Danny Phantom MBTI Types Tucker Foley: ISFJ

Si: Tucker, for the most part, does what he knows. He doesn’t like getting out of his comfort zone, and he prefers to make his own judgments of people, even when his friends are telling him otherwise. During his time dating Valerie, he refused to listen to Danny and Sam when they told him she was bad news.

Fe: Barring a few instances, Tucker puts his friends first. He goes into a hospital, his worst nightmare, throws himself on a sword that literally sends him to his worst nightmare, and leaves safe places all the time in order to help Danny. He does this less so with Sam, but he does do it (the time he dressed as her so she could go the Circus Gothica comes to mind, even if he was being paid for it).

Ti: Tucker is a tech sponge and is always up to date with the newest gadgets. When he sees something new, he wants to know more about it, provided he views it as worthy of his time. You could also argue that his retention of the Crammaster 5000 information could contribute to this, but it’s also just a natural function of who he is as a person.

Ne: Sometimes, Tucker thinks he’s reached a logical conclusion, but it doesn’t quite hit the mark. He can tell you that X is related to Y, but he can’t tell you how he got there. His lower function is not very well developed (something common in cartoons and children’s shows in general), but the few blips we do see indicate Ne.

Perceiving Functional Axis: Si/Ne

Terry loses his edge in the field because he fears the possibility of leaving his twin girls fatherless. And so, he chains himself to his desk, remaining in stasis for over a year. He always prioritizes his family and serves as a grounding presence at the Nine-Nine. Inspired to follow his dreams after receiving a message from his favorite author, he proceeds to become a cop when he’s saved by one (he sees him as a superhero of sorts and decided he wants to be the same.) Terry finally returns to the field by throwing himself at an unhinged criminal (inferior-Ne). During times of stress, he’s prone to becoming emotionally reactive (his inability to build a dollhouse for his girls) or indulge in his tendency to stress-eat (when he’s expecting his third child.)

Judging Functional Axis: Fe/Ti

Terry is the father-figure at the precinct. He considers the precinct family and his detective squad his children that he needs to take care of. He proudly defends them to Holt when he criticizes their self-evaluations. He’s an amiable person who can’t tolerate people disliking him despite his personal ambivalence towards the officers. In spite of his strength and physique, Terry chooses to follow the rules and do what’s expected of him (he’s reluctant to rebel against the federal agencies at the Inter-Agency Anti-Terrorism Drill). He works tirelessly for the well-being of his family, and is ready to accept a position in private security for the benefits. He shares his love for efficiency with Holt — he’s taken years’ worth of notes about the “problem areas” of the precinct and how to fix them, but he’s also wise enough to realize that meddling too much is bound to result in failure.

Perceiving Functional Axis: Si/Ne

Amy is a hyper-competent detective; she’s extremely organized and detail-driven, a storehouse of knowledge, able to recall police codes at a moment’s notice and plan Holt’s return to New York down to the second (Si-Ti). Grounded in concrete details, she can tell where Jake’s hidden the belt by pointing out that the dust pattern of the box doesn’t match its neighbors’. She’s so tuned to the way Jake thinks she can predict all his moves during the fifth Halloween heist. She craves structure to the extent that she makes a cruise itinerary for Jake and her and signs them up for all the activities. Amy is so risk-averse that she’s incapable of breaking even the smallest of rules (she doesn’t sign anything before reading the terms and conditions). Before her sergeant’s exam, she has a typical Ne-meltdown, afraid that becoming a sergeant would change Jake and her life.

Amy is desperate for Holt’s approval and goes to great lengths to appease him. When invited to his birthday party, she violates his house rules just so she can find something in common with him. She adopts increasingly convoluted methods to give him Christmas presents, looking like a brown-noser for doing so. She’s highly concerned about what people think of her, hesitant even to look at wedding dresses because she doesn’t want the uniformed officers to perceive her as weak. Amy only participates in the third Halloween Heist because Jake and Holt hurt her feelings, but she executes an intricate plan and successfully humiliates both of them. She needs things to make sense to her — for all the pieces of the puzzle to make sense (when there’s an error in the block party permits in throws her into a literal loop.) Occasionally, Amy favors logic over feelings. She debates having children with Jake rather than having a discussion, using cold, hard facts to support her position.

Enneagram: 6w5

Note: Amy is typed as a Te user, well, everywhere but she has a strong outward focus towards people, especially what they think of her. She craves for a mentor in Holt and would do anything to gain his favor. She cares too much about what he thinks. An Fi user wouldn't require the validation that she does and would never bend over backwards to please someone—they don't need so much constant external reassurance of their competency (even being a 6.) Moreover, she spends an entire episode trying to convince Rosa that people need people, and you can't do anything alone. A Te user would be much more likely to agree with Rosa (see: Holt.)

"Since he really likes kids, I think Shang would be a good dad. He'd take his role very seriously and be sure to nurture and punish the kids if needed (though I think maybe in a more "you're grounded, more chores and less fun for you!") sort of way. He'd probably at first have high expectations, which Mulan would agree with the expectations of them as good people but tell him to let them be who they are, and he'd relent after she gave him all the logic and reasoning why. (Like how misreable they were when pleasing parents and now as themselves are prosperous and so on.) I could see him helping out a lot even with the baby and to be the one who wanted it more. So he'd keep his end of the bargain. He'd even play and teach it things, though I don't think he'd be good at the imaginary games. He'd probably overload them on information, but that's fine. I think he'd actually be more worried about the kid and how to raise it than Mulan. Of cpourse, he's resered and bad with words and feeling, so there may be some miscommunication at times, but he'd always try to fix it and put the child before anything in his life as that is what a father should do. He'd do anything for the kid, and so would Mulan. Of course, he'd need his space and career like Mulan does. I could see him as bad at conversationing with the child, but the kid would still talk to him because he would listen, so long as they get him at the right time and not when buse. But he'd always find time in his busy schedule for them, and end up accepting them any way they are very proudly." - Betep Stone
