Naruto sees Iruka for the first time while he’s buying groceries, alone apparently, Naruto storms into the shop, walking towards the aisle he’d seen his sensei.
“Iruka-sensei!” Naruto shouts as he appears next to him.
Even after two and a half years, Naruto still has the same voice and face, just a little bit more mature. He only got taller and changed his clothes.
“Oh, Naruto!” Iruka smiles at the boy, looking around for a moment. “When did you come back?”
“This morning! I was looking for you, I have to tell you all the cool things I learned!” Naruto was practically jumping on his feets, hands curled into fists in excitement and a smile bright on his face.
He started rambling right away about his training trip, the new jutsu he picked up and how he finally got to spar with some super strong guys out there. Iruka-sensei listened with a warm smile, nodding along and looking genuinely proud.
Just then, you came up from behind, still focused on the shopping list in your hand. “Iruka, honey, how many tomatoes do we need?” you asked, not even noticing Naruto right there or your boyfriend trying to wave you down from the end of the aisle to stop you.
Naruto’s head snapped toward you so fast. His blue eyes went wide, a huge grin spreading even bigger across his face. “Sensei!” he yelled, super happy. “You’re here too! Wow, it’s been forever! You look great!”
You blinked, finally spotting him, and a little laugh slipped out. But before you could say much, Naruto’s brain seemed to catch up with what he’d just heard. His mouth dropped open, eyes darting between you and Iruka-sensei and then he gasped loudly.
“Iruka-sensei, you did it!” Naruto shouted, loud enough that a couple other shoppers glanced over. He pointed at Iruka with both hands, practically vibrating with joy. “You finally told her! Oh man, I’m so happy for you two right now! I kept doing everything to get you together, I can’t believe it worked!”
Iruka’s face turned a deep red. “Naruto, not so loud in the store,” he muttered.
“Oh, really?” you asked at Naruto, crossing your arms. “I didn’t know you were my little cupid, Iruka never told me.”
Naruto puffed out his chest like he’d just saved the village all over again. “Yeah! I was the best wingman ever! I kept swapping your seating charts so you’d have to sit next to each other during big teacher meetings!”
He was talking so fast, hands waving everywhere. “I knew you two would be perfect together! Iruka-sensei had the biggest crush on you for like... forever! Way before I even started helping!”
Iruka wanted to leave, he wanted the grocery store floor to swallow him whole. He kept glancing at you, trying to find any type of expression in your face. “Naruto, that’s enough,” he said quickly, voice a little higher than usual.
You raised an eyebrow, turning toward your boyfriend with a playful smile. “Iruka, you never told me it started that long ago.”
He avoided your eyes for a second as he stared really hard at the tomatoes you were still holding. “I… well, it wasn’t exactly something I planned to bring up right away,” he admitted softly, a shy little laugh escaping him. When he saw Naruto opening his mouth again, he stopped him himself “Okay, I think that’s enough. We’ll catch up later, Naruto.” Then he turned to you. “That’s the perfect amount of tomatoes, let’s go.”
He grabs your hand, taking you out of the aisle and of the conversation.
“Bye, senseis!” Naruto waved at you both, completely unbothered.
You don’t bring up the topic until he does, late at night, cuddling in bed with you. You’re completely on top of him, cheek resting in his chest and acting like a weighted blanket to him. He’s scratching your back and every once in a while one of you makes a little comment.
“Naruto didn’t help me at all to court you, okay? I did it all by myself,” he points out after a long silence, obviously bothered about the impression you had of him.
You laugh into his chest, pressing a kiss between his pecs. “Iruka, I know. You started courting me, as you say, after Naruto left.”
“Exactly!” He holds his hands up and flops them to his sides. “I love that kid but sometimes he’s so…”
Iruka doesn’t want to finish that sentence so he just sighs as you wrap your arms around him a little bit tighter, pulling up so your faces are very close to each other. You smile softly, your fingers tracing lazy circles over his collarbone as you hover above him.
“Honey,” you whisper, brushing a stray lock of hair from his forehead. “I never even realized Naruto was trying to help you. I loved being around you and how you always looked out for me.”
“I still do,” he relaxes a little under you, his hands settling on your waist as he searches your face. You lean in and press a sweet kiss to his lips.
“I know. I love you,” you whisper. “Naruto can brag all he wants, but we both know how this really happened.”
Iruka’s eyes soften completely, he cups your cheek with one hand, thumb stroking your skin. “I love you too,” he says quietly. “More than I’ve ever loved anyone.”
You settle back down against his chest, but this time you tilt your head up so you can keep looking at him. He keeps scratching your back in soothing strokes, the room feels perfectly quiet except for the steady beat of his heart under your ear. Every now and then he presses a kiss to the top of your head and you respond by snuggling closer, tangling your legs with his.
