When ur working hard toward the very final exam of your double degree before officially becoming a scientist 😰 7 years has led up to this day in less the 30 hours from now that will be a massive turning point in my whole world. There's been highs and definitely lows - there's been frustration and despair. There's been anger and doubt that I can even do any of it. But the time is actually here. Multiple times of failing and trying again - tens of thousands of dollars later. I WILL WEAR THAT BURGUNDY ROBE 😁😁 that's my determination in putting in copious amounts of hours into these exams. My kids haven't made this easy through he years - my dad thought I was selfish - their dad kept saying it's my fault the kids were bad because I chose to go to uni - no one was ever on my side - but I kept on going - I knew this was the thing to do - this was the road for me. I upset so many people to strive for bettering my family - seems pretty fucked up to me that they would even put me through that so obviously the first few years were a disaster - fighting my doubts in myself and their anger toward me. The only way I got through is to know that people don't like it when someone tries to jump upto a better place in life - they want to keep u down there. But that life I had before was not one I wanted to keep. So alone or not I fought on. My first year of Uni was court to get to move to court - the second year my dad died - the third year I put my daughter in boarding school - the fifth year my son went to live with his dad for a year and lots of other stuff in between. This has not been easy.
