I think the thing that makes us human is telling stories. Stories are the very essence of what being human means to me. Telling them, listening to them, watching them unfold, being part of them. We love stories. Stories are magic. And this magic is so old, much older than written words. Stories are painted on the walls at Lascaux. Stories are carved into giant rocks all over the world. Stories are imprinted in a stretch of prehistoric mud and fossilized.

Stories are magic, and we can use them in a variety of ways. We tell and consume them for fun, for entertainment, for education, for comfort and working through trauma.

So, stories are my healing magic