Summary: During a risqué rendez-vous with Kakashi, he loses himself and goes a bit too far. He leaves you upset and you get pepped up by local sweetheart, Iruka Umino. When he gets back, Kakashi is miffed, but who is he to get in the way of a smile he'd never seen so bright?

Something pained you, in the pit of your chest and on your left buttcheek.
You didn't even want to look at him while you put your clothes on. But, then again, why would you want to look at him, right now?
The lights flickered on and you turned your head sharply away from him. The tears that teetered on your waterline were ready to fall, but they could be held back if you just didn't look at him - easier said than done.
"I was-"
"I have to go," you said quickly, standing up as you pulled on your skirt.
The words he was forming caught in his throat and Kakashi started again, "Where-"
"Home," you nipped. "My house."
"Okay," he said slowly.
And that was that.
He let you leave with no resistance, because why wouldn't he? Why would he notice something being wrong with you, let alone inquire? Why would he sprinkle a smidge more care into your regular arrangement after smacking you around like he never had before?
It was like he hated you.
Ah, fuck, he probably did the entire time - you were just too fucking dumb to pick up on it. Even though you weren't properly in a relationship with him, your stupid ass deluded yourself into thinking he actually kind of liked you. And it took you until he smacked your ass so hard that he drew blood to realize he never actually would? Ha! What a desperate, loveless bitch - absolutely fucking pitiful beyond belief!
You were thanking the stars that he was sent out on a long-haul mission the very next day.
You wouldn't have to see him for a while.
Which meant you could forgive yourself for how stupid you had been, while your asscheek healed.
But, you refused to forget. You couldn't forget.
How could you forget how fucking idiotic you were? Sharp as a fucking marble, you stupid cunt. How-
Every night, for weeks, just before you closed your eyes, that voice in your head would make you cry. It would say awful things, just to make you sob so hard that you would pass out for the night. You'd wake up with your eyes practically glued shut, which only ever made you feel worse.
It was like you were an alcoholic, but you had swapped booze for a deeply rooted self-hatred.
You were drowning in your sadness, almost willfully, for weeks. Only the veil of mortality separated you from a ghost as you floated hither and tither, around the village, alone, for weeks.
Weeks.
Drowning, until you met a lifeguard.
"Baking something sweet, soon?" Iruka asked you with a dazzling smile as you held a sack of sugar in the middle of a refinery.
"Oh, no," you replied, staring at his grin as if it were foreign. "I drink a lot of sencha."
"Cripes," he chortled easily. "You'll get a few cups out of that sack, eh?"
Unbelievably, you found a small chuckle coming from your throat. You tore your eyes away from his mouth and, in a softer voice, you hummed, "Maybe a few... but something sweet would be nice, wouldn't it?"
"Well, I'm quite the baker, if you ever want a hand," Iruka said without edge.
You took him up, and he had asked you on a date before the cookies were in the oven, the next day.
With as sweet of a voice as you could muster, you told him you couldn't - that you were quite interested - but you couldn't, not yet.
Iruka smiled, to your surprise, and told you that was just fine, that he would wait for you.
Smartly, you didn't believe him. You readied yourself to see him on the town with someone else soon. Of course, you hoped and prayed that Iruka wouldn't let you down, that he wasn't just trying to get something on, but you didn't let yourself delude yourself again.
Instead of letting you down, Iruka began to build you up.
He took you out, all over the village, palling around - to izakayas, to plays, to open valleys, to the simple market square. Iruka never tried to hide you - no - he flaunted his friendship with you, like you were desirable.
It was very unlike another man, who had made sure to keep your meetings absolutely secret, who had only ever wanted to fuck you for entire evenings then act like a regular stranger in the day.
So, when Iruka asked you on another date, a month and change into your blossoming friendship, you took him up happily. That said, your smile couldn't have rivalled his, as it stretched ear to ear.
"Really?" He asked in a light voice. "Are you sure?"
"I'm really sure," you grinned.
Finally, you and Iruka were going steady.
He took you on date after date, though they only felt slightly different to the old hangs. You took that as a comfort, because you two had properly become friends before you had done anything even slightly risqué.
That was the obvious difference between your two most recent relationships; Iruka waited ages to touch you. And, when he did, he was sweet, calm, like he had a goal other than his own release in mind. There was no pain.
You liked it.
You liked it so much that your mind wholly shifted, got calmer, less painful.
..••°°°°••..
"Would you rather broccoli or cauliflower tonight?" Iruka asked gently as he rose from the table set the two of you were sitting at.
"Probably broccoli, unless you were hoping I'd say cauliflower," you murmured with a small grin.
Iruka smiled and took a step toward you. He leaned down to kiss the tip of your nose, humming, "Broccoli sounds wonderful."
You leaned up to connect your lips with his. His smile grew as his lips pressed against yours.
"You're wonderful," you replied as Iruka straightened. "What can I-"
"Don't worry about it, sweetheart," he chuckled, walking over to the kitchen. "It'll be an easy dinner tonight; let me serve you like you deserve."
