i use "nikolai zinoviev" because it's a transliteration from the russian use of the cyrillic alphabet ! николай зиновьев -> nikolai zinoviev

plus the russian language already has a "ch" / "kh" sound and a letter to represent it (х), we get a great example in game with Captain Mikhail (-> Михаил) , which is not used for nikolai

I can't see the original post anymore from being blocked from it. I'm anonymous because while I want to talk about it, I don't want to be personally attacked for it on my own account, just incase there's extremist. Also, anytime I looked up something about this, I found a majority of "it's fine to be pansexual" things and it confused me more since there's also so many people who, like you, said it was harmful. Its hard to tell what's actually harmful and what's just hating. Thank you, though.

just something to consider, people aren’t ‘hating’. THat’s probably part of your issue. It’s normal to be biased towards shit that supports your worldview which is kind of the issue bc when shit like this happens ppl who are rightfuly upset get cast as ‘haters’ or ‘attacking’ and ppl who are like ‘no it’s totally fine’ seem reasonable in comparison.

But anyone marginalized systematically can tell you that 9/10 times the ppl who go ‘it’s fine’ are ALWAYS THE PPL LESS AFFECTED and who are not speaking from a position of experience. It’s been their PRIVILEGE to see the issue as mild and not worth being upset over. And there’s gonna be less of the ppl who naysay bc they’ve been silenced already (which as a group is why they’re already so loud and angry!) so it always works in favor of those who have comparitively little stake in the game

this isn’t about ‘hating’ it’s about complex and historical meanings in a culture that has been hugely damaged by violence and propaganda and law so like of COURSE the info is hard to come across. Stop viewing this as a petty ‘oh ppl who disagree are haters’ bc honestly this is not the kind of issue that applies to. It’s disrespectful tbh.

This is an issue with a lof o things in general and esp in LGBT spaces bc contemporarily a lot of people have this idea that the main focus of the LGBT umbrella is to be an all inclusive identity group instead of a safe space and community resource for marginalized groups which is why we have so many ppl who thnk it’s more morally woke to be like “ppl can call themselves whatever they want” which frankly is childish bc the opponents are trying to tell you  ‘the words we use have meaning and while labels can change it’s also true that meaning has to be continually carried through a culturefor words to have any value and carry historical info so that we don’t ahve to keep suffering from the same shit’ so like please just be curious when you hear ppl say ‘x y z’ is harmful and just ask yourself who it is who is always saying ‘no it’s fine’ bc things DO have consequences and the very real result of years of violent antiLGBT oppression is the loss of cultural knowledge which traps ppl in shitty loops of repetitive harm.
