Will Smith And Jay Z to Produce New HBO Miniseries on Emmett Till

In another powerful collaboration, to bring awareness to people on history that affects us all. Do you remember that Jay Z and Will Smith linked up for the recreation of Annie. Well their teaming up again, this time for an even bigger project. To tell the story of 14 year old Emmett Till who in 1955, was lynched by a white mob in Mississippi in what’s known as one of America’s most brutal hate crimes. His mother famously had an open-casket funeral for her son so that newspapers would print photos of the gruesome nature of Till’s attack.”-AOL

Till’s killer were acquitted of the charges, however later on admitted to the killings. Another unsolved mystery solved and still no justice. This mini series will run about six hours and will depict his life. This sounds like a very interesting series and I will be watching it, hope you will too. We need to be paying attention to these series and movies that give us a better understanding of history.

Super team if you ask me, and I’m sure the series will be nothing but spectacular, only thing we are waiting for is it’s debut. Will Smith and Jay Z, along with Jay Brown, James Lassiter, and Aaron Kaplan, will bring “an immersive and in depth exploration” of Till’s story to HBO. I can’t wait to watch it.
