What’s the point of reviewing my TestFlight Beta app?
I do like TestFlight and appreciate how it has been integrated in iTunesconnect. It is very convenient not to have to get device ids from testers in order for people to try out your app. This is the reason why I use it over other testing distribution platforms like HockeyApp.
TestFlight has one big issue though: The Beta review process.
I would think the general idea behind the app review process is to assert quality of the App Store. But then I have no idea how they can assert quality of my Beta releases, which are not halfway done and have plenty of bugs that I want tested. So instead of being able to test my app immediatly, I have to wait a week for my app to be allowed to be tested by Apple. What is the point of that?
The dumbest thing about it yet is that it’s only the first build that has to be reviewed. All the builds following it are not being held up. Because of this, I have put into practice submitting a blank app for Beta review, immediately when starting a new project, which has surprisingly been accepted, and then after that I’ve been able to push how many updates I want. Does this make sense?
So again, what is the point of it all?
I am working on an app in iTunes connect for a client, under their iTunes connect account. I want to add myself as a user so that I can get email notifications of updates in app status. When I try ...

Made the change from Objective C to Cocos2D to Unity. Made a really simple throwaway app to test building and submitting apps with Unity3D. For some reason I was nervous because it’s the first time I’m submitting something that was built from a 3rd-Party product. Anyways, I submitted the app today and only had minor problems with it. I don’t know why I was nervous about it but it was easier than I expected.
