Give to me all the Vicky headcanons you have

Ohhhhh man, so:

-Vicky is supposed to be Nate’s dog. He doesn’t forget about the “once this is done, I’m getting a dog” conversation and Elena is both amused and agreeable, but they get so busy setting up D&F Fortunes that it doesn’t happen right away. They’re about to finally get a dog when Elena turns up pregnant. Cassie is a planned child, but they didn’t think they’d conceive so fast, and the “dog as training wheels for child” thing is no longer viable when they’re looking at having a newborn and a young dog at the same time, so they put it off. Then, when Cassie is about three years old, they bring Vicky home and when they introduce her to the new family member, she toddles over, puts her arms around Vicky and hugs her, and from there on she is Cassie’s dog.

-She’s not an official search and rescue dog or anything, but given their world travels into sometimes remote areas, but they train her to always know where Cassie is. “Find Cassie” is a command they practice through hide & seek games when she’s little, which Cassie giggles through, but it does come in handy for real once when she’s walking on a trail and twists her ankle badly enough that she can’t walk. (Nate has a heart attack but eventually cracks some “Lassie” jokes, Elena gives Vicky approx. 100 doggy treats.)

-Vicky plays fetch, but her FAVORITE version of it involves throwing a frisbee or ball into the ocean waves so she can go splashing into them as she fetches.

-A lot of nights Vicky sleeps on Cassie’s bed, but the first time they leave her at home during an expedition, Vicky actually gets in bed under the covers with Cassie when she gets sniffly because she misses her parents. Sam has a picture of the two of them the next morning. Elena frames it.

-Vicky has interrupted at least one boning session when Nate and Elena notice the dog has gotten into their room and is watching them. Killed the mood dead.

-Aside from Cassie, Nate is Vicky’s favorite human, which is why she keeps sleeping on his pillow and he keeps getting dog hair in his mouth at night.

-Every year at Christmas, Sam brings Vicky a rawhide bone with a big red ribbon on it.

-Vicky is a Good Girl.

This one is extra funny to me because I’m a tennis player and I know well the ways of Sucking At Tennis as a beginner. 

OKAY, SO. Once Nate and Elena settle into a normal life and he needs an outlet for the physical energy he’s no longer using, so among other things (I will write the fic where they run a marathon), they try tennis. Elena used to play in high school, Nate thinks it looks kinda fun, he gives it a try.

Nate SUCKS. In my experience, unless you’re some kind of weird tennis savant, getting even decent at tennis requires learning technique, and that takes a while to kick in and learn as muscle memory. You can’t brute force your way through a match through general athletic fitness and aggression, but boy does Nate try. A moderate percentage of his shots go flying out of the court or into the net like a bullet train. He’s not completely hopeless—he gets just enough kickass shots that it’s still kinda fun and makes him want to keep trying—but mainly he’s doing it to make Elena happy and because he enjoys watching her get sweaty.

Elena never tells him that while she does enjoy pursuing athletic activities together, she mainly sticks with the tennis because she likes the way his butt looks in the tennis shorts, especially when they play doubles with the couple down the block and he’s crouched forward at the net while she’s watching from the baseline.

Poker headcanons for Nate & Co.? Who's got a good poker face, who cheats, who talks smack, etc.?

Suddenly I want a pre-Drake’s Fortune fic where Nate, Eddie, Harry and whoever else are having poker night.

I only have the loosest grasp of how to play poker, but I’m gonna go with Eddie’s assessment of Nate not having a great poker face, because it’s funny. (And it lines up with his inability to lie well when caught off-guard by Elena when she talks about Lazarevic in Nepal.) He probably does  a little better when he knows they’re doing poker night and can prepare himself, but he’s definitely the worst in the group. Sully’s got the best poker face, but that doesn’t save Nate—in poker, it’s every an for himself, and Sully isn’t sharing the money he wins afterward.

Harry is the best at smack talk, but only means it when it’s directed at Nate, not that anyone can tell. Eddie is pretty middle of the road at everything. No one really dominates winning the pot, which is why they can continue to have these poker nights not and then.

Everyone cheats. They’re thieves. They’re all insulted by the suggestion that they wouldn’t cheat.

1. I am a predictable creature and Altair is my stabby fave, so his storyline in Revelations is changed so it’s not just fridging his whole LIFE to teach Ezio a lesson about family and when to let go or whatever. Maybe he still goes through a miseryfest in his later years, but if he does, let it be because of something he did and related to his own character journey and not just “some people are huge fucking assholes and will murder your family” I have such a love/hate relationship with Revelations can you tell

2. The content of AC3 remains largely the same but restructured considerably. The godawful homestead management book is just gone, Assassin recruits are more integrated into the story and useful in the game instead of an afterthought, we get to adult Connor faster and the tutorial elements aren’t sprinkled around for such a long period. Certain deleted scenes aren’t.

