"Are you proposing to me?" Jamie's eyebrows darted up underneath his fringe of hair. His tone was the slightest bit teasing, but not enough that Jade would mistake it for joking.
Still, the urge to joke around back was too tempting.
"I might be," Jade replied with a sly smile. "What would you do then?"
Jamie chuckled and stepped closer, his amber eyes gleaming as he pulled Jade flush to himself.
"Well then," Jamie breathed as his boyfriend all but went limp against him. "I might just have to marry you."
So! For these characters, please.
How would Fenway, Jamie, Jade, Ghost, and Nyx(Which I hope isn't too many) react to their S/o falling through the ice? Luckily it's just into a little bit of water, nothing that would like kill them but still.
Cold.
Not too many at all!
Fenway panics immediately, even if the water is no more than a foot deep. You could get hypothermia, or frostbite or any number of other unpleasant things. Even after you assure her that you're okay, just cold and wet, she cancels all plans to get you home and warmed up.
It startles Jamie, but he's quick to recover and help you out. He gets you indoors quickly and swaps your wet socks and shoes for his own dry ones. He doesn't feel temperature anymore, so what's he gonna do? Get hypothermia? Hardly. He still remembers his first aid training, so he makes sure to keep you warm (but not too warm). He'd offer you a hug but...he doesn't have body heat anymore, sorry.
Jade swears so colourfully when the ice cracks that it startles you, and you fall on your butt into the ice puddle your foot just went through. He'll help you up after that, very embarrassed and apologetic. He didn't mean to make things worse. He'll take you home and set you up with blankets, hot chocolate and all the books you could ever want to read, in front of a nice toasty fireplace. Maybe, if you ask nicely, he'll read to you.
If nothing else, Ghost knows you need to change into dry clothes. He'll take you home and give you his warmest pajamas to change into. There! Now you can stay the night!
If the water is shallow, Nyx laughs. He'll let you sort yourself out, and offer the barest minimum of assistance. Sorry, you're just...so cute when you're annoyed with him. If the water is waist high or deeper, he slips into business mode - that means he's not messing around and you're well taken care of. You have blankets, hot drinks, him - everything you could ever want or need. And he'd be only too pleased to help warm you back up.

For Ash, Red, Ghost, Jamie
Ash will either completely isolate himself when he's scared, or seek some kind of normalcy. The latter means - despite all his eccentricities - willingly spending time in Nyx's presence. Nyx's boundless energy and never-ending chaos means a welcome distraction from whatever had freaked Ash out in the first place. Unfortunately, this often means added stress.
Red will seek out Fenway when he's freaked out, unless it's something he's worried about her thinking less of him for (like his dislike for thunderstorms). He knows he's dangerous and sharp and he spends enough time afraid of snapping and hurting the people around him, but having Fenway under his arm and tucked against his side is one of the most relaxing things he's found. They tend to use each other as fear antidotes.
Ghost will run to Perenia when he's scared; she's like a mother to him. "Renny", as he calls her, always seems to have the answers, and though she's not proficient in most stereotypical "motherly" arts, she tries her best. Ghost knows this, and trusts her deeply. She may not be his biological mom, but she fills the spot well.
Jamie is most likely to find his way to Jade if something freaks him out. He has been known to ask Jade to read something to him, and since he's not much of the bookish type himself, this is usually Jade's cue that something is wrong.
I don't know if this would be too long to ask but I have a funny thing that happened a long time ago.
When I was 5-6 years old, I thought I could fly because my grandma kept telling me I could "You're a hero, you can fly I promise!" and I was able to get up onto the roof I think? (Or something else that was high) and I jumped off cause I thought I could fly.
I, of course, couldn't. I went to the hospital and they put a cast on my leg but then my other leg didn't work so we thought the hospital was stupid and put the cast onto the wrong leg.
We were gonna get mad but then! I found out that I had both legs broken.
And yeah, I was just wondering how some of your characters would react to learning/hearing this story. If it's too long, just ignore this lol. I mostly just wanted to tell the story cause it's funny.

Xilixas admires your reckless spirit, but thinks maybe you shouldn't be left unsupervised. Don't worry though - he's happy to supervise you for future adventures, if you know what he means.
Lillianna is appalled that any adult would promise something like that to a child. She tries not to laugh at the fact that you broke both your legs and didn't immediately realize it, because she's too focused on being upset that your grandma put the idea in your head to start with.
Jade laughs at your story and tells his own story of adults giving false information leading to injury. Granted Jade was a fair bit older, since it was after he joined his pack family at around 12. His pack leader told him he could leap from one rooftop to another across the street, as a wolf. Jade was laid up for a while afterward.
As far as Ghost is concerned, you are a superhero. You jumped from a high place and lived to tell the tale! He's impressed you didn't break more bones to be honest. He also makes sure to tell you that it isn't nice of grown-ups to lie like that.
Violet is confused and concerned. Why... Why would you believe that you could fly? Of course, you were very young, and he knows how easy children can be to convince of certain things. You're lucky you didn't break your spine. From now on, expect to be on a calcium-rich diet. Oh no, he insists.
Expect Ash and Nyx to swaddle you in bubble wrap (physically and metaphorically). You're not doing anything even remotely dangerous anymore. Need something from the store? Ash will go - he's the more responsible one of the two, and he'll look for sales. Nyx will buy whatever looks most interesting, so at least make sure you don't give him your card.
They play Among Us. Reader kills them and gets away with it. How do they react?(Whoever)

