Halo-Ween (Inktober) Sketch #19 John 117, Jame 005 and Fred 104 spring their trap on Banshee Bombers by jumping off a cliff and setting off the Fougasses filled with napalm. Based on the prologue of Halo The Fall of Reach.

James getting bit on the arm by a little girl and going basically "Wow, that hurt way more than I was prepared for" only to - not even a minute later - jump from a third story window and land on a moving car with his body (wearing regular civilian clothes btw), dent it badly enough that he was pretty sure his landing 'damaged the inner mechanics' and wouldn't work anymore, and then proceed to not once mention anything further about the car is actually kinda funny. Like he's familiar with vehicles enough in every concievable way through context, but the ten year old girl's teeth were a surprise.

I have a new Halo headcannon

James 005 went missing as of August 30, 2552.

Noble six is presumed KIA as of August 30,2552.

BUT

Recently, I saw a clip of Noble’s ‘death’ and the hit that I thought Noble had taken and died from, turns out he/she actually dodged and kept on fighting the Sangheili. So their actual death wasn’t captured on that recording. So since it’s mostly just a “presumed KIA” case, then I headcannon that Noble ended up getting off the planet somehow and started wandering, came across James-005 floating out in open space days later and now they’re just two buddies traversing the stars.

Yup. That’s what happened. There’s no convincing me otherwise now.
