In the quest for good Japanese Mexican food, we tried El Paso in Aoyama! We got jalapeños rellenos, queso fundido, and chili con carne, and the flavors were good! A few years ago, it would have been at the top of my list.
The jalapeños were stuffed with melted cheese, rather than cream cheese, which was new to me but still tasty. The queso fundido was okay, though I’d never had it before, but I liked the corn tortillas it came with! And the chili was really nice! Japanese chili tends to be really sweet, but this had the right savoriness and I would go back for it.