Blood rushing to your face bashfully, you snickered a small curse and shook your head.
Then, there was a frantic knock on Iruka's door.
He poked his head out of the kitchen, eyebrows furrowed. "Could you...?"
"Yeah-" You were cut off by another series of knocks, now even more solid.
Face contorted in confusion, you went over to the door. Iruka went back into the kitchen and you could hear the faucet run. Just as another round of knocks rattled the doorframe, you screwed the doorknob right and swung open the door.
"Umino, we-" Kakashi's wide eye got impossibly wider as it jumped around your face. "What... Why aren't you...?"
For some reason, he couldn't choke anything out. Typical.
"Why am I not what?" You scoffed. With a roll, your eyes landed on Guy, behind Kakashi, and you smiled sardonically at him, "Hello, by the way."
"Hi," he replied meekly, before Kakashi stood in front of him.
He was trying to get your eyes on him, but you leveled your head to stare straight through his chest.
"Why are you here?" Kakashi asked critically, like he had anything to be mad about.
"I'm spending the night with Iruka," you remarked with a slight contempt. "And why the fuck are you here?"
It was a great question; one that Kakashi seemed to not have an answer for. He seemed to be particularly tongue-tied today. In the beat of silence, you looked up at the silver haired shinobi.
His face was unreadable, as per fucking usual. The only thing that gave you any inkling of how he felt in the moment was the sound of his breath.
He was breathing so shallowly, you thought he was hardly drawing breath at all.
"Well?" You prompted, your voice coming out a bit more hollowly than you would have liked. "Do you want me to get Iru-"
"No," Kakashi said heavily. "It's fine."
"Peachy." With a slight nod, you took a step back from the door. "Alright, then, uh... you two have a... a night."
"Thanks," he spat, coal black eye turning even darker.
You shut the door as politely as you could and then sighed as deeply as you needed to. When you turned, you were met with Iruka in the kitchen's doorframe, a frown etched on his face.
Perhaps you and Iruka needed to have a chat...
• • • • • • •
"Have a night?" He scoffed for the fifteenth time. "Have a fucking night? What the fuck does that even mean?"
"It means you shouldn't drink yourself into alcohol poisoning tonight," Guy reasoned, pulling the blue bottle away from Kakashi. "What's this? Bottle number four? Don't you want to wake up tomorrow?"
"No," Kakashi said bitterly.
Guy just sighed, sliding the unfinished sake bottle to the other end of the table, "I don't understand what the issue is. She was missing, then we found her - you still haven't even told me why you thought she was missing in the first place, when she was just at her boyfriend's-"
"He's not her boyfriend," Kakashi interjected tersely.
Guy delivered a flat look. "She wouldn't spend the night with someone who wasn't her boyfriend."
Kakashi knew that wasn't entirely true, but he pursed his lips to keep from telling Guy about the innumerable nights you had spent together.
He didn't want you to be known as someone who would spend the night with someone who wasn't her boyfriend; that was a reputation blow you didn't need.
Instead, he simply stated, "She never called him her boyfriend. It was just, Iruka."
"Woah, Kakashi," Guy chuckled playfully, though a flash of seriousness darted behind his eye. "Why are you saying his name like he's your rival? Shouldn't we be happy that poor, virgin, Iruka is finally getting some action?"
The thought made his skin crawl and Kakashi thought he understood what his issue was.
He hated the image of someone else touching you.
Oh, selfish, sure - but laughable. You weren't his, he had no claim over you. Stars, what a fool, so whipped over some puss - he was swimming in muff.
Why did he even limit himself to you in the first place?
Well... because you had a different kind of pussy... the kind of pussy that coaxed wild amounts of cum out of Kakashi... the kind of pussy that no other bitch could attain with any amount of kegel exercise... the kind of pussy that Kakashi could get lost in for hours, then could bring him back just as fantastically.
He wanted you bouncing on his cock, and his cock, alone.
"Hello, Earth to," Guy snipped, snapping his fingers in front of Kakashi's unfocused eye. Kakashi looked at him seriously and Guy sighed, leaning over the table, "You really aren't happy for Iruka, huh? Why?"
"I am," Kakashi lied, though poorly. So poorly that it threw him off. "I just... she should... she was my medic."
"She was reassigned to a different grouping years ago," the dark haired man laughed. "You haven't seen her as a medic in forever. Actually, I didn't even know you two saw each other outside of assignments-"
"Well, we did," Kakashi snapped as he reached for that goddamn bottle of sake.
°°••....••°°
He put in a mission request the very next day, after he scraped himself out of bed. Kakashi was told he was on the top of the list, but there was nothing to his standard available - he asked to be put in the next group that was leaving that day for some shit B-rank mission - of course, the Hokage allowed it, though a bit confused.
