You enter your house feeling exhausted, dregs of tiredness pulling at you long after you had removed your coat and hung it on the hanger. When you don't see Jaehyun in the kitchen preparing dinner as expected, you're confused as to where he is. His shoes were placed where he always kept them after coming back home but you just brush off the thought, thinking that he was probably taking a shit or something. So you head into the bedroom you shared with your boyfriend of 6 years, preparing yourself for a steamy shower. Your plans are all immediately removed from your head, though, when you see a figure crawled up on the middle of the bed, the many blankets you owned shielding Jaehyun from the world. Worry immediately consuming you, you walk up to his figure quickly and ask him what was wrong, his shaking body scaring you to no extent.
“Jae, baby..what happened?” you gently keep your hand on his form and sit down next to him on the bed, attempting to pull the covers off his head so he could look at you. The blanket comes off his head and you see his black hair is disheveled. You turn him to face you and are beyond shocked to see tears leaking out of his eyes and falling sideways onto the white pillow. Instinctively, you lean forward with your eyes fixated on his. “What happened Jaehyun?” you question again and get a reply this time, though it's barely audible.
“I-I..Today at practice, I was just so distracted an-and I couldn't do well ... Coach scolded me a lot ..” he trails off and you know he's not crying because of getting scolded, the reason of his sadness puts you off.
Jaehyun was someone who always wanted to do his best. Well, everybody wanted to always do their best but Jaehyun was different. Whenever he made a single mistake, no matter how silly it may be, he always got angry at himself, scolding himself for not doing better. He'd always be disappointed after seeing his performances, pointing out at random moments how he was not properly standing or where his voice cracked. It was not even noticeable, sometimes the mistakes he pointed out weren't even mistakes. You always hated seeing him beat himself up over things, trying your best to comfort him and tell him that all his fans loved him, you loved him, the members loved him, so many other people loved him. And he should love himself too.
Sighing, you lean over and kiss his tears away, resting your forehead against his at an awkward angle. Jaehyun closes his eyes and relished in the feeling, his breathing gradually coming back to normal and you lean back slightly. “Jaehyun, you know right that everybody loves you so much. There's no need to get angry at yourself for such silly reasons. It's alright, it happens to everyone. Your coach was probably already stressed about other things and let his anger out the wrong way. You know that you're so good at everything you do, so just let it slide and continue. ”
Jaehyun is now stretching his hand out for you to take and pulls you into bed with him when you do, his arms wrapping themselves around your waist as he turns you around so you can look at each other. His eyes sparkles as he leans in to capture your lips with his, the feeling making you feel all warm and fuzzy. He breaks it and speaks softly, his voice soothing as ever. “I know ... Just..It's in my nature. I always force myself to do as good as I can and I don't think that whatever I do is enough .. ”his words upset you and you hug him, not caring that your sweaty clothes are probably dirtying the bed and Jaehyun. Comforting him to the best of your abilities, you don't know how long you spend with him curled up in bed, but pay no heed to it as exhaustion suddenly catches up to you and very soon, you're drifting off into dreamland.

Waking up and the first thing you notice is that your boyfriend isn’t there, where could he be this early in the morning you thought. You grab one of his big shirts, dress up and walk straight into the kitchen. He was there talking through the phone. The moment he saw you, he approached you and whispered a “good morning, babe” and gave you a small kiss before going back to his call. While waiting for him you started making yourself a coffee. He was watching you, you pointed to your coffee as a way of asking him if he wanted one, he nodded. 10 minutes after, he ended the call. He looked at you with a big smile “Babe, I got the role” Your face lighted up with a big smile. He worked really hard for this and it would be his first acting. You were very happy for him. “Oh my god, really Jae? I knew you would get it” Then his lips met yours, he pulled you into him and kissed you very hungrily, after some time you realized something. Your lips got away from his. “Wait, does that mean you may kiss another girl?” He looked at you with a curious face. “Well, I don’t know. Would that be a problem?”. You smirked, why would that be a problem, every actor does that, it’s part of their job, it doesn’t have to mean anything. “Obviously not, that’s the job of an actor. But try not to fall in love while you are with me, master.” He laughed at your answer. “ I love you, and only you, and hey, that doesn’t always happen”
“Just making sure, and I love you too. Well, we gotta celebrate, how about we get dinner at that place you like?”
“Okay, babe”
“We can ask your parents if they want to come”
“Can it be only us?, I wanna have a date with my girl”
“Oh, so it’s gonna be a date. Okay, but tomorrow we’re getting lunch with your parents, they will be so happy to hear the news.
