IB History Part 2 IA
For your History paper, its important to pick a interesting topic to you, most History examines have a specific time line that you can follow. During your writing it’s important to remember that your teacher maybe only to look at your writing full essay once but can look at different parts multiple times. For this I recommend that you do not procrastinate and by this I mean the more work you turn in, the more help you’re willing to get. The same rule applies for every IB course that requires an essay, the IB rule states a teacher can only look over your entire paper once but can help you on small sections multiple times.
During this essay you will need to cite all of your sources in MLA format in your bibliography which will come at the end. As well as depended on your topic, it will be good to contain at least two book sources in your evaluation of sources.Your sources are extremely important to your essay, since this a History paper you will also be given a rubric to follow to ensure that your paper meets IB standards. And during this be sure to stay on your word count.
Your teacher will not only assign you a rubric but also specific deadlines which I encourage you to follow. A helpful hint which worked well with my teachers is as students writing your essay it will be beneficial to contact your teachers as a whole to discuss deadlines so that your course work will not interfere with your due dates. The teachers will be more then willing to work together to provide this.
Most importantly please use time management skills so that you will not lose sleep over this, your health is extremely important.
'Tis the season for IAs,