On the mission, Kakashi fucked the other jonin in the group; a kunoichi named Aina.
She couldn't get him there - he had to think about you. He had to cover her mouth to conjure your perfect whimpers and moans in his mind as he screwed his eyes shut so tightly that they hurt.
He got no sleep that night, but not because he was having so much fun that he didn't want it to end. He told Aina to get going immediately, then tossed and turned, and paced, all around the inn room he had rented for himself.
He was so mad that you had ruined other women for him that he pushed the team to complete the mission within the day.
They were back in the Leaf before supper, just for the entire group to see you and Iruka heading back to the village as well, baskets of wild berries and flowers on your arm and his.
You didn't see the group - didn't see Kakashi - being so absorbed in whatever apparently hilarious story Iruka was telling.
Fuck - Kakashi was ready to start pulling is hair out by the root.
That was what you wanted? Flowers and berries and terrible stories? He could have given you that!
Why did Iruka get to give you flowers? Why did he get to spend whole nights with you?
Why didn't you ever ask to do that with Kakashi?
Just seeing you smile at Iruka, Kakashi knew he wasn't mad at Iruka for stealing his girl, or at you for pushing him away.
He was mad at himself for never realizing that you didn't look at him like that. He was mad at himself for convincing himself that you might have liked him as more than as just a fuck.
He wanted to get to love you, and he wanted you to love him.
Summary: Naruto has finally return from his three-year training with Jiraiya, but his mom is just nowhere to be found.
This is based on my mother-Figure! Reader x Naruto head cannons. I’m not very used to writing in this format, so let me know if you prefer the bullet points or this! Also, slight spoilers to the actual show if you haven’t fully watched it or don’t know who Naruto’s parents are. This isn't proof-read or anything so there may be errors.

Konoha was quite peaceful after the neighborhood troublemaker had left to train with the sage. There was of course a teary goodbye between Naruto and the person who practically raised him, so when Naruto returned, of course he would want to see his mother, which seemed to be an impossible task. Since his return in the early morning, he has seen everyone, but Iruka and his mother and he was starting to get frustrated when everyone he asked said “(Y/N) is probably with Iruka, they are always together these days.” Which was even more frustrating because he was sure news of his return has already reached your ears and should be waiting for him with open arms.
Out in the surrounding forest completely unaware of Naruto’s return was the female in question wearing long pale-yellow sundress that complemented your (S/T) with your hair in a low bun and a couple strands framing your face. Next to you was the brunette ninja with the scar across his face in his typical ninja clothing setting up the picnic for their lunch date. You and Iruka have been together for almost two years before Naruto’s return and on the path to get married if Iruka manned up. “Sweetheart, have I told you that dress look amazing?” Iruka says as he finishes setting up the picnic and sitting down so that he is looking up. You blush softly and smiled, “Yes, at least 10 times already.” You rolled your eyes and joined the ninja before helping him pull out some of the food out of the basket. The food consisted of two bento boxes that consisted of 2 tuna rice balls, mozzarella and tomato skewers, and a fruit salad and a bottle of sake for the two to share. This was a common occurrence every week that the two would go out to lunch together and spend the entire afternoon together basking in the rare quiet moments.
You looked down at your food, picking at it before saying, “Naruto should be back soon.”
Iruka nods, “Yea, he should. I know he is going to be so excited to see you and take all your time away from me!” He pouts lightly. You laugh lightly and raise your eyebrow looking at Iruka, “Are you jealous of Naruto?” You teasingly ask while setting your bento down ready to tackle to the man in front of you. He blushed heavily at the inclination of being jealous of Naruto, “Maybe I am. Afterall he got to spend all those years with you uninterrupted!” He crosses his arms and pouts theatrically. You smile widely laughing before, you suddenly charged at him and tackling him to the ground. His hand instinctively grabbed at your waist.
“Now, Now, is this not uninterrupted time with me?” you asked smugly as you get closer to his face. Iruka started to stutter out an answer before you decided to save him from his embarrassment by kissing him. Your soft lips slowly caress his slightly chapped lips in a rhythmic dance. Before he could even process you were kissing him, you pulled away with a smile and looked into his brown irises which only showed love and devotion to you. He leaned back in giving you a proper kiss and his hand tighten around your waist before pulling you back into to him to deepen the kiss unaware of the approaching blonde who realized that neither of you were in the village!
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY MOM- YA KNOW”
You both jolted away from the sudden voice, wide-eyed and dark blushes covering both of your faces. You looked towards the voice and gasped with tears brimming in your (e/c) eyes as you stare at Naruto unable to process that he was home. The resemblance to your brother was uncanny and Minato’s name almost slipped out instead of Naruto. You stood up and rushed to the young blonde placing your hands on his cheeks to really ground yourself back into reality. “Naruto…” Tears starting to fall as you caress his face before pulling him into yourself for a bone crushing hug. “Phat doesn’t uhnswer my queshion. Mphat were you shoing wit Iruka-shenshi?” You sighed and pulling his face away from you, “Can we talk about that later?” Naruto shakes his head and Iruka comes up behind the two resting his hand in the small of your back. You and Iruka had a silent conversation, before turning to Naruto.
