this isnt the kind of post i usually make but jesus christ, can people calm down about hogwarts legacy???? i literally saw someone say “well i pay taxes but i dont ideologically agree with my country’s government/military” (paraphrasing) in response to being told that buying the game will financially support jkr. like yes shes awful shes disgusting she inspires fear in me but like. idk first of all the government will arrest you if you don’t pay your taxes, nobody’s going to come for you if you don’t buy hogwarts legacy. second of all, kinda cringe to just expect trans and jewish people to not be a little pissed about it when your actions financially support a known antisemite and transphobe. like its not like this is new information either. like yeah maybe trans people were aware of her terf-ness for years and years before the Big Cancelling, but well that was almost three years ago and we have all seen the fallout of that. and that’s not to excuse the people harrassing those who have bought the game!! that is just not something that is cool to do, especially considering that they ALREADY BOUGHT THE GAME, they already did the big bad thing and financially supported jkr. maybe learn something about harm reduction and such
