty, maybe Sonic isn't interested in Amy. But, for this example, let's pretend he is, just not sure how to properly show it. There's a few comics that explore the Metamy ship. (None of which I have the links to, but they DO exist.) But, honestly, I have a fairly set idea for what I wanna see with this ship.

My idea for Metamy

Metal Sonic, after copying Sonic's data, starts developing his own crush for Amy. It's so strong, he will actively prevent her from getting hurt by his creator's weapons, confusing not just Sonic and Eggman, but especially Amy. Metal wouldn't even attack her, avoiding her in combat as much as possible.

Amy, beyond confused, would eventually get so curious about the kindness Metal shows her that she demands Eggman to fight Metal herself. The entire battle, Amy would easily annihilate Metal and Metal wouldn't have laid a single scratch on her. Finally, after weakening Metal enough, Amy would drop her hammer, kneel to an incredibly damaged Metal Sonic's level, and straight ask him why he isn't fighting back.

Metal, not being able to talk, would simply guide her hand to stroke his cheek. Easily able to understand Metal, Amy wouldn't know what to say. A fake Sonic showing more interest in her than the real Sonic ever did. Eggman, being the fun wrecker he usually is, would then take Metal back to his lair to repair him, leaving Amy petrified and confused.

Phobos is used to the sound of silence, used to the sound of only him and his own thoughts. It's what brought him this far in life- contemplation in silence.

So when he heard Sheriff leave the building and noticed him bringing a guitar, he was mildly interested. He's never even SEEN the man play guitar.

He waited a few more minutes, examining his nails and making sure his bandages were in place correctly- then, he approached the door leading outside.

He heard the strums of a song through the door, and pushed it open quietly.

The Sheriff was humming slightly as he played, sitting on the edge of the cliffside all the while. Just ahead of him shine a beautiful Nevada sunset, the sun burning different pinks and oranges into the sky.

Phobos has never seen nor heard anything so... ethereal. He watched the other man peacefully strum away.

Phobos has never touched a guitar, let alone get lessons for it. So, this is one of the only times he is impressed by the skill of another.

He slowly walked over to the other, deciding to sit by him and just enjoy his songs.

Luckily, Sheriff didn't jump when he realized Phobos was there. He didn't cease his playing either, continuing to play the song he was currently playing.

He wanted to compliment the others' playing skills, but thats below him. He didn't want to talk, anyways, lest he ruin the moment.

He glanced over at the one in the cowboy hat, and they glanced back.

He couldn't resist the muscles of his mouth tugging upwards in a smile after the Sheriff shot him a bright grin.

Maybe they should spend time together like this more in the future.
