Israel Azmaveth woke up slowly, sitting up in his bed clothes and rubbing his eyes as a the sun just barely started to shine into his room through the windows in the wall. He looked over with tired eyes outside, seeing the beautiful sight of the forest surrounding his home. He stood, dressing in his armor before opening his door, seeing a courier with his hand raised as if he was about to knock. He looked up and bowed at him with a gentle smile.
“Sir Israel. I have a letter. I was told to deliver this to you since you are the one assigned to guard and protect miss Gwen Moon.” He said in a rather eloquent voice. Israel took hold of the paper the man was holding out for him before giving him a gentle nod, still trying to wake up from the long sleep he had. The courier left and Israel looked down, noticing the Moon family crest upon the letter. They were reaching out to her now? That’s right. It was her eighteenth birthday today. She would soon be courted within her family.
Israel yawned and stretched as he walked down the hallway, his sword lightly tapping against the armor around his legs while he walked. His grey armor glinted in the morning sun as he passed by windows, approaching the royal daughters room. It wasn’t far from his, since he was her personal knight, but even so, they weren’t placed together, for her own privacy. He reached her door, knocking gently.
“Princess Gwen. It’s time to wake up. I have an important letter for you. It’s from Castle Reylia, your family. Let me in.” He said quietly, his voice low and calm. His own family and Gwen were the only people who ever heard his soft and smooth voice. It was loving and gentle, but all others heard a low, stern, and commanding voice whenever he was around. He had a job, and intimidation was part of the description.
