05/05 - Survived the English exam! Sorry I disappeared, was barely motivated enough to study never mind post about it. The exam went pretty terribly but as long as I get at least a B, it's fine. Regardless, it's a little difficult to be stressed when you're eating spring rolls with friends so at least one nice thing happened today :)

Types of study break (tag yourself!):

The Productive One: refilling a drink, crossing a task off your to do list, the comfort of knowing that you're exactly on track.

The I-can't-fucking-take-this-any-longer: flinging yourself dramatically onto the couch or bed because this subject is turning your brain into mulch. snacking on something unhealthy but so delicious. texting friends who are suffering alongside you just to cry or scream together.

The "Just five more minutes" : Scrolling through tumblr or instagram. trying to pull your thoughts together on a bad day. convincing yourself that viewing motivational posts online is almost the same as actually doing that homework, really!

The Leg Cramp: No idea how long you've been sitting motionless but you gotta MOVE. Dancing badly and singing along to your favourite song. The joy of realising you've accomplished more than you hoped.

25/05 & 26/05 - i regret all of my life choices. Guess who didn't study enough and had to stay up all night before sitting two exams in a row? Yeah, unfortunately, this idiot.

Art (5hrs) - reviewed flashcards, design blurt + practice questions

Art exam - ran out of time and missed two marks or so at the end, but overall went pretty well!

Biology (6hrs) - unit 2 PPQs, recap of problem areas + finally made cheatsheet

General - took a 4 hour nap + showered (yes, i'm so pathetic that i'm counting that as productive)

05/06 - I've been relatively inactive for a while because I've been doing a 'university experience week'. it's been really interesting! My favourite lesson so far was on applications of iPS cells and I'm looking forward to biochem tomorrow. Haven't really had a whole lot of time to study for my actual classes, but from what I hear, I haven't missed too much.

'look at this page of detailed notes that to me is perfectly normal but in reality looks like it was done by a professional calligrapher' and 'i want to prove I did work but please god don't look too closely at my handwriting'

Post-Exam Reading Bucket List

I've barely read at all in the last few months, because of school or just plain exhaustion, but it's time to take my life back. I'll try to remember to update this list whenever I finish something, posting so I don't lose it. I really look forward to actually having hobbies other than doomscrolling again.
