I’ve got an appointment this morning, for physiotherapy on my messed up arm.
For ages, I have been told it’s my shoulder. No, dears, it’s NOT my shoulder, it originates in my bicep, but hey, whatever, what do I know?
So I’ve had two injections in my shoulder over the past couple few years, that have done NOTHING to help.
Shocker!
Then a few weeks ago, I went to see someone else. And he actually seemed to know what he was talking about.
He said it’s intersectional tendonitis, in my subscapularis. Ok, that’s very close to the shoulder area, but the problem itself isn’t anything to do with my shoulder. It’s where my bicep tendons attach close to the shoulder at the front, not the back, which is where they keep shoving needles in, lol.
I also know that the injection will radiate around the area, so they don’t necessarily have to inject in the exact place, to get relief, but still, that’s not the point.
So, now that they seem to know the real problem, I am going to see what they suggest to make it better.
I’ve had this problem for years now, and I’ve worked around it the best I can, but it’s so frustrating and restricting. There are certain movements that I really can’t do. I have also lost a lot of range of movement, partly because of the pain, and partly because I’ve just stopped moving in certain ways.
He found the problem, when he asked me to do a series of stretches. Everything was kind of ok, until he asked me to put my hand behind my back, and he tried to move it upwards. No chance. I nearly said a lot of very rude words, lol. Not happening!! I told him to stop VERY quickly.
So that’s what told him what the problem was, and where it was.
Really hope the physio can help. I’ve had enough of it now!
