Your eyes glance across the dance floor, scanning the ballroom for any easy pickings. Spying a middle aged lady who's already gotten a tad tipsy and welcoming, you slink over, ready to invite yourself into the conversation and, if things go according to plan, her pockets.
Just before you reach her, however, an arm reaches out, blocking you from continuing. Looking up in barely concealed frustration, you make eye contact with your host, Princess Wonyoung. Suddenly, your brows shoot up and you're bowing profusely, hoping that she didn't catch you eyeing the lady's necklace. She giggles before gently but firmly gripping your elbow, preventing you from further bowing.
"No need to break your back for me, mon amour, I'm not that important."
"Hey! Keep it ow-lay on the ove-lay stuff, we can't have people knowing!"
"And what would would be so bad about that?" she pouts. "It's just us."
"Just us?!," you exclaim, before growing conscious of the surrounding guests' looks. "In case you've forgotten, you're heir to the throne while I pick pockets to get by. We aren't exactly a perfect match in the public's eyes, and especially not in your parents'."
You're about to continue when Wonyoung steps closer, gently gripping your chin and getting dangerously close to your face. Suddenly you've forgotten everything you were talking about, focusing only on her lips. Closing your eyes, you eagerly await your kiss, but instead get a breath across your face, followed by a whisper.
"Like I said, what would be so bad about that? I was planning on getting us out of here anyways."
"Really?" She nods. "Tell me more," you say, eager to hear.
She pulls you aside, outside of gossip's hold, and continues. "Somewhere faraway where you don't have to steal and I don't have to plan and be formal and all of that boring jazz. Somewhere where we can have our own overgrown garden, some cows, horses-"
"And ducks! We'll need ducks!"
"And definitely some ducks," she laughs yet again, "I wouldn't let you go without them, mon amour."
"It sounds perfect," you sigh, leaning in to finally get your desired kiss before Wonyoungleaves you to dream about this future for the rest of the night.

When They Get Jealous Of Your Friendship With Another Member ~ Ive Reaction
Gaeul:
“Where’s Hyunseo?” Yujin quizzed as she walked into the studio to see only four of the girls sat around waiting to start rehearsing.
“Didn’t she mention she’d be late yesterday?” You asked them all as you watched on from the side, “she said something about an appointment or physio.”
Beside you, Gaeul tensed up realising that you knew exactly what Hyunseo was up to. “I don’t think she said anything to us,” Yujin responded with a shrug of her shoulders.
“You must be her favourite,” a voice mumbled beside you, “the one that she tells everything to like a best friend would.”
Your glance shot across at Gaeul as soon as she stopped muttering to herself. “She only mentioned it because I remember asking her what her plans were at the dorm last night.”
“We’re the people that she works with,” Gaeul huffed, “yet she doesn’t tell us a thing.”
“She could have just forgot to mention it to you guys.”
Slowly, Gaeul’s head nodded back at you. “Perhaps we should start asking her if she’s got any plans then we won’t have to rely on you to tell us all about her.”
“Stop being dramatic,” you told Gaeul, “I just asked the question, it’s not as if we’re the best of friends or anything.”
“Sorry, it just feels weird you knowing things about her when we don’t.”
“It’s one thing, that’s all I even know.”
Yujin:
“What do you fancy doing this evening?” Yujin asked you as the two of you sat down to dinner, letting go of a sigh once she was seated.
“I’ve actually got plans,” you weakly smiled back across to Yujin, “Jiwon asked me if I fancied going to the cinema, the sequel to that movie that we liked is out.”
The smile on Yujin’s face dropped as her head nodded back at you. “I forgot that that was tonight,” she muttered under her breath, trying to not let you see her irritation.
“You can come too if you want,” you replied, trying to pick her back up again, “the more the merrier, the film should be really good.”
Yujin’s eyes glanced across at you, “are you sure that you two want me to come? I wouldn’t want to interrupt you both,” she huffed, her frustration getting the better of her.
“Actually, we were going to invite everyone,” you spoke, “so that no one is interrupting.”
“Sorry, it’s just I thought we could spend the night just us.”
You smiled weakly back across at Yujin, “it’s just one night, we’ve been wanting to watch this film for ages. How about tomorrow night? I’m all yours tomorrow night.”
“Yeah,” Yujin smiled softly too, “and you and Jiwon should just go tonight, I’m not that fussed about the film anyway.”
“Are you sure that you won’t get jealous about it just being us two hanging out?”
“No, you guys are friends, I don’t mind at all.”
Rei:
“Y/N, you’re too funny,” Wonyoung grinned as she clutched onto her sides at yet another joke you told, unable control her laughter.
“I’ve been told once or twice,” you smiled back at Wonyoung as she excused herself to try and regain her composure and stop her stitch in her side.
As you turned around, you were greeted by a blank expression on Rei’s face. “What have I done?” You quizzed, knowing that she wasn’t impressed by something.
“Sometimes I think she laughs too much at you,” Rei admitted, “I mean your joke was funny, but was it really that funny to react like that?”
Your head shook as Rei’s eyes trailed down to look at the floor. “She was probably just being nice and humouring me rather than actually laughing at the joke Rei.”
“Or you just make her laugh more than me,” Rei sighed, “maybe you’re more compatible.”
“That’s ridiculous, Wonyoung is just a good friend of mine.”
