Many people call autism an "invisible disability" because, as they say, you can't tell someone is autistic just from looking at them. I challenge that view and explain why.

I saw a truck overturned off the on ramp and attempted to contact 911. I'm mute and cannot talk so calling into 911 is out of the question. The picture shows my message and the automatic response generated to texts sent to 911. Not to sound like a broken record here, but what the fuck? Till now I haven't had a reason to contact 911 and didn't know text were not allowed. This is a serious disregard for those of us who cannot communicate through speech. How can an entire demographic have such trouble using even basic emergency services? And why hasn't this been addressed previously? I know this may seem trivial, but it's a serious concern for me. If I ever require assistance, what am I, or others like me, supposed to do? I'm all for being self-sufficient and adjusting to the annoyances and discrimination against those who communicate differently, but everyone needs help sometimes and how can we even ask for it? #mute #mutevoice #invisibledisabilitiesweek #invisibledisability #iam1stphorm #equalityforall #911 (at Council Bluffs, Iowa) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bo7UdTEnQHi/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1486upcrznzkm
Big pharma
Why not use the same cells that built us, to fix us? The same cells created in our bodies that know our bodies immune system, muscular skeleton and interior skeletal frame. We are all different people we all react differently. our bodies are built the same yet all run so unique. so again I ask why are we shunned from using our own magic elixir made from us and for us? Then prescribe one strand of medicine for all who fall in a text made up by clinics that not one person can honestly say what the text means? How it is brought to our bodies? or even what it is? yet they want us lab rats to test poisons until someone feals a little bit better then before. The pharmaceuticals still knowing their medicines have no guarantee for health, or of what side affects you will get from it and no guarantee on any results will still stand behind this new miracle for life. They make it look like a beautiful place to visit while hyping it up in comercials. while misleading the misunderstood to a unrealistic reality. The drugs in our systems, symptom are made to mask our appearance of health. To be superheroes to the weak and give hope to the fearful and the hopeless. Drugs are like taping a wound inside our bod, trying to look like a hero until the misplaced tape falls off. Misplaced because it was never meant to be there in the first place. We cannot expect a miracle drug for a disease they cannot explain. How can you treat a invisible illness and expect to win with a strong guess? More then that, how do we think it is moral to throw toxins down people's throats who are already neurologicaly destroyed on the inside? Our body needs our mind to heal. We need to hear our bodies call and not just listen, but respond. We need to give our body the proper tools, it's tools, that it already has to be able to repair itself. Being suplements that are deplete or minerals which need re- introduced to even or and, it's own stem cells which originally build our whole body then are stored away once their job of building us is complete. The stem cells once their job is done. go into hibernation and store themselves in our fat. They need to be awoken and re-introduced to our body in order to replicate the job they did before. travel through our blood and find what is damaged ( causing us our issues) and repairing the nerve and muscle damages.
Sometimes the hardest battles are the ones no one can see.
This week is Invisible Disabilities Week, and I’ve written about what it’s like to live with several hidden illnesses the fatigue that quietly steals hours, the pain that whispers beneath every movement, and the strength it takes just to keep going.
Not all disabilities are visible, but all are real. 💫
