These Korean BBQ Jackfruit Sliders taste great on both sweet and savory levels. The star of these sliders is jackfruit that has been marinated in a homemade Korean BBQ sauce. Fresh green onions, cilantro, and crunchy cabbage go on top of the jackfruit. Great for a party or a quick dinner during the week!
Ingredients: 2 cans young green jackfruit in brine, drained and shredded. 1 cup Korean BBQ sauce. 2 tablespoons sesame oil. 1 tablespoon soy sauce. 1 tablespoon rice vinegar. 1 tablespoon brown sugar. 1 teaspoon minced garlic. 1 teaspoon grated ginger. 12 slider buns. 1 cup shredded purple cabbage. 1/2 cup sliced green onions. 1/4 cup chopped cilantro. Sesame seeds, for garnish.
Instructions: Get the Korean BBQ sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger all together in a bowl. This is the marinade. Add the shredded jackfruit to the sauce and mix it in well. For at least 30 minutes, let it sit. Place a skillet over medium-low heat and add the jackfruit that has been marinated. Stir the jackfruit every once in a while for 8 to 10 minutes, or until it's fully heated through and starting to turn a little caramelized. In a different pan or toaster, toast the slider buns until they are golden brown. Put together the sliders by putting some Korean BBQ jackfruit on each bun. Add green onions, chopped cilantro, and shreds of cabbage on top. Add sesame seeds as a garnish before serving. Warm up the Korean BBQ jackfruit sliders and the snack them up!