Another sigh escaped from Rei, “or maybe it’s just me, maybe I never expected you to become as close as you have done to the other girls, it’s a lot to get used to.”
“Don’t worry,” you assured her, “I’m sure that Wonyoung is just being nice, you should be glad we get along.”
“I am, I just don’t want you to ever end up liking one of them more than you like me.”
“I know that that won’t ever happen for a fact.”
Wonyoung:
“I grabbed you a coffee,” Yujin smiled across at you as she joined you and Wonyoung at the table that you were sat at in the catering hall.
“My favourite,” you grinned after taking a sip, impressed that Yujin had managed to get your order spot on. “Not even Wonyoung remembers this yet.”
With that, Wonyoung sunk down in her seat, running her hand over her face. “It’s pretty easy to get,” Yujin replied proudly, “the order has a bit of rhythm.”
“Maybe you can teach me it,” Wonyoung muttered underneath her breath, “is there anything else that you know about Y/N that I don’t?”
Yujin’s eyes widened as Wonyoung snapped, not quite knowing where to look. “Perhaps I should just go,” Yujin whispered, sensing that it was best to give you both space.
“Don’t,” Wonyoung told you as soon as Yujin went, “I don’t know where that came from.”
“There’s plenty that you know about me that Yujin doesn’t.”
Wonyoung nodded in agreement with you, “I just hate the fact she remembers things that I don’t, I should be the one who knows every single thing about you Y/N.”
“It’s just a coffee order,” you tried to reassure her, “and you know that whatever you bring me, I always like it.”
“Sometimes I think that you’re just doing that to be nice to me more than anything else.”
“No way, I always enjoy my coffees from you.”
Liz:
“Where’s the one that I gave you?” Jiwon asked you as she found you backstage with a banner to hold during the concert that evening.
“I can’t remember where I put it,” you frowned as Jiwon picked up the banner that you had with Gaeul’s name on it to hold during the concert instead.
Her eyebrows knitted together as she placed the banner back down, “the fans will think that you like Gaeul more than you like me if you hold this up tonight.”
“You know that I support all of you,” you tried to tell Jiwon as she sat down beside you, “it’s not about me having favourites out of you all.”
Her head shook as you spoke, “there’s some spares lying around backstage, can I go and find you one that has my name on to hold during the concert rather than this one?”
“If it will make you feel better,” you smiled, “but there’s no need to fret.”
“I just want everyone to know that I’m your favourite member.”
Your eyes widened as Jiwon picked the banner up again, “I already told you that I don’t have favourites,” you tried to tell her, but Jiwon didn’t listen to you at all.”
“I have to be your favourite, I’m your partner,” Jiwon reminded you, “maybe Gaeul can be your second favourite.”
“Alright, you’re my favourite, but I’m a fan of Ive more than anyone else you know.”
“As long as I’m number one, I don’t mind.”
Leeseo:
“There you are,” Hyunseo hummed as she made her way into the café to see you sat with Rei, chatting and laughing between yourselves.
“I didn’t realise that you were looking for me,” you smiled in reply as Hyunseo sat down beside you, the lack of expression on her face catching you off guard.
It didn’t go unnoticed by Rei either who began to get a little tense. “I’ve got somewhere that I need to be,” she whispered, excusing herself as she picked up her coffee.
“We can finish this conversation later,” you called out to Rei, waving goodbye to her knowing that Hyunseo’s eyes were firmly watching you.
A sigh came from her as you took a sip out of the coffee cup before you. “The two of you seem to be pretty close recently, you’re not trying to steal my group members, are you?”
“Don’t be silly,” you laughed, “Rei just asked for a bit of advice, so I helped her out.”
“Why didn’t she come to any of us? We could have helped out.”
Your head shook back at her, “she wanted a bit of advice from someone not in the group, she doesn’t want to burden you guys, that’s the only reason that she came to me.”
“It’s not that she just gets along with you better?” Hyunseo tentatively asked you, “I was beginning to worry a little bit.”
“You don’t need to be jealous; she just wanted the advice of someone not in the group.”
Just as your team wins another match, you hear your girlfriend, Rei, call you from her storage-closet-turned-art-studio. Powering off your computer, you head out of your bedroom and down the hall to see what she was calling you for. As you enter her studio, you find her standing before you, holding a canvas out in front of her and turning away with a shy smile. Looking down, you're met with the most beautiful, detailed painting of you intensely focused on your monitor, a triumphant expression on your face.
"I saw you gaming earlier and you look so cute when you get excited, I just had to take a picture and paint it," she explains. You stand there, silenced by shock, and Rei perceives your amazement as disgust, backing away. "Of course, if you don't like it it's okay! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to pull you away from your friends, this was stupid anyw-"
You cut her off with a tight hug, burying your face in the crook of her neck. "I love it, ladybug, it's absolutely fantabulous!" Pulling away, you smile at her and peck her nose. "Thank you for highlighting me in my element, I never thought something so mundane could be so beautiful."
"Oh, my darling's an artist!" you exclaim, mimicking fainting. Rei giggles, a soft blush painting her cheeks.
She steps forward slowly until she's right in front of you. "Thank you for liking my work, your support always means a lot," she mumbles, burying her face in your chest. Your heart melts, and you embrace her firmly, silently thanking the universe for sending you such a wonderful girl.
