I love cross-source in-sys relationships, I love that there's Trick from Bistro Huddy and Luke Castellan [me] from Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and The Olympians book series dating, because our bodies and smiles are nearly identical and our other partners thought we'd be hot together and then we actually really really like each other. That's funny, and amazing, and fun, and I love it.

hi i need to ramble/maybe ask for advice anonymously and didnt know where else to go

sooo theres this person (it/they) and some of us kind of have a crush on them? its weird and unclear idk. and today, i started thinking they might like us back, but....

they dont know we're plural.

i dont want to have to explain plurality + in-sys relationships to someone, and im not sure it will even be okay with dating us if we wont break those off or even if they know we're plural.

Hi! As far as coming out to this person as a system, we have this post (<- link!) with a lot of advice for how folks can go about doing that!

If you have headmates who hope to maintain their inside relationships while also being a part of potential outside relationships, have you considered polyamory as a label for them? It is absolutely possible to love multiple people at once, and those who fit this description could be considered polyamorous!

The blog @intuspluric-culture-is is specifically for culture regarding romantic in-sys relationships, we believe! If you search their blog, perhaps they’ve published an ask or answered a question previously on how to go about managing inside relationships and outside relationships both at the same time?

Maintaining inside and outside relationships can be messy, yet fulfilling and beautiful! What helps relationships like these succeed more than anything else is communication and making time for each other, in our opinion. We have a QPR in our own system, the members of our partner system are dating each other, and we as as system are married to our partner system’s collective! In order for all of us to make this work it does take patience, effort, attentiveness, and communication from everyone involved (as they’re able to!).

naoyou struggles to say "i love you too" to either of us cuz its first response is always instead as if we'd just told it the sky was blue

"thanks, i didn't notice."

"oh wow, really?"

always like it's just mildly confused we're telling it something it's already thuroughly aware of. it doesn't even ever entertain the idea that it's something novel, it's such an intrinsic fact it'd have to be braindead to think otherwise.

and, likewise, it doesn't bother saying it back either because it loving us is also so blatant a fact it'd be slightly strange and out of place to vocalise it.

it doesn't understand the custom of saying it back, or even saying it in the first place. none of us have to, we never need to be reminded.

we can feel her chest rumbling as she purrs while laying in our lap. our cat son♡ she's purring so softly..

it feels peaceful again. it feels like everything's alright again

it's been less than a day of having to readjust. things are already so strange.

we have extremely low barriers between each other's emotions and thoughts in our system. it's one of the things we most enjoy about being with each other. feeling what each other feel, feeling through them.. so even though we all have differing interests, we'd all be able to enjoy it together through the other's excitement bleeding into us.

...we try now to watch or read or do his favourite things, and.

it's empty. there's nothing.

a harsh reminder of "he's not awake."

because of emotion and thought bleed being so intense for us, as well, we'll sometimes react to certain things in the same way he used to, out of habit.

in a strange way that's both comforting and devastating, it makes it feel like he's still here.

gege was heavily depressed. it's the entire reason he's dormant right now. but, neither of the other two of us are or were. we're all pretty even in fronting, so we spent a third of our time extremely burntout or crying due to gege's depression.

when geta went into a coma, he took the depression with him.

which does mean we have our dopamine back. and it's so weird. we have all this extra drive and motivation and ability to function that makes it feel. surreal.

i want him to wake up to a better world. i want to make all of this energy we've been given useful and make our life the perfect one for him to come back to.

i love you, kitty. i'll make the world worth it for you.