“Well Naruto… With your permission, I would like to continue seeing (Y/N).” Iruka asks even though knowing no matter what Naruto said, you two would continue to see each other.
“Well, aren’t you seeing her right now! - ya know!” You both sighed, “Naruto, Me and Iruka are dating. We have been for the past two years.” The look of shock and betrayal on his face was evident as he looked between the two of you.
“WHAAAAA” Iruka and you flinched at his tone as Naruto leaves your embrace still in shock at the sudden news. “Me and you are goanna have a talk” Naruto said pointing between him and Iruka. Iruka nodded at Naruto declaration and laughed a little.
I guess Iruka would have wait to ask you to marry him as he feels the box in his pocket.
you slip into the classroom on your lunch break, hoping to catch him alone. sure enough, iruka is completely enveloped in grading while the students eat in the cafeteria.
"i've got a surprise for you," you singsong as you hold the bento box up.
he sits back and you see the stress of the day melt off him as he takes you in. you come up from behind him, setting the box on the desk and leaning down to wrap your arms around his chest, your chin tucked into his shoulder.
"what would i do without you?"
you press a kiss against the scar across his nose. "i hope you never have to find out."
Hi Saki!!! Hope you're well! If you're up for it can I please request a gn!reader with iruka love confession with the prompt "I thought you knew you've always been my favorite". If not no worries and have a good day!
i thought you knew you've always been my favorite
pairing: iruka umino x disabled!reader
cw: fluff, reader uses a wheelchair— both of their legs were amputated. one below the knees while the other was fully amputated because of a mishap during a mission.
a/n: hi my dear anon! it's nice to see you back, how are you doing? thanks for the request and i hope you don't mind me making the reader disabled. i am very sorry if i have made any mistakes regarding disabled people and if you, as a disabled person, find anything written under the cut offensive or simply wrong please bring it to my attention with the correct way to write it so that i don't make the same mistakes again. again, if you like it then please, reblog.
channeling your chakra in the wheels of your wheelchair, you made your way towards the staff room. you greeted the teachers you met in the corridors who sent you warm smiles and nods of acknowledgement and good mornings.
as soon as you reached the doors, you leaned forward to open the door only for someone to pull the handle from the opposite side. dark eyes landed down on you, making them shine with joy upon seeing you. a smile adorned his lips as he opened the door wider for your wheelchair to fit inside.
"name-sensei! good morning. how are you doing?" iruka enquires, forgetting the reason for which he had opened the door in the first place.
"good morning, iruka-sensei. i am just fine, how are you doing? how is that burn naruto caused the other day?"
chuckling he waved his hand, deeming the burn insignificant. "it's nothing (name), i have dealt with worse."
"i know but you should really keep that prankster in check." a fond smile made its way to your lips which always happens when you think about the little blond.
"do you think i haven't tried? but that little menace never listens." he sighs. "and frankly, i can't really get mad at him for too long. he's only a kid."
nodding your head, smile still in place you silently agree with the brunet. it really is hard to retain your anger for long when it comes to naruto. he is just too adorable, especially when he gives a foxy childish apologetic smile.
you were too busy in your musings that you failed to notice the change in iruka's demeanor. flicking his eyes between you and his fingers he contemplated if asking you out on a date would be a good decision or not. not one to take risks and the last person to ever even think about making someone uncomfortable, he had his doubts regarding you. he was half sure you would say no. but the other half was hopeful.
never lose hope. and always believe in yourself.
he had heard these lines quite a lot since he had met the young uzumaki. what was the harm in trying? besides you were an understanding and mature individual, surely you would handle it as such.
but as soon as he finished repeating his half-assed positive affirmations to himself, the bell rang, indicating the start of the school and the first class for the children waiting to learn some new ninja tricks.
———
it wasn't breaking news to anybody that iruka was head over heels in love with you. in fact the whole school faculty as well as the other jonin teachers were aware of iruka's long term crush on you.
well calling it a crush makes it sound embarrassing and pathetic. for god's sake you two were adults. but all in all it was common knowledge to everyone….. except you.
cliché, i know. but it's cliché for a reason because dumbasses like you both exist in abundance.
like yeah sure iruka was always ready to help you without you even opening your mouth for help. sure he always sat next to you in between classes and during lunch breaks. sure he always waited for you and even stayed back after school just because you had paperwork to do. he was free to go and free to spend his free time doing whatever he wants instead of wasting his time in that same, old building, helping you with the same old school work he just got free from. but for him it wasn't a waste of time. he genuinely likes spending his free hours with you because you made him happy. sure he offered to spend time after school and "hang out" together, always making plans to see you more often rather than just restricting it to staff room and corridors. sure he was always a listening ear when you were frustrated and tired because teaching is a hard job and teachers don't get nearly appreciated enough. sure he was one of the first people to help you when you first started using wheelchairs and having amputated legs was still fairly new to you.
