Wuhu, my boy is back! German-bred Ivanhowe (Our Ivanhowe) broke his Australian maiden in the Group 1 Doomden Cup at Doomden with Kerrin McEvoy in the irons, 21 May 2016. It was his ninth start in Australia since leaving Germany 12 months ago.
Race favourite Hauraki and James McDonald finished second with stable companion It’s Somewhat and Damian Browne right behind in third. Full result here.

German superstar Ivanhowe, who amongst his victories in 2014 has the Grosser Preis von Baden and Grosser Preis von Bayern - both Group 1 races, has been sold to Australia and will continue his racing career there. Announced on 2 January 2015.
