hey valentin can i get some autistic dn character headcanons? any character you want. the autism has been kicking me in the teeth lately and i need some positivity :(

- Both Near and L have a photographic memory, which obviously helped them a lot with their investigations. When L was younger, he used this skill to describe Watari in great detail what the dessert he wanted look like when he didn’t remember the name of it

- L has very sensitive ears, and one of the reasons why he immediately hated the second Kira was because of the shitty voice distorter she used

- While Near didn’t have close friends at Wammy’s, he was both liked and feared for being able to give useful rational and detailed critique when asked. He often brought points up no one else noticed.

- L loves the sensation of rubbing his fingertips lightly on his jeans

- Ironically, L is sometimes able to lucid dream - and it frustrates him endlessly, since he likes to not get reminded of the fact that he’s losing precious time to something called “sleep”

- One of Near’s favourite snacks are wasabi nuts. He likes spicy stuff in general, and dislikes fatty and mushy food. Although he’s less picky with food than L, he’s extremely bad at recognising hunger for what it is, and usually mistakes it for just being in a bad mood

- Even though L is rarely attracted to people, he will sometimes find himself charmed by someone’s voice...

- Before Near got a weighted blanket, his preferred way to sleep was to squeeze himself in tight spaces he furnished with pillows

- One of the reasons L’s wardrobe is so uniform is because colours have a great influence on his mood & white and blue are the most neutral colours for him

- Near used his toys to communicate with people before he could talk, and he never completely stopped using them that way

- L loves puns, which means Light and his name were a constant temptation. He almost never said his ideas out loud, but he mentally catalogued some of them, especially when Light went on one of his tirades

- Near has a love for numbers & he likes how Mello’s birthdate looks like

hi, i just wanted to say that i love clockwork so much!!! (though my url is unrelated to it, that's just a cool coincidence lol) for some context, i'm autistic, and i find cog REALLY relatable in how he experiences the world and interacts with others, so it's been a really lovely comic and never fails to make me smile. thank you so much for your work! and please don't feel pressured to produce too much, take care of yourself! i just wanted to say thanks a lot for the smiles and laughter :D

mello and B for the headcanon meme :D

MELLO:

(A, Realistic)- he was the hardest working student at Wammy’s by far and his teachers loved grading his essays the most

(B, Not Realistic but Hilarious)- that he shipped LxB as a vessel for his own childhood crush on L and that’s why the Another Note book abruptly says suggestive stuff about B being a top and L being a bottom several times throughout

(C, Heart-Crushing)- that he couldn’t stand the idea of Near not being the enemy he’d built him up to be in his childhood because of how much of his life had been shaped by that resentment, so he closed himself off to any possibility of them working together. I think he actually did have fun collaborating with Near when they interrogated Mogi and shared information and such

(D, Disregarding Canon)- I disregard that Mello was a gigantic L fanboy like he was portrayed to be in the Another Note book.... which kinda sucks, because I definitely relate to that version of him more. But I just think it goes against the manga characterization of Mello, who never once thinks about L again after the Wammy’s scene, and who was so determined to do everything his own way. And the manga is the original/best version of everything to me

BEYOND:

(A, Realistic)- he chose the victims for his case whose lifespans would run out on the fated days simply because he knew those were the only people who would actually successfully die when he tried to kill them

(B, Not Realistic but Hilarious)- sometimes I think it’s funny to imagine that L was lying to Mello and Naomi the whole time about never having met B, and that B was just his massively embarrassing ex trying to get passive-aggressive revenge on him. At least that explains how B knew all that stuff about what L actually looked like

(C, Heart-Crushing)- imagine planning your entire life and death around one-upping someone who doesn’t even remember you existed 2 years down the road. That’s the worst joke on B ever, and one of the funniest things that came from the manga being written before the LABB book

(D, Disregarding Canon)- I disregard the mistranslation in the English version of the LABB book that says Wammy’s knew about B’s shinigami eyes because that creates too many plot holes for the manga storyline. If Wammy’s knew about B’s eyes then L would obviously know about them too

I wonder if Valentin listens to podcasts. 'Cause I've been listening to one lately and because voices are also a Big Thing for me it's been killing me (in a good way) and... Yeah! No, but I thought about it for some time now. I’m not entirely sure what kind of podcasts I would like, but I’m open to suggestions ^^

There are voices I could listen to for hours and I probably would gladly listen to them reading the most boring manuals, haha. Yes, voices are indeed pretty important to me (in several ways).
