while gi-hun and in-ho’s dynamic is very important to the plot, i think a lot of shippers do have this kind of.. clouded vision? like rose-tinted glasses, to where they misinterpret their interpretations as canon. but romantic or sexual tensions are pure interpretation, as is almost everything not confirmed! they are just as much interpretations the same way i don’t interpret them romantically. it’s all about people’s perception.
comparing the ship to hannigram is also not the greatest argument considering hannigram is literally BUILT around will and hannibal’s relationship/dynamic.
squid game, on the other hand, is a show about the criticism of capitalism and a corrupt system. it is an ALLEGORY.

in-ho is an enforcer of the system. while he was originally a victim of that system, he made the choice to come back and enforce the system. he believes what he’s doing is right.
he is IGNORING the injustice and feeding it. he is not a good person, as much as he’s suffered. we can’t let trauma be an EXCUSE because that’s just as infantilizing.
