i've finished series 1 & 2 of skins and it makes me sad that i won't see generation 1 again in the show. the cast was so good and i love characters and their friendships. the show literally made me what to laugh and cry at the same time and i love it when a show does that to me. but i guess it was for the best that they change the cast, 'generation', every 2 series/seasons so the characters and their stories don't drag on for too long, as it's only supposed to follow them in their two years of sixth form/college.

i mentioned this in my skins hot takes but i love the fact the strongest friendship on the show is between a drug addict, a muslim, a gay guy and a black woman (according to tiktok, jal was part of the chris-anwar-maxxie friendship?? idk i need to rewatch), it shows that despite being written in 2006 and coming out in 2007, this show was ahead of its time.
