Suddenly filled with burning curiosity on how Aspect looked when he was a baby/little kid
Please please PLEASE tell me he was really fluffy and that his ears were the same size then as they are now and he had to grow into them like German Shepherd puppies

He had a clear center part in his hair once upon a time. Aspect didn't always slick his hair back. Or wear so much jewelry. Or have so much body paint. He's no more or less fluffy, but he did grow into his ears and eyes a bit as he got older.

I feel as though you should know that Gen showed up in my dream, if only by being mentioned. Also he was categorized as a magical girl in said dream, for some reason (if anyone’s a magical girl, it’s someone like Twilight or Mask or Verdi or the Colors), but that’s all I can remember of said dream

It's become increasingly obvious; I can deny it no longer!
Inspired by that one room in the Eastern Temple, except I switched the Links around a little.
The premise is that a Link in the Dark World has to carry a Link in the Light World over a bunch of hazards to hit a switch. That's why the colors change between colorful and grey. A Link in the Dark World looks like a shadow in the Light World, and a Link in the Light World looks like a shadow in the Dark World, so the colors change depending on whose perspective it is.
