He seems to just want to make music which is fine but he won't be able to do that if he's no longer profitable. He doesn't have the kind of fanbase who will buy his stuff no matter what and he has no real presence with the gp who either don't know he has music out or don't care. I agree with you but I don’t think being profitable is a issue for him. he’s made enough from 1d that he could never work again and still live comfortably for the rest of his life. making money is never his priority tho i’m sure it is one of the factors in things he does. music videos seem to be a different story, he seems to have a budget for that for sure. but he makes music because he wants to, because he has fun with it and I guess he doesn’t wanna promote it very much even tho we really want him too. oh if we could take a look into his brain

Yeah I’d like a look inside his brain too! As long as he returns a profit for rca, even if it’s not what they had hoped for when they signed him, he’ll probably be able to keep releasing new music. It’s really interesting to me to watch, but it’s not for everyone. I can’t think of a single career in music that I follow or have ever followed where I didn’t feel frustrated at times, tho.