but that's just because iruka umino is an amazing human being. rare to find. with a big heart, who is ready to help anyone in need. who is hard working and takes his job seriously and cares about each one of his students even though there isn't always something he can do for certain children. iruka who's heart aches when he sees how cruel the shinobi world can be—especially to the kids. iruka who makes you laugh and smile even when he is hurting himself just because seeing you laugh with him fills the void in his heart, to the point he almost forgets about the world around him. it's just you and him at that time.
but these feelings weren't just exclusive to him. you weren't a stranger to these lovesick emotions that clog your mind every morning as you get ready for work and every night before you hit the bed. if someone were to actually observe you when iruka rambled about something to you, they would surely notice big red hearts in your irises.
you were just as much in love with your colleague as he was with you if not more. but the feelings were kept hidden inside for you both felt your they were unrequited.
kakashi, kurenai and asuma often facepalmed when it came to you both because yes, it was so damn obvious. but they didn't dare interfere because they wanted this love story to grow and blossom on its own.
———
you had decided to do some grocery shopping today and also treat yourself with some good food at a fancy restaurant. you had really tough weeks this last month and had worked tirelessly on multiple things without breaks.
looking around the hustling and bustling streets of konoha, your wandering gaze landed on iruka. eyes sparkling upon seeing your lover boy *ahem* friend, yeah friend, you channeled more chakra to your wheels in order to reach towards him faster.
the wheels stopped rotating though as the chakra connection broke. eyes losing their shine and your smile dropping, your brain registered the scene in front of you.
iruka, with someone else, in a very close proximity, laughing about something together. that someone else's hands landed on his bicep. and the worst part? iruka didn't seem to mind it one bit. in fact you saw him indulge them more with his sense of humour that was the reason for so many of your smiles.
you had seen enough. it was enough to break your heart as well as the fantasies you had sown in your brain when you laid on your bed, that you hoped could be true someday. it was a faint, silly hope but at least it was alive. well, not anymore it isn't.
backtracking the wheelchair, you slowly and gloomily made your way back to your apartment. grocery bags on your lap and all plans of that fancy meal thrown to the trash bin and now forgotten. you weren't in the mood anymore.
"(name)!" iruka yelled as he came running towards your retreating form.
"hey! it's good to see you here. i was actually about to come to your place." he smiled, as if you didn't just find him flirting with that someone else.
"why?" your answer came out dull and dry, unlike your usually cheery and indulging replies. iruka seemed to notice the shift in energy but decided to shrug it off.
smiling shyly and fiddling with his fingers, he let out a nervous laugh, "i was thinking maybe if you wanted to go to some fancy restaurant. it had been a very busy month for us teachers so i thought it wouldn't be bad if we decided to treat ourselves a little. besides you were the one who was burdened the most but you still managed to do everything flawlessly. you never fail to amaze me, (name)."
if it were any other time you would have been trying to hide a flustered smile upon hearing his sweet words but now they seemed to just hurt you more, sending another dagger through your already broken heart.
moving your chair slowly you moved ahead as iruka made his way behind you until you were away from the busy market street and now in a more secluded place.
"it's okay, iruka. it isn't really a big deal. besides i saw you were busy with someone else anyways. you shouldn't leave your partner alone like that you know, it's rude."
standing motionless, iruka blinked. it took him some time to chew and digest the words that you had just spewn.
"....what?"
scoffing and turning your head away from him you retort, "why do you act like i am talking like a mad man who doesn't know what he is saying? i have two functional eyes, you know. i can see."
"well clearly they aren't functional because you obviously can't see. if you just saw that person i was talking to and think that they are my "partner" let me tell you, that is anko, and she has a girlfriend. she is just a little touchy and flirty with everyone but it's harmless. we are just good friends and have been for years now. i am sure you have heard, interesting stories about our dear anko."
"she is that anko?" wide eyes stared at the man standing in front of you.
"indeed." he nodded, arms crossed.
"...oh." well now it was your turn to feel shy and embarrassed.
"(name), i thought you knew you've always been my favorite." iruka began. he didn't know where he found the courage to say something like that but his guts were telling, no, screaming at him that it's now or never and this sudden adrenaline rush seemed to course through his veins. "i thought i made it clear that it is you who i want. in fact, it has always been you."
swallowing the nerves that had started settling in and complying to your guts who were also screaming that it's now or never, you replied to his love confession too, courtesy to your adrenal gland pumping its hormone.
it was as if the universe had planned this all and things seem to work in a flow. you two were finally confessing the feelings manifesting inside for years now, out of nowhere.
