Este artigo propõe uma análise comparativa entre relatos ufológicos contemporâneos e a estrutura narrativa dos contos de fadas, com base nas proposições de Jacques Vallée em Passaporte para Magônia. Segundo Vallée, os encontros com OVNIs e seres não humanos seriam versões modernas de experiências ancestrais com entidades sobrenaturais — como fadas, elfos e demônios — cujas ações envolvem elementos recorrentes como abduções, provações e intervenções físicas. A crítica literária Nelly Novaes Coelho, ao definir os contos de fadas como narrativas de encantamento e superação, revela paralelos estruturais com os relatos de abdução: ambos envolvem deslocamentos para realidades alternativas, desafios simbólicos e transformações do protagonista. O estudo também aborda os contos maravilhosos de origem oriental, que enfatizam aspectos materiais e sociais, e a gênese das fadas no imaginário céltico-bretão, destacando sua função como mensageiras de outros mundos.
