I'm so sorry Emma, I wish I didn't leave you. I wish I didn't die in front of you and leave you on your own. I know there was nothing else I could do, it was that or watch you die in front of me. I don't regret saving you, I'm just sorry I never got to watch you grow up. I never got to be by your side again. I can only imagine what you felt after, the ice numbed me, I didn't even remember you till I met the guardians.

For as much as I hated being forgotten and for how much it hurt, I forgot you, 300 years and you didn't exist in my memory. Now I know and I was probably stuck in your memory since I fell through the ice. I'm so sorry, if I could, I would go back and make sure we never got on that frozen lake and I would hold you so tight, even if you didn't understand why. I would make you laugh again and it wouldn't end in my death.
