Y'all, I don't know if you guys know this, but MHA was my first manga/anime. Unless you count Teen Titans 2003 or Voltron Legendary Defender. It's what got me hooked on anime. Funnily enough, my next anime was Attack on Titan, which... yeah. BUT! I pretty much grew into myself during MHA's run, and for it to be over? Right when I'm getting my stuff ready for freshman year of college? It's like that chapter in my life has officially closed. I've graduated right alongside my favourite characters and, honestly, my role models in some cases. It's a strange feeling.

I think the ending was very fitting for what MHA is, and what all good stories are. To me, the thing that makes a story go from good to great is relatability and open ended lines. To close off every little tie in a story would be to close it as a whole. Indulging in that media wouldn't be as open to creativity and resonance anymore. Midoriya may not be relatable in that he was granted a quirk, but there are thousands of people who can relate to not fitting in. To see that even after he lost what made him fit in, people would still reach out and look up to him, is inspiring. And in the end it was those connections that allowed him to continue what he loved.

I got way too emotional over a manga of all things, but it's attached to me in a way I can't describe. And I hope that there are others out there that feel them same, MHA or not.
