Jackman watercolours and spooky potions shop illustrations!

A few weeks ago, I went to the Cake and Bake convention with my mum, but there was also the Creative craft show at the same time! I went for a little wonder and spotted a handmade watercolour stall. I couldn't resist, so I got 3 tubes of paints (a warm primary set). In this video, I set up the little pallet and made a painting with it! Overall, I adore the paints and can't wait to get some more (hint Christmas 😂).

The painting I created with this pallet was originally a doodle. I wanted to do something that would work with my last painting. So...ghost potions shop?

- Magnani 1404 Italia 300 gsm Cold press watercolour paper

- arta liner 2 paintbrush

- Jackson Art Studio Synthetic 2 and 6

- Mt washi tape

STARLIGHT - Ether’s Restaurent

People tour this city not just for the magical souvenirs but also for the food. This restaurant creates food using the most fantastical ingredients, which not attracts foodies with adventurous appetites, but also thieves seeking through rare materials for there own motives. For that reason, this restaurant is constantly under the cloak of a glamour spell, making it something of a treasure hunt to discover this place and experience its legendary menu.

I wanted this to feel sort of shady without relying on dark colors, so I used a ton of red and greens in addition to a dragon / serpent motif. That neon sign is also ouroboros in addition to being an infinity sign, to reinforce that “something...might not be right” atmosphere.

I’m s l o w l y getting back on my /drawing/ feet. I decided it’s time to fulfill my dream of drawing isometric stuff - this is a blacksmith from The Settlers 3, yeah i still play it. I can recommend youtube tutorials and studying art from Sephiroth, they’re doing awesome stuff
