If I see one more person say that heated rivalry is the reason for progress in the hockey community im going to actually kill someone. You do not get to claim credit for progress over years of advocacy for queer athletes, over players sticking their neck out for pride year after year, over the actual queer people in the sport painstakingly carving a path for themselves in a homophobic community.