3. Fewer ladies get killed in a way that could reasonably be perceived as fridging (I’m weasel wording this because there are some borderline cases). I’m gonna be honest, this is half because that gets old and half because it’s harder to defend Elise’s death in Unity as really working for her character arc when so many initial love interests die.

4. Post-Revelations, the games are a little more explicit about Juno potentially being full of shit re: Lucy’s inevitable betrayal, because 1) no one should ever take Juno at face value 2) if she’s gotta be a triple agent, the ambiguity is more interesting. I really do think she was wavering on the edge of coming back to the Assassins’ side for real.

5. In AC: Rogue, someone, anyone at all, notices that while the Assassins might be assholes, the Templars are being incredibly manipulative and Shay was quick to assume the very worst of Achilles. That game is fun to play but the story makes me feel gross.

6. Because I have 6: Desmond doesn’t die, Jesus Christ. Just send him off to work with the Assassins in the background, no longer a protagonist but getting to do some good. GIVE THE MAN A BREAK.

ahh sorry this is a bit late but: for your consideration: Sam as Chloe's replacement goldfish for Flynn

Oh man, this is a tricky one! I think, to begin with (assuming they’re brought together through mutual contacts in the business ie probably Sully), Chloe would be more likely to think of Sam as a Nate goldfish, even though Nate’s not dead. I don’t need to go into their general similarities, and Sam is also a LOT like Nate circa UC3 but hopefully less likely to get Chloe nearly killed.

And I think that’s what would let her overlook how he might fill a Flynn-shaped hole in her life, because if he’s gonna be a 2.0 of anyone she doesn’t expect it to be Flynn. But I think he could. You already outlined the physical similarities, and he cares enough about the work to take it seriously while also being fun to be around. And after Libertalia I think he could be better at staying in the life while not letting it consume him.

As for replacing Flynn in the “mostly professional” way...I dunno! I like the idea I read in a fic that Sam automatically marks as off-limits any woman Nate has ever been with, but I don’t know if that would still apply once Nate has permanently settled down. If it did happen, I could see it working all right since both of them are capable of banging with affection without necessarily looking for a long-term thing. I tend to think one Drake brother is enough to bang in a lifetime though.

Despite your rudeness and unnecessary anonymity (I'm not such a delicate flower that I would flip out at you over this...though tumblr being tumblr maybe I can understand the caution after all), I'd be happy to avoid main fandom/character tags for stuff like replying to my post replies—I like to keep my blog organized with tag consistency, but I can figure out a tag that lets me do that without annoying others, so consider that done.

But if it's stuff like the initial HP sorting post you dislike, nope. Sorry. You're out of luck. That kind of thing is very silly but silliness is not a disqualifier for tagging. I don't make those kinds of posts often, though. And there's always the option of blocking me.

. IA - Ships that you currently like a lot. (They don’t have to be OTPs because not everyone has OTPs.) Friendships, pairings, threesomes, etc. are allowed.

Anyone who has remotely glanced at my tumblr knows how I feel about Nate/Elena. Sticking with more-than-friendships, I also like Nate/Chloe (in its own place and time), Harry/Chloe (as a wistful/tragic kind of thing, not so much into happily-ever-afters for them), Charlie/Chloe. And I don't know if I SHIP it, but I'm kind of fascinated by the potential screwed-up dynamic of Sam/Rafe, because by god that would not be a healthy ship.

D - A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t.

Malik/Altair in Assassin's Creed, because then at least I'd have more fic for my pairing :P I don't super dislike it, actually, and I kinda dig Altair/Maria/Malik, but every time I see a fic with Malik is Altair's unquestioned one true love I'm like WHAT ABOUT MARIAAAAA

P - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas).

I answered this in my last reply, but off the top of my head for funsies...oh! Actually, Uncharted fused with the world of Graceling (a wonderful book series by Kristin Cashore, h/t to @jinlian​) is something friends and I have tossed around before. In the book series (which is sort of a medieval fantasy world), people with particular inhumanly amazing talents (which can be specific as archery or as general as survival) are known as Gracelings. We decided Nate’s Grace would be to be able to make whatever he’s standing on explode or crumble. I mean, that’s basically his superpower already.

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?

It was probably going to happen either way, but Elena is 100% the one who initiated her romantic/sexual relationship with Nate when she walked to his motel room with the express intention of getting his pants off after the end of Drake's Fortune.
