New emeto audio from yours truly🫡 this one sounds different than my other audios because I did have to make myself throw up, which I never do. Coffee sometimes upsets my stomach so I will take a caffeine pill in the morning to get the caffeine equivalent of a cup of coffee without the upset stomach. I was getting my meds sorted in their pill containers and accidentally took the caffeine pill before bed. I realized it immediately. As far as med mistakes go, that one was harmless except for the fact that I wouldn’t sleep and Ro needs her beauty rest, it’s non negotiable, so I did stick fingers down my throat to barf it up so I could go to bed😇
Thank you, endometriosis, for showing me exactly what I will look like when I’m pregnant.
(No, this isn’t an exaggeration, and if I must prove it with endo belly pics I will)
Should Ro post the belly pics
Yes (I’m a slut for tummies)
Yes (I am not a slut for tummies but I wanna see anyways)
I had SUCH a bad bellyache last night but oh my god was it such a turn on. I went to sleep feeling fine and woke up about an hour and a half later with the worst nauseous, twisting pain in my tummy. I sat up in bed and put a hand on my belly and was wracking my brain about why I was feeling so sick. I’m not sure if this was it or not, but I thought about the sandwich I had before bed and gave me a big lurch in my belly and I ended up covering my mouth and dry-heaving against my hand. I took that as I sign to go sit in the bathroom, and even though I was wrapped in a a blanket, I was shivering head to toe. My stomach just ached so bad, it was honestly miserable in the moment. I leaned over the toilet with my mouth open when I would feel the nausea rise in my belly, but nothing ended up ever coming up. I was just burping hard and gagging over and over. Usually when I feel sick to my stomach, it’s honestly more normal for me to puke instead of having lots of nausea but no puke. Sometimes when I have hours straight of pure 10/10 nausea, I wish I could just puke and get everything up and feel better. Half the time that how it works for me, which is why I really welcome puking because it means I’m gonna feel better soon. This wasn’t one of those times, and I spent hours laying on my side and sitting up to lean over the bowl thinking I was finally going to get something up, only for it not to happen and the nausea to be unrelenting. I was eventually able to go lay back down in bed but spent the rest of the night burping and rubbing my belly because it hurt so bad. I’m feeling better today, there have been a few times where the bellyache flared back up but for the most part I feel okay.
Got a bedtime belly ache and dry-heaved until I felt better, I’m laying in bed with my tummy still a bit upset and wondering if I’m gonna need to go back to puke soon
Every once in a while if I’m not feeling great I will put a little bit of baking soda in water and drink it. This is usually when all else has failed and I’m trying it as a last resort, but it does typically make me feel better. However tonight I chugged my nasty baking soda cocktail and I IMMEDIATELY got the most insane feeling in my stomach, like extremely bubbly as if I had swallowed pop rocks whole. That’s when I realized that I’d eaten a FUCKING ORANGE EARLIER and the baking soda and citrus are now foaming up inside my stomach. I don’t feel nauseous but I am burping SO much. Obviously this is a home remedy I will probably be steering clear from now, unless I’m really in a lot of discomfort and I haven’t eaten anything acidic. Ro does NOT want to turn into an elementary science class baking soda and vinegar volcano.
An IRL caretaking experience has graced me with its presence😌
So, I have been seeing a new man (let’s call him C? Better name pending). He is a lovely, sweet, well-rounded person, and being with him has been so so healing to me after the shitshow of my last relationship. We grew up together (listen… small town, what can I say) and he is home for the next few months in between his work seasons. I actually cannot gush about him enough. He really gets me and I am already feeling the anticipatory grief of him leaving after the holidays and our relationship ending. It’s a very hallmark movie time I am having where the main character comes back home for Christmas (him) and reconnects with an old flame from their quaint but cute home town (me) except they don’t end up together because he needs to go back to his insane, exciting life far away from where we grew up. Ugh ugh ugh. A younger Ro would beg him to pack me in his suitcase and go with the flow of wherever life takes us. Right-now Ro knows that the thing I need most is rest, healing, and stability, and for now that means being home with my friends and family, staying cozy in my little apartment with my cats, and doing the job that I love. But onto the hurt/comfort of this story because I know that’s what yall actually wanna hear about😆
We had just spent the evening driving around our little town looking at Christmas lights and were back at my apartment having some passionate debate about a silly topic (I think birdwatching?) when I started to feel faint. I have had cardiac issues since I was a kid and fainting spells have been a part of my life since then, but I actually did not see this particular faint coming. I was feeling perfectly fine when all of a sudden I felt my heart rate skyrocket out of nowhere and my vision get blurry. I clutched at my chest in response, which made him immediately pause the conversation and ask if I was okay. I do not remember what I said in response as I was gently picked up and lowered to the ground by him, which was very proactive and I applaud him for recognizing the signs that Ro needs to Be On The Floor Right Now Pleaseandthankyou. I was still awake at this point but my heart rate was high and I was having trouble keeping my eyes open. I heard him say, “I’m gonna grab some water real quick.” Now, whenever someone had gotten water while I’ve been having a fainting spell, the water has always been for me. So when I heard him grab a glass for my cupboard, fill it with water, and then chug it in 3 seconds flat, I burst out laughing. Obviously he was probably feeling nervous and needed to regulate so he could be helpful through the rest of my medical episode, but good god that was fucking hilarious. And then he grabbed another glass and filled it with water for me😂 After that, he knelt down beside my head, and that is when I passed fully out for a few seconds. I woke up on my right side with one hand on my shoulder and his other hand cupping my forehead. The “coming to” moment is always really uncomfortable for me and I think I moaned out loud in pain because I heard him say, “I know, it’s okay, you’re alright.” When I was alert and talking again he carried me to the couch and very gently set me down, and I laid my head in his lap and waited for my brain to reboot. I told him afterwards that he handled it very well, especially since we had never had the “what to do if Ro passes out” conversation. He’s known about my illness since I first got sick as a kid, so I assumed that he had been around me during a faint at least once before. I was really surprised when he told me that he had never witnessed any kind of medical episode of mine before, because he handled it like he knew what he was doing. It’s also bonkers to me the amount of time we spent together as kids that somehow never overlapped with the amount of time little Ro spent wiped out on the floor (it took awhile to get diagnosed and an even longer time to find a cardiologist who knew what they were doing, and at that point I had been fainting left and right for almost half a decade). Somehow, over all these years we’ve know each other, C did not witness a Ro faint with his own two eyes until our mid-twenties. Even then, he was probably the calmest about it as anyone can be. I adore him 🥺
