British government's approach to child safety online still boiling my blood.

The new proposals from the PM would have an even more unreasonable impact on adults simply existing online.

But the worst thing is these measures wouldn't have helped me when I was groomed online as an underage teenager.

I can't even talk about that irl btw because nobody else really knows.

My generation (late millenials/early gen z) is a forgotten one. When the Internet was a wild west nobody gave a shit. Now we suddenly do after thousands of kids like myself came to harm. I don't truly believe any of these Internet bans for kids are motivated by helping us. Otherwise they'd listen to survivors (many of whom are adults now like myself) and understand restricting Internet access and features just isolates abused children more.

Are there any Small Social Media’s for artists?

I’m Australian and on Dec 10th of this year my country is banning social media for under 16’s, I’m over 16 but the thought of giving my ID to some big billion dollar companies really rubs me the wrong way. So I would like to know of any small social media’s that aren’t being banned and are more focused towards artists and animators and are queer friendly?

Can people please just ursurp the governments of the world at this point? The French have shown it works.