“Hey Iruka?” You asked from the doorway of his office at the school, you were looking down at the stack of papers in your arms and trying to straighten them.
He looked up from the papers on his desk and when his eyes landed on you his cheeks were flushing. You always looked so beautiful, black skirt and white v neck blouse, you had on net stockings and the tip of a kunai stuck just barely out the bottom of your skirt from its place against your thigh. He gulped and tried to control his heart rate.
“What can I do for you, y/n?” He asked and stood from his desk, coming around to take some of the papers from you and help straighten.
You let out a huff and send a grateful smile up to him as you fix the messiness of the homework and mock reports.
“Thank you” you say softly as he puts the straightened stack back in your pile as he gives you a soft “you’re welcome” with a smile
“I was wondering if you wanted to get dinner with me tonight?” You ask with a flirty grin and he thinks his heart stops
“I.. I uh..” he swallows hard and smiles, goes to lean all suave like on the door frame but misses and ends up smacking the side of his head on it instead. Letting out an oof as he catches the doorframe with his opposite hand and stands up straight again.
“Yes I’d really like that” he says with a hint of embarrassment in his voice and on his cheeks.
You gesture for him to lean down and you reach up, your first knuckle underneath his chin and your thumb brushing his bottom lip just barely as you turn his head and kiss his temple where he slammed it into the wall.
“Meet me at ichiraku at six thirty” you say and he raises his hand to touch his temple as your hand falls away from his chin.
“I’ll be there” he says with a small smile and red cheeks as you nod once, smiling sweetly at him again and then turning and walking down the hallway back to your classroom.
He watches as you walked away, sighing softly with a smile as you look back and wave with a wink as you enter your room, before he turns and goes back to his desk, his heart fluttering and nerves settling in his belly where they would stay all day. Only dissipating when he sees you standing outside the shop, hair blowing in the breeze and a soft smile on your lips. Then the rock of anxiety in his stomach just, leaves, replaced by the sweet feeling your smile brings him.

oh, and i’d like a sfw matchup please! thank you so much! 💖
Asta! Thanks for participating. I’d choose Iruka for you because he’d love to take care of you and spend tons of time with you. Plus, I think he’s a romantic at heart as well!.
It didn't matter how many times you two had gone out. Every time you did it was a new adventure, a new memory, a new feeling. It brought joy to Iruka to know he had someone who wanted to rely on him. Together for two years, and he hadn't as much as heard you sniffle, except for the time you cried watching any Disney Movie. So when he thought you were sick he ran out to the store to buy you soup, crackers, ginger ale, popsicles, cold medicine, cough drops and anything else he could think of to make you feel better.
He came bringing in the two bags of grocery, and when you started to help him put away the items, he stopped you immediately.
“No, you cannot. You need to sit and rest.” He sat you down on the couch and put a blanket on you. You sat down blinking your eyes, unsure of what he was thinking.
“Iruka, what is all this for?” You asked him with a hint of amusement in your tone.
“You’re sick, I heard you sniffling earlier and I need to take care of you.” He admitted to you as he got to work making you some homemade soup.
“I am not sick, I have allergies.” You laughed, I just ran out of my allergy meds and haven’t taken them. You planted a kiss on his cheek.
“It is good to know that you’d take care of me, if needed.” You reassured him. You knew you were in good hands
Could you please write a story where Iruka is on a date with y/n who was originally his student? It leads to them being in a closed room leading to sex?
Of course! I need more Iruka content tbh, I love this man. Also I realize now that I didnt *technically* write an NSFW piece for this, but I still like it, so I hope thats okay. I love you💕-🦎

===============================
"Wow. You look. Just. Wow." Iruka stammered, watching you step down from the end of the staircase outside your apartment. You had asked him to accompany you to this party a while ago, after seeing him a few times around the village. Truth is, you'd thought he was incredibly attractive since you studied under him, but that was so long ago, and now the 6 year age difference seemed so small. As you walked up to him, you smiled brightly.
"I could say the same for you, Iruka. You look amazing." You said, reaching forward to undo the top button in his button down, and placing your hands on his shoulders. "But, its not that formal, try to relax, hun."
He blushes slightly, sometimes it was easy to forget how young you used to be. The way your hips rounded out beneath your jeans, not to mention the way you filled out that wine red low-cut blouse. Wait. Inappropiate. He shakes his head, freeing the thought from his brain. It was just a party.
"I- well, we should get going." He stammers, still blushing at his thoughts. You smiled and grabbed his arm, walking towards the party. On the way there, you two fell into conversation about the old days, how clumsy you had been, and how different life was now. He found himself relaxing in your presence, and a little caught up on how much chemistry was there. Was that weird? It shouldnt be, right?
"Honestly, Ive thought about getting back in contact with you for a while, Iruka. Its been, what? Like 8 years now?" You said and he nodded. 8 years. How life has changed.