Ghost's first inclination is to be upset, but that's more to to with the fact that he can't manage to survive an entire round than it is to do with you getting away with his murder. But! This is just a game, and he can still do tasks, so all is not lost. The next time he gets imposter, he sticks to you like glue. Not so he can pay you back, but just to be annoying. If you have voice chat or proximity chat enabled, he'll talk non-stop. This is his revenge.
Kiyba wants to play dirty and tell everyone what happened, but he also doesn't want to ruin the enjoyment for everyone else. - he's a jerk but he's not that bad. Mostly he sits in his seat and simmers until the round is over. If he had unfinished tasks, he doesn't bother finishing them, purely out of spite.
Jamie takes it as a challenge. He finishes his tasks as a ghost, and the next time he gets imposter, he comes up with a plan to do exactly what you did to him. He sabotages lights and catches you with a group. He kills you, and in the confusion of the lights being off, smoothly frames someone else for the murder. A little bit of payback feels good every now and then.
Jade is the one most likely to quit after that. If it pisses him off enough, he might not even wait for the round to be over before he leaves the game. He's not much of a gamer to begin with - patience for books is an entirely different kind of thing than being patient with other people who have their own aims and goals. He tried it, and in the end, it wasn't worth the effort.
This sparks something in Ash. Instead of finishing his tasks as a ghost, he follows you around, watching who you kill next and trying to figure out what your strategy is. The next time he gets imposter, you're his first mark, but he doesn't go about it the same way Jamie does. Ash will make sure he has an audience, but he doesn't want there to be any confusion as to who committed the murder. He doesn't need to get away with it, he just wants the satisfaction of the kill. The first thing he types in dead chat after being thrown out the air lock? "worth it."
How would… Toni, Luna, Lillianna, Jade, Perenia, and Kiyba react to their S/o cat having kittens? And the runt of the litter chooses them as the one that they like.
If she's being perfectly honest, Toni is a little annoyed. The kitten is cute and all, and she does love it! But it follows her everywhere when she's over at her s/o's house - no exaggeration. If her and her s/o live together, Toni is annoyed because she can't go into her workshop to work without the kitten crying outside the workshop door. But she can't work if the kitten is in the workshop either - it's too dangerous for babies. She feels a little bad for being annoyed, of course - the kitten doesn't know any better.
Luna loves cats! This partly due to the fact that she's a cat herself, but still. When the tiniest kitten of the litter chooses her as their favourite, she is beyond honoured. You might even catch her crying happy tears when the kitten falls asleep in her arms of on her lap. Of course she's emotional! It's fine! Emotions are good and healthy things to have.
Lillianna thinks it's all very cute and precious, but she isn't eager to form an emotional bond with a cat. Don't get her wrong, she likes pets just fine, she just...is worried about what people would say if they saw her talking to a cat as though it were human. She loves the kitten, but carefully. She overthinks everything to make sure that the people around her don't get the wrong idea. But what idea that is exactly, not even she is sure.
Jade loves it roughly a normal amount. That is, he's absolutely wild about this tiny kitten who's chosen him as their favourite. He does everything he can with this little baby (for enrichment, of course). In the same way that people play Mozart to their unborn babies in an attempt to make them smarter, Jade will take this little kitten to a quiet corner and read classic literature to them. Nothing too involved, of course. Mostly Sherlock Holmes and Lord of the Rings. He sets a timer on his phone so he never misses feeding times, and when the kitten is old enough to be away from the mother, he might just beg you to let him adopt them.
Perenia feels a certain way about new life. She's big on the beauty of nature and how nature will take care of itself and stuff like that, but...baby animals hit a soft spot in her. She's already taken with the kittens once you show them to her. She loves them immediately, and when the runt chooses her as their favourite, she's conflicted. It would be unfair to give one kitten so much more attention than the others, but it would be equally unfair to ignore it entirely. She makes a special effort to give all the kittens the same amount of attention, and if that one still favours her? She gives up.
Kiyba responds enthusiastically, and is quick to lord the fact that he's the runt's favourite over everyone who interacts with the kittens. He's insufferable, and you're the one who's stuck dealing with it. He doesn't leave all the care just for you, though. He helps out when he can, but just as that kitten has a favourite, so does Kiyba.
Jade gives you a thumbs up and a rare smile. "Gay sword for the gay werewolf," He sighs wistfully. "I'm gonna have to buy one of those and show it to Kazurin." He chuckles and turns his face to the side, so you can almost see under the fringe of dark red hair covering his right eye. "Our resident sword expert confronted with a blade that's more pretty than it is useful?" He chuckles, and you see mischief flash in his visible jade green eye. "I can't wait."
