#JackedKirby - May The 4th Be With You... Kirby Style!!! 💥💥💥 Today is May the 4th, Star Wars Day... and it is only fitting that we share the ONLY Star Wars character Jack ever drew, Darth Vader for the 1994 Topps Trading Card Series (pic 1)!!! It is a great drawing from The King... and may be more fitting then most people know... because many people feel that Darth Vader was inspired by Kirby’s very own Dr Doom!!! 💥💥💥 We here at Jacked Kirby absolutely LOVE Dr Doom!!! As does one of our favorite followers, @2star_gunpla (I didn’t forget... hahah)... but seems like George Lucas was also a fan. #JackedKirby - Los Cuatros FantasticoS!!! 4️⃣4️⃣4️⃣4️⃣ Came across this excellent Mexican edition of Fantastic Four #Issue87 and was struck by the fact that they used almost ALL of the original cover art.... but went with a completely different Logo/Title in terms of font and style! 💥💥💥 The original issue that was published with this cover was #Issue87 from June of 1969. This is numbered as Mexican Edition #Issue85 and came out in November of 1981.... That means it took 12 years to get printed down in Mexico Way!!!! 💥💥💥 The “World’s Greatest Comics Magazine” got its Mexican print run courtesy of Novedades Editores, a Mexican Print company starting in 1979/80. Somewhere in the print run they must have skipped a couple of issues, cause the issue numbers are almost identical... they must have left something out!!!