"Yeah. Seems like forever since you were that 12 year old, still tripping over her feet and begging me to take you under my wing." He laughed at your blush. Even then you had a huge crush on him. You were stunned when you came back from your 2 year mission and he was still single. Who wouldnt love this man?
You two came up to the house, hearing the music thudding inside. It probably wasnt his scene, but you didnt want to come alone. You pulled him inside, and grabbed a beer as soon as you got in the door. He smiled as you cheerfully greeted everyone, you were always a social butterfly. He grabbed a beer of his own, and downed it quickly, this amount of people was going to take some liquid courage.
You pulled him into the kitchen and smiled, finishing your drink, and quickly grabbing a second. You didnt want to show it, but you were a little nervous.
"Not really your comfort zone, is it, Iruka?" You ask over the music. He smiles at you and takes another drink of his own.
"Not usually, but I couldnt turn down an ivite to be your date." He replied, and you blushed deeply. He was so sweet, dammit. You finished your second drink and grabbed his hand.
"Lets go dance!" You said, pulling him into the next room, his face flushed with surprise. Dance? He couldnt dance? But as you swayed your hips, and moved his arms with you own, he found himself enjoying it. Must be the booze. He spun you, and watched as your hair floated in the air. Youve become so beautiful, a butterfly from a catterpillar. After about 5 songs, you two collapsed on the couch in laughter, everyone around you chattering, a few claps from the show of you two swaying in time to the music. You didnt let go of his hand once, and as you sat down on the couch, you felt the bit of alcohol in you, and leaned you head on his shoulder. He ran his thumb over your hand, showing you that this was okay.
"Iruka?"
"Yes, Y/N?"
"I.... Well. Um. Could you get me another drink?" You asked, giving up on the real reason for your disruption of the moment. Not enough courage, I suppose. You just needed a moment to think.
"Sure." He smiled, and stood up, leaving you on the couch by yourself for a moment. But his spot was soon replaced by another. You looked up at this new company in confusion.
"Hey, sexy. Saw you dancing earlier, you could do better than that dweeb." He said, his words slurring together and his hand found a spot on your thigh. You shoved it off in disgust. "Aw cmon baby, dont be like that."
And suddenly this mans lips were on your neck. You sat stunned for a minute, and before you had any reaction, the hot smell of alcohol from his lips were ripped away from you.
"I-Iruka?" You asked, taking in the face in front of you. He had the collar of the man in his tight clenched fists, and he was giving him a look so poisonous it could kill an army.
"You keep your filthy hands off her, asshole." He said, and the man on the other end smirked for a second, right before Iruka's fist met his face. The rest of the party was staring now, as the man crumpled for a second at Iruka's hit, coming back quickly to lunge at him in a rage. Iruka kneed him where it hurt, but not before the mans fist hit him in the jaw. Iruka stumbled for a second as the man crumpled to the floor, clutching the soft spot between his legs.
At this point, you were so overwhelmed you were sobbing, and youd gotten up from yhe couch, running off to a room upstairs. As you shut the door, you heard Iruka yell at the man, "When you forget how to respect a woman, remember that pain, douchebag."
You clutched your heart, sitting on the bed, and sobbed. You just froze, you did nothing. All you wanted was a nice night, and now Iruka's gotten in a fight. Because of you.
Your sobs echoed through the room, but footsteps broke through the vibrations, and you heard the door open cautiously.
"Y/N? Are you alright?" Iruka's voice pierced the room, and your sobs quieted slowly.
"I-I'm. F-Fine." You reply, through hiccups. This was too much. He walked into the room, and saw your tear stained face, rushing over to sit down beside you and pulled you close to his chest. Your whimpers continued, soaking his shirt with your tears.
"I-Im so sorry." You said into his chest, and he chuckled for a moment, placing his fingers under your chin to pull your face up to look at him. He brushed his thumb across your cheek, drying the tears before more fell.
"Dont you dare apologize. Id fight every disrespectful bigot for you. You deserve that, and more, love." He said, and your face heated up at his words. No man has ever said something that sweet to you.
"B-But tonight was supposed to be p-perfect." You said, whimpering, and he looked deep into your eyes, seeing how much it meant to you that he was your date. He leaned in, not even knowing what he was doing, but for once just taking the moment before it left forever, and his lips were suddenly pressing against yours. You took no second to freeze like before, this was a scene youd played in your head a hundred times over, and somehow it was more perfect than youd imagined. You kissed him back, passionately, the taste of beer and built up emotion lingering on both of your lips. You wrapped your arms around his shoulders, running your hands through his hair, and pulled him down to lay on the bed, an urgency in the air. As his hands finally wandered your curves, and you unbuttoned his shirt to finally feel the bare skin against his muscular chest, you smiled into his lips. After all this time, all those moments imagining the way he'd feel against you, he was finally yours. And there was no way you were going to let him get away again.
