Day 4 of @intrualityweek and i am once again doing something tangentally related to the prompt lol
I have a very specific view of their dynamic and how it evolves throughout time, but let's just say I think Remus would really hate Patton when he's starting to get accepted into the group (?
if you want to indulge me i'll go into more detail under the cut, but if not this is how i see them in a nutshell
Soooo imagine you and two other guys get shunned away for being "evil", and later you become very close with them. So close that they basically become the only people who don't judge you and truly understand you. But one day, one of them leaves you behind and basically wants nothing to do with you, and sometime later your other friend follows. And now you're completely alone, until you decide to pop up to see what's going on.
And only then you understand why: there's a guy who seems to have grown very close with your friends out of nowhere. But now he wants to extend the same kindness to you, to become a big happy family. Just that, you know, this is the same guy that made you and the most important people in your life feel like villains, took them away from you, and NOW wants you to forget everything and pretend nothing happened.
...yeah no if i were Remus i'd have to kill that guy lol-
Meanwhile, I think Patton did play a role in dividing the whole group into "dark" and "light" sides. Not out of malice, but rather ignorance and his very black and white views on morality. It took a while for him to actually reflect on his actions and realize the incredible amount of pain he caused, and wants to fix it. It took a lot of work, but managed to redeem himself to Virgil and Janus. Now, he wants to do the same with Remus. It's very difficult, especially since they don't have a lot in common, but he still wants to fix things.
Which makes Remus's much more confused but also angry. This is the person that hurt him the most, but now he actually seems remorseful. But he's not ready to forgive him, he is still hurting and mad. So Remus tries to bother Patton in order to make him snap and finally show everyone (and mostly himself) that Patton is actually evil. Except every time that happens he's met with compassion, which makes him even agrier, and want to force Patton to snap even more. At the same time, Patton is actually getting fustrated but feels like he can't really complain since he's the one at fault, and fears that it might affect their progress. The cycle repeats itself.

And while I haven't found the time to write anything new this week, I figured I might do something with my fic from last year!
This is mixed mediums used to depict Remus + Patton + nighttime + street light + sidewalk chalk.
Find the chapter it's based on here (it's short)
Find the rest of the fic here (it's short too)

Picture of my setup under the cut
This was basically my solution to the problem where I didn't want to figure out how to draw the sidewalk chalk in perspective or how to draw the lighting from the street light: just craft it instead!
A/N: Day 5 of Intruality Week. Wanted to do a fic between what I thought Remus would embody in his early 20s, along with Patton. I would believe that at the time, Remus would not be a fully formed entity but would have enough of a presence to influence others much like early 20s Virgil. With that said, enjoy 💚🩵
Sidenote: Remus' Early 20's titles are both "Impulses" and "Instincts", specifically the ones that are viewed as negative. He also has more of a shadow-like presence rather than a physical form.
Character(s): "Instincts/Impulses" (Early 20s Remus), Right Brain (Early 20s Patton)
Concept(s): (Implied) Right Brain is in LilyPadton form, First LilyPadton situation, Remus has the title "Instincts", Patton refers to Remus as "Int", Mention of frog legs
Pairing(s): Intruality
Prompt(s): Remus Comforting LilyPadton
Synopsis: Remus ("Instincts") helps Patton ("Right Brain") deal with his sad emotions
Trigger(s): (Mentions of) Food, Semi-Cannibalism (Let me know if there are any more)
Word Count: 105 words
~~~
Instincts (Early 20s Remus): "Hey, Kermit!"
Right Brain (Early 20s Patton): "I'm still not Kermit, Instincts!"
Instincts: "Eh, Tomato Tomahto!"
Right Brain: "…"
Instincts: "Would you at least consider thinking about it?"
Right Brain: "No, Int. I won't consider eating my own legs."
Instincts: "Awh! But frog legs are delicious!"
Right Brain: "I just want these thoughts to go away."
Instincts: "Oh, they will never go away!"
Right Brain: "Well, I want to just cry!"
Instincts: "THEN DO THAT! CRY UNTIL YOUR EYES FEEL LIKE PUDDING!"
Right Brain: "wut…"
Instincts: "never… mind… :3"
Right Brain: "Thanks for being here with me."
Instinct: "No problem…"
In light of intruality week I do want to say I dont think it's out-of-character for Remus to be a thoughtful partner. In fact I think there is evidence for him being very socially aware.
Sure, Remus is an incredibly obnoxious and impulsive person, but he also is canonically very attentive to certain behaviors. He clocks every time Logan feels ignored or undervalued, he knows exactly what to say to set Roman off, he knows how to get under Virgil's skin without starting a full blown argument.
Remus knows exactly how to interact with people to get the outcome he wants. It just so happens to be that what he wants is chaos.
