Think of yaoi and yuri as ying and yang. There is no one without the other. Sure you can prefer whatever you want BUT
Gay men cannot be valid without lesbians and vice versa. You can't represent and support one and reject the other. Just because you are not attracted to women doesn't mean their love story and representation is less valid than that of two men.
That is, in fact, male-centric behaviour. I don't wanna see a romace if there is no man there, not in a homophobic way but in a what's in it for me kinda way.
