Love this song, love this artist
I wonder what the percentage is of my feature posts these days are of artists and bands out of London, it seems to be rising all the time! There seems to be an endless stream of amazing new acts coming out of that area these days, particularly solo artists in soul pop or soulful electronic pop music. Add Jack Garratt to that growing list. Water is his second offering, and what a propulsive new tune it is, with its crunchy guitars and thumping R&B beats. There's even a jazzy feel to the rich piano chords. It follows up his debut song I Couldn't Want You Anyway, a poignant, ardent, falsetto highlighted gem that will appeal to fans of Asgeir, later Bon Iver, and recent James Vincent McMorrow.
