jake & amy | imgonnagetyouback
b99 season 8
i have this theory that the whole squad will go back to the beach house in season 2. this time though, jake and amy bring mac and are both too focused on their baby to spend time with the others.
From enemies to lovers is just the best trope
did i do this right?😂😂😂
just a friendly remiender even if u don't want to hold the baby 💀
Jake and Amy:*at a basketball game*
Jake and Amy:*get on kiss cam*
Amy: *blushing, as red as a tomato*
Jake: *making an obvious “no” gesture*
Crowd: *boos*
Jake and Amy: *kiss cam comes on several times during the game, objecting*
Jake, fed up with it after the millionth time, stands up and says: “FINE! YOU GUYS WANT A KISS?!?”
Jake: *stands up, grabs Amy by her face, kisses her abruptly, and sits back down*
Crowd: *cheers*
Amy: *is thinking: what the hell just happened? Did he really just-*
Amy: “I wonder why the camera kept coming back to us...”
Jake: *shrugs and continues to watch game*
Boyle: *nearby, slipping a hundred dollars to the cameraman* “Thank you, my kind sir.”

My Top 10 Ships in Ongoing Shows: Where They’re At.
With most of our favourite shows having finished their current seasons, gone on hiatus, or nearing the end of the season, I though I’d make this list to remind us where our popular (and not so popular) ships are at right now. (WARNING: SPOILERS)
1. Jake and Amy (Brooklyn Nine-Nine)
This ship gives me life. Has there ever been a more wholesome couple on television? Peraltiago is happily married and only await better things in their future. Knowing the show, I’m positive the writers won’t add any plot twists for shock value, and that makes this one of the most secure ships on TV right now.
2. Dean and Castiel (Supernatural)
For over ten years, Supernatural has left us pining for Destiel to go canon, only to leave us queerbaited and disappointed every single season. The current season has been no different. Will the most celebrated tumblr-ship ever go canon? Unfortunately, I don’t think that itch will ever go away no matter how much the writers try to “scratch” it with half-baked concessions. All we can hope for in the future are moments when the on-screen chemistry of the characters feed into our fantasies.
3. Eleanor and Chidi (The Good Place)
The Good Place Season 3 finale Ieft me angry and crying. We've waited so, so long for these two to get together, and for what? The way Chidi and Eleanor's relationship progressed this season was disappointing in general but this was the cherry on top of the pile of shit, and a completely unnecessary development of plot in my opinion. There were a zillion other ways to deal with the situation besides erasing Chidi’s f*****g memory, the oldest and most overused trick in the book. Let’s hope that they find their way to each other next season, like they always do.
4. Amy and Jonah (Superstore)
I love these two and their playful, fliry, chemistry onscreen. But do I love the way their relationship was made canon? Definitely not. I was unhappy from the beginning, since their first kisses happened when they were dating other people. And when they finally got together this season, they had to keep it a secret?! With the baby and the ex-husband in the mix, no matter how hard I ship these two, I cannot bring myself to be wholly happy for them. Let us hope for more wholesome Amy and Jonah content after the hiatus!
5. Charlie and Dee (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia)
I admit, this is a pretty unpopular ship. But ever since their kiss in Season 10 (one of the realest moments on the show), I have been shipping them with all my heart. Has there ever been anything more heartwarming than Charlie’s impromptu valentine song for Dee last season? I hope that these two continue on their whacky outcast adventures in the coming season. But do I want them to be canon? I don’t think so. This is, after all, one of those ships one enjoys imagining, but never wants to be officially canon.
6. Reid and JJ (Criminal Minds)
Talking about ships that only make sense as headcanons, or that made sense a long time ago but one does not want to be canon on TV anymore, let us talk about the recent season finale of Criminal Minds. What the f**k was that? I used to ship Jeid too, but that was thirteen seasons ago! I am not happy with the way the writers pulled a How I Met Your Mother with these two amazing friends just because the show is going to be on its final season. With more and more TV relationships portraying unproblematic and uncomplicated and simply wholesome couples, this canon ship feels forced this late in the show. However, in an ideal TV world, I think these two would make a perfect couple, and we can only hope that if their relationship is played out next season, they do Will justice. In sum, I am not happy with the way they wrote this, but I remain an old-fashioned sucker for angst.
7. Sherlock and Joan (Elementary)
This is also one of those ships which work wonderfully as a headcanon but I really don’t want to see on TV. There have been so few amazing male-female platonic relationships portrayed on television that these two are a breath of fresh air. I love them together, and I admit that I think they would make a fine couple, but let us satisfy ourselves with fanfiction and hope they never become romantically involved.
8. Joel and Miriam (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel)
In the first season, when I hated Joel, and was so happy that Miriam had found her way out of their terrible marriage. But in the recent season, Joel’s character was explored more holistically and he started coming off as a supportive, loving friend who could-perhaps- turn into what Miriam wants him to be. That is why the last scene of the finale- the two making out- left me elated. But at the end of the day, this show is about Miriam and her life and career as a comedian, and I am not sure whether this ship will allow for that core story to develop the way it should. I ship them so, so hard, but I am unsure whether they should be together. Next season, I’d rather see them be the close and supportive friends they have come to be.
9. Abbi and Ilana (Broad City)
I really don’t care if this ship becomes canon, but if it did, I would smile. Their friendship is already wonderful and their storylines are fun, but I don’t know whether this ship even makes sense within the context of the show. Sure, Ilana is canonically bisexual and is almost explicitly attracted to Abbi. But the way the show is written, even if the two don't get romantically involved their friendship already has the makings of an epic relationship.
10. BoJack and Diane (BoJack Horseman)
Initially I was frustrated that BoJack and Diane did not get together. But over the last five years and with with my own changing perceptions of mental health, I've come to see why this ship never went canon early on in the show. I am so grateful that Diane and Mr. Peanutbutter’s marriage and divorce was in no tangible way connected to BoJack, and that the writers allowed these individual characters to develop without the mess of a conventional romantic narrative. But, as of this season, unresolved issues and sexual tension linger between BoJack and Diane. Now that they have hit their respective rock bottoms and are both trying to stand back up, I'd like to see their relationship develop a healthy romantic arc next season.
